You can get natural soap and it's been used for thousands of years and is super effective, biodegradable, and harmless so soap should be used at least the natural soap as it is the same as the chemicals loaded stuff.

Vinegar plus baking soda is more or less fizzy salt* water.
*It's actually carbon dioxide-which is the volcano bit-and sodium acetate, which is apparently sometimes used to make salt and vinegar chips.

Thanks for a great video. For cleaning glass you need nothing but 2 microfiber rags, a wet one which you use first and then wipe the window (or any other glass surface) with a dry one. Thats all. Something about the way the microfiber cloths are made cleans everything, just like the magic eraser on the wall.
As always, I love you videos. Take care.

Great video Emily! I have started using vinegar a few months ago and I am sooo happy with the results! My recipe is very simple: just equal parts of white vinegar and water. I have also found a recipe for a cleaning paste you can store. It consists of baking soda with a little bit of dishsoap and some drops of essential oil, mixed together until they become a thick paste. You can scrub the bathroom with it, although I don't think that it disinfects.

Yay! I’m SO glad you are giving this a try...we swapped so much over and Im so glad to be free of harsh chemicals that really aren’t necessary and are expensive.
We use vinegar and baking soda for everything. We also have a wonderful stream cleaner for the rest. We use bleach if it’s truly necessarily.

My favorite room spray is easy. I take 2 parts water to 1 part rubbing alcohol, then you sent it as heavy or light as you want it. Little tip on this one... Give the bottle a little shake before use to make sure the oils are mixed in. I use 91% rubbing alcohol because that it is also a nice disinfectant 😊 but the alcohol helps the water to evaporated quickly leaving the good smell behind. I will spray on my comforter, drapes and throw pillows and blankets. My favorite fragrance oil is blueberry cobbler 😊

So nice to see you try out DIY cleaners that are better for health and the environment! :) For washing clothes you can try natriumpercarbonat instead of borax. However it'll work from 50degrees up and you'll need a product with activator (TAED) for lower temperatures. I use it to soak whites with for a bit before throwing them in with the light wash. I make my own washing liquid with chestnuts. It's free and works great.

Really liked this video! I use water and vinegar for all my hard surfaces. Even just plain water and a good cloth leaves streak free windows, Windex somehow convinced us we needed a special product for that. I also love vodka and water as a fabric deodorizer; it works amazing and the vodka smell disappears when it dries. A really great bathroom tile cleaner is dish soap, vinegar, and water in a spray bottle; it works amazing. The smell can be overpowering though so I would only use this in a well ventilated bathroom. I agree with another commenter on here that dish soap and hydrogen peroxide is a great stain remover, especially for food and or oil stains.

Great video, thank you for doing it! One thing I cannot quite understand with most “natural” recipes I find...doesn’t vinegar just cancel out the baking soda and turn it into basically salty water?... I don’t understand the concept at all since they would cancel each other out. Is it the actual foaming reaction that cleans while it’s happening or is everyone seriously just cleaning with salt and water?

Great video, Emily! I was wondering though how long these sprays with the lemon last? When i leave a lemonade outside for a few days the water gets a funny smell and taste. thank you ;)

Great video! The bottle that you made your lemon rosemary cleaner in...is it glass or plastic and where can I find it in that size? I really have only been seeing 8 or 16 oz bottles but yours looks nice and big.

Lovely wholesome content from Emily as always! Great tips for the environment conscious viewer such as myself and things I will be trying now I have just bought my first home. I really enjoy Emily’s videos. One of my favourite UA-cam creators and I never miss a video. Well done Emily ❤️

I find even with all the chemicals my boys can really ruin some white clothes. The sun does a fab job of bleaching out the stains :)

Soda and peroxide (1:1) make wonderful stain remover. It works on both whites and brights. No discoloration. Works best if you leave it for a day or two. Btw I absolutely love your hack with putting stains in the sun, it definitely works if stain is carotene based

Hi! Love your chanel! Great video! Their is a tip, with the toilet cleaner, put the baking soda in a shaker, and the vinegar mix in a spray bottle, and keep it in the bathroom, and when you need to clean, just sprinkle the baking soda, and spray the vinegar mix on to it!

I’m so glad you have tried it, well done 👏 loved it ❤️❤️❤️ we have swapped to most of the products you used as well as Norwex and loving it.
I wonder if Mrs. Hinch would ever try it, I always think about our little ones breathing in all the chemicals in ☹️ that’s one reason I started changing what we use X
