MAX (an acronym of Planners, Community, Environment in Hebrew) is comprised of architects, urban planners and social activists. It was founded in 2007 with the aim of improving the state of the Hadar HaCarmel neighborhood, which used to be the lively urban center of Haifa. Over the years, the members of MAX initiated different community projects whose purpose was to raise awareness to the neighborhood's uniqueness and encourage its responsible and attentive rehabilitation.
