I think they were just surprised that the difference was perceptible, you know? The speed of sound in atmosphere works out to well over 1,000 feet per second.... So being that close, one would think the two events would be essentially simultaneous. This just shows how awesome the human brain is.
You really should visit this ship. There’s also a land based museum with a gift shop. There’s this exhibit based on a Vietnam War era pilot’s helmet. The guy was shot down and spent some time in a POW camp. His flight helmet spent several years in a North Vietnamese war museum....until it was “liberated” & repatriated a few years ago by a visiting American tourist.

Only one with written permission. Permission was asked for by rear admiral isic cambell Kidd's widow. Kidd was named after him. He was killed on USS ARIZONA December 7 1941 At Pearl Harbor.
I live like an hour from BIW, a very prevalent ship building factory. They are constantly working on new ships, and I believe they are working on one of our new aircraft carriers. This ship is like a sailboat compared to them.
In 90's me and my Skydiving freinds jumped onto the levy right in front of the USS KIDD during the Balloon festival. David and Truitt Miley, Phillip Baxter, Andy Miller, Mike Brown and Donna Skipper. RIP David.

Guns are breech-loaded and don’t have to be cleaned out after every shot. TLDR: If it doesn’t fire a CANNONball, it shouldn’t be called at cannon

So in order to get the ingredients for their ice cream they would hold supplies and personnel hostage during a transfer ship to ship on the open ocean. Hence the pirate name and flag. I may or may not have really enjoyed this place during field trips, and subsequent trips.
Mascot was put on stack shortly after launch by crew to honor admiral Kidd who's Nick name in the naval academy was cap after Captain Kidd the buckineer.
