    The CDMX Metro is the best in the world. And I know what I say, I have lived in NYC (the 2d best but definitely dirtiest in the world), in London, have extensively used the subway in Paris, Berlin and many other places. Mexico's subway is the cleanest I have ever seen, it is very reliable, and did I mention the free wifi in the trains? Add the metro bus, the red double deckers you think are right out of London, the blue e-buses, and of course my favorite: the peseros! I love these rickety little buses which are amazingly reliable and cheap. And did I mention the metro is the cleanest you will ever see? CDMX is a public transportation nerd's paradise. The little Volkswagen beetle Taxis sadly are gone, but riding a cab can be "interesting," too, depending on how daring your driver is. I had once a driver who simply got around the traffic jam by driving against oncoming traffic :) So, forget a car, you might be able to drive it, but you'll never find a parking spot. Public transportation is the way to go in Mexico City.

    • @EatBailaTravel
      @EatBailaTravel  7 місяців тому +1

      😅😅 wow so cool! We don’t have a whole lot to compare it to and are still impressed by this system so I’m glad to hear your perspective about it! Haha that driver going against oncoming traffic is wild! I’d be fearing for my life!!!

    Dudes! This video is genius! I took the subway finally after my 8th trip to Mexico City and it was super easy! And we even did a transfer . I went from Centro Historico to the Basilica de Guadalupe! I loved it! They had a museum of astronomy along the way as well. A super long tunnel, all dark with constellations on the ceiling. I also took a public local bus in Oaxaca and it was super cute. 5 pesos! I am a big fan of public transportation. And then adding the local taco stands - genius! Do more videos on the trams and buses. They look tricky for some reason. Fun fact: TAPO - the main bus station in DF (the round one) has buses that take you to the main entrance of teotihuacan for $5 round trip! No need for $70 private cars. And the buses leave every 30 minutes!

    Do all your videos in both English and Spanish versions! Spanish speaking UA-camrs make coin! I regularly watch correano vlogs, la ruta de la garnacha, and zapatos de Monica! Their base viewers are Mexicans in Mexico. Mexicans LOVE to watch videos on their own country. They rack up the views and make coin! Think about it. Double your viewership!

    • @EatBailaTravel
      @EatBailaTravel  7 місяців тому +5

      Gosh I wish we could! We can hardly keep up with producing one video a week. We’ve tried before. Filming the same video twice (in English then again in Spanish), we did it for Coatepec, Veracruz but it wasn’t sustainable for us ☹️ Then we were hoping and waiting for UA-cam to release a feature that would allow us to dub our own videos into another language but they still haven’t released that feature to all content creators (only a select few 😏).

    Would you make a video on things new immigrants to Mexico need to get acclimated? In particular, one that talks about getting passes to ride the bus (buying from Oxxo and buying from a kiosk), setting up and using the Didi app, paying a bill, getting money from an ATM, getting groceries from a mercado (suggestion people: bring your own bag!)...just the basics, but all in one video. I know you've done videos in the past covering some, if not all, of this, but they are separated. Or, if you already have a video like this that I just havent seen yet, please let me know. • @DavidCoxDallas
      @DavidCoxDallas 7 місяців тому

      Dallas now has 4. 214 is the original area code. then, house phone went to 972 (which is interestingly also Israel's country code & many Jews live in the area) & far North Dallas got a 3rd one, 469, & a 4th one, 945.@@EatBailaTravel

    Bro, the polulation in Mexico city is 23 million people, the 9 million people you mention is just in old DF it is just a small fraction of the city.

    • @EatBailaTravel
      @EatBailaTravel  Місяць тому

      Yea the city limit is one thing but the 23 million figure includes the whole metropolitan area

    • @darks7504
      @darks7504 Місяць тому

      @@EatBailaTravelPublic transportation interconnects the entire city and delegations, so you are telling me that only people from DF is allowed to use transportation? Even though it's just a small fraction of the city itself? Using that logic, in that case, the metro in NY City transports only 300 000 people, because the population in Manhatan is only 300 000 people.

    Surprised you didn't cover the Cablebús, but that might be another video. If you've ever been on a ski lift, the ride will be a bit mundane, but smooth. There were 20 to 30 mph crosswinds by looking at the trees below, but was a smooth ride. The portraits and murals that people had painted on their rooftops made the trip from Piño Suarez to Constitution de 1917 worth it. Plus it was 7 or 8 Pesos each way. Worth it!

      @@EatBailaTravel For the southern route, or L2 (the longest cable car line in the world) over scenic Iztapalpa, you get off at Metro Constitution de 1917, the eastern terminus of the Green Line. Follow the signs, swipe your Metro card one more time and off you go. I found it without a problem and my Spanish is horrible and I'm as sharp as a bowling ball, so I've been told.
