How did you fill the color with the lasso tool, I tried paint bucket or eyedropper but it doesn't seem to work. If you can answer that would be awesome and thanks for the amazing tutorial!

Does this work on illustrator? The only thing I accomplish by using the lasso tool is a squiggly line which disappears after I'm finished.

Thank you very much. And I'm curious, I'll write it through a translator. Press alt during drawing
You said you changed from lasso tool to polygonal tool, but it does not change. It is too sad. Am I misinformed?

i like to use very thin lines. so when im doing this i have to be so meticulous and almost re-draw everything. it takes so much time... is there any way around this???

    • @tasfa10

***** using the lasso tool on top of very thin lines which forces me to almost do all the outlines again with the lasso. i cant be careless because the lines are so thin that i would easily go out of the lines. so i have to be very careful and precise and make sure i dont step outside... i takes a lot of time.

Use a program like illustrator to get your inking in that way you will get a good resolution but if you you are not familiar with that then try going to change your resolution in Photoshop, using the quick selection tool and a white background under(preferably your choice) you can start selecting out your inks and get a good flat without zooming in. I like to use it cause it leaves some white space behind which give me a good feel of colouring

Daniel Ravits You have to start using the lasso before you press alt, then hold alt and lift up the pen, only then will it turn into the polygonal lasso tool. From there you just keep tapping your pen on your pad. At that point you can either end the selection by letting go of alt while the pen is in the air, or just put the pen's tip back down to rest on the pad and draw more, and it will go back to behaving as the free lasso tool.

I have a keyboard shortcut set to the bucket tool to fill it. I never click the buttons to change tools.
My latest video is a more thorough explanation of my process.

After starting your selection, holding ALT or Option on a Mac will draw a straight line from where you picked up to where you click next and keep the selection open.
