May I ask the difference in hand hold? I was taught in between two fingers like baton style and minimal involvement of thumb. Is that just a different approach? I can see how the hand hold you are using would definitely be useful for the thicker, heavier canes. Basically I am sure it is good to know both but just wanted your take on it;-)
***** Best description between first and second finger but same wrist action that you are doing. I was taught that it was the daintier way as a female. Our male dancer holds with thumb and 1st finger. It actually I am sure doesn't matter much but I was just curious from an approach aspect. I will send you a video but I don't think it is clear enough to show the delineation. Just a curious mind and I like seeing different techniques on things and the rationale behind them;-)
Excellent teaching thanks
Thanks a lot
