I found one of these bad boys while looking through some of my dad's things. I have no clue how to use this camera, nor anything else needed for this beauty to work
You could just get a clearclick AV recorder and then youre all set. Ive just bought the 4k version to see how I get on with more recent mini DV ones (more experimental than anything else but I want decent quality) as there is a LOT of interest in re using old machine like this. Wont cost a lot either
@@dantedlane2 just verify because there are different battery mounts for these cameras. some are set up for anton bauer. i bought a np1 type battery at B&H lasts plenty long for the short takes i usually do. Good Luck with it!
@@giovannivisintin2806 the sony slvr1000 is out there on the used market, is still repairable and outputs a great picture. svo2000 is also a good option also, same machine practically.
agree! i had some changed by service center in the 90s but now it’s gotta warm up to work. problem is where does one find someone to re-cap it? they tell you throw it away it’s not worth repairing, but i choose to use mine, i paid enough for it! would like to know more about your x2 since you re-capped it. thanks!
Watched it through to the end this is a great YT video and hugely educational on how times have evolved
That looks awesome! I'm considering buying one for movie making, as the look reminds me of 16mm film.

I still have mine and it still looks like new. I guess that's because I bought a body bag for it when I first bought it.
put up some video with it!

So this is like the x2b? What battery does it use can the battery still be bought
this one takes NP1 or the JVC brick style. i use NP1 and yes you can find them still today.
