There’s a reason this chronograph is highly rated. Clearly very well made. One of the better chronographs out there. The design isn’t for me at all but I can certainly appreciate and admire this great confident watch.
The El Primero series is legendary, and with good reason. This particular version is too big for me to wear confidently, but there are smaller versions without the open heart option and these are very special. It's something to save for after you've qualified and are head of SWATCH aftercare in the UK... Have a good weekend my friend, it's course work and stress on Monday! LG Bob 🍻🥨
Tomorrow shouldn't be so bad as all of last I was building a room for a polish bay at the watchmaking shop, I'm doing a work experience course. I'm planing to do a video about it soon which should be really interesting I hope :)
This piece is a true representation of my view of a perfect watch. I am absolutely in love with it. My guess regarding the lack of a hacking function is to protect the movement.
I own the grey dial version of this, best chronograph i have ever owned, so much so to putting this above my panda speedy. I considered getting the A385 before, couldnt pass up the open heart and went for this. Generally do not fancy skeletonised watches, i make this an exception as every time watching that pallet fork ticking at 10 bit is simply mesmerising, such satisfaction. So even though its lug to lug is a bit stretchy for my teeny 6.75" wrist, i opted this. Still fits alright without over hanging.
Great review and stunning watch. I honestly don’t understand why people are so obsessed with Rolex. IMO Zenith is a much finer product and represents high horology. Rolex doesn’t. Parenthetically, why would you want hacking seconds on a watch that has only a partial running seconds display? The watch is super accurate and it is a chrono for timing things: a hacking seconds feature only adds stress to the escapement and is completely superfluous.
Hi Sir the Zenith is a beautiful watch I really like them but when it comes to striping down the movement the Daytona is designed better and feel more robust, as for a hack you are right on this one as there is only a partial display but a hack is a simple thing, very thin and light and so doesn't add any real stress to the balance. I can only think they didn't add one being the escapement is so far away for the sliding pinion
What a great review. Very fair and I totally agree about the loom. It is a shame it isn’t hacking, but on the plus side it stops getting too anal about its running accuracy. I liked the Oris Diver too.
Own and love this piece. Huge Zenith fan. Thank you!
Nice Its a classic model with great pedigree enjoy
