Ok so there’s the theory that says Amanda is a dead body since she says she feels herself rotting and that she’s out there somewhere. When I heard about this I actually thought about the secret tape of Amanda and Wooly going to get a treasure in the forest. They were about to get the “treasure” but wooly stops Amanda, so we never saw what was under the ground. Now my theory is that the supposed treasure was actually Amanda’s dead body

Wooly actually growing a spine has to be my favorite Wooly moment. Unlike in some other moments in the full game, he seems to just talk to the viewer before Amanda notices. But in this one, he literally just stops trying and told the person to destroy the tape. Even though it resulted in death. He was still savage right at that moment.
Guy just didn’t care, he literally had it with Amanda, I ave to respect him for that. I actually like Old Willy’s voice more than the new. Amanda’s face of disgust after Wooly talks back to her is also gold. I’m making a reply to my comment cus i don’t wanna lose my heart.
But seriously, he talked back to a demon or whatever, that could annihilate him in seconds. Wooly always gets the most of it when it’s suffering. All that pain got him sick of it.

For anyone wondering, the characters, Skip and Chip, at the end of the third secret tape for the full game are actual characters, having originated from a game made under a Dread-X Collection. This game was called "Chip's Tips" (kinda like Blue's Clues, in that sense). I think it's a sort of creator thumbprint, since the devs of Amanda the Adventurer got help from DreadXP to make this game a complete experience.

Okay,I have a theory on what every one of the tapes represent.
The house in the old secret tape is the house of the kidnapped girl Lauren. The driveway and everything looks exactly the same. Also,notice how the thing you have to type in after that has 6 letters. Just like the name Lauren. We also know that Kate was investigating what was going on with Hameln and the show. Now,that brings me to my next theory. Lauren is Kate's daughter. Logically,this makes much more sense than Kate just for some reason having tapes of random kids' birthday parties. It also gives her a reason to start investigating Hameln and the show. Also,did you notice how when the happy birthday singers sing when the cake is melting in the main game that it silences before they get to the name? I don't think this is a coincidence. You should try typing in Lauren in the prompt box in the 2nd secret tape and see if anything happens.
The forest images represent the burial sight of Rebecca,the soul in Amanda. That's the reason why Wooly stops her from digging it up,to not show a corpse on a children's TV show. Which is why in the true ending Rebecca says: "I'm out there. Somewhere". Her body is out there.
The slaughter house photo represents Wooly getting killed by Amanda after finally standing up for himself. That's why he's a sheep,he's too scared to stand up for himself,and when he does,he gets slaughtered,just like a sheep.
The 2023 tape is the soul of the butcher speaking to us. That's why the scene happens in his shop. Also,the ad after that advertises pizza and bread sticks. These can be found in bakeries. Why is this important? Because in the full game,the butcher is also the owner of the bakery. I think he's the one speaking in that tape,and if he isn't,then it's just a lost soul that was added for an easter egg.
Tape #1 in the full game is Kate,filming her daughter Lauren's birthday party,which gets ruined when she disappears.I think her soul was transferred from the showinto the creepy doll in the attic after Kate did a ritual using the sigils,which would give Kate a reason to keep the doll. To try and save her daughters soul. The reason why I think this is because it makes much more sense than Kate for some reason having random tapes from her neighbors or something. It also matches the layout of the house in the old secret tape,which backs this up. I think that's also why Blabbot says "Send my condolences to Kate." It"s because her daughter was kidnapped. We also know Blabbot is extremely intelligent and capable of being friends with people. We know he belonged to Kate and her family,so it's logical to assume he became friends with them. Now,if your friend's child disappeared,you would of course send them your condolences.
Tape #2 in the full game is what we see in secret tape #5 ,except this time,Sam isn't present. I suggest this is the first one of these "tests".
Tape #3 in the full game is what Hameln,or the demons Hameln was summoning did to Sam after he didn't like what he saw in tape #5 and tried to stop them. Also,notice how the man being interviewed said Amanda was teaching kids not to listen to their parents. I suggest that was what they were doing to Lauren,and the other kids they lured. They taught them not to listen to their parents,so they would listen to the show instead,and let the demons Hameln was summoning enter the children's minds,so they could be sucked into the show. That's the reason why almost every single object has eyes,because they contain the souls of the other victims kidnapped by it. I think Kate did a ritual using the sigils to take her daughters soul out of the show and to transfer it into the doll. It would be much easier for her to rescue her daughter if she was in a doll,which is an object,instead of a TV show
Tape #4 tells us the backstory of Sam,Rebecca and Kate,and also what happened before Hameln's purchase of Amanda. The old episodes look much worse than the ones in the full game,and that's because they were before Hameln's purchase,when the show was normal. When Hameln buys the show,they make it look better with a bigger budget,but with the cost of making Sam's daughter summon demonic spirits,Sam being killed and kids being kidnapped because of it. What Hameln and the demons did to Sam is most likely killing him and trapping his soul in the show,specifically as the barn in the farm tape. Why is this? It's because when you input the "Sam" secret in the farm level,the barn looks at you,like someone said his name. And since every other soul that was captured into the show and the victims of the monster all got trapped as a character inside of it,makes me think this theory is true,and it tells us what happened to Sam. His soul was trapped in the show alongside his daughter and the hundreds of souls that were also lured,watching his daughter's soul,now corrupted by the demons,lure even more kids and kill more victims against her will. And since he's just the barn,the only thing he can do is look around and breath. So he couldn't do anything about it,even if he wanted to. He was forever trapped,forced to watch as hundreds of innocent children get the same fate. Since Sam and Kate were friends,when he disappeared,Kate helped his child. Kate of course knew her friend wouldn't disappear out of the blue,and after spending time with Rebecca,she knew something was going on. Her child,Lauren disappearing beforehand would also make her even more suspicious of Hameln. That's when she started investigating. The other tapes were evidence she was collecting. Her child's disappearance,the weird change of the programming,Sam's disappearance,the weird tests Hameln was doing,the letters from Joanne,the old news,all evidence to her investigation. Now,Kate and Rebecca grew close and became friends,which is why Amanda is sending her a package. It also explains why Kate kept all the tapes of the show,she wanted to rescue Rebecca,Jordan and the other lost souls. That's also why Amanda says "Something bad happened" She's aware there's a different person watching the tapes,since we know her and the other souls can see,hear and interact with the outside world. She heard that Kate died,which is why she grows sad and says that. I think Kate talked daily to Amanda,Wooly, and the other souls,which is why the tapes were everywhere across the attic and why she didn't destroy them.

Tape #5 are the tests Hameln was doing,this time Sam being concerned and trying to stop them from doing this. The first demon "bye yell" or baal is a demon of child sacrifice mentioned in the Bible. Just like how Hameln was kidnapping kids,and why they were doing it in the first place. He is said to bring fertility,which could also be money. The second demon "pie man" or paimon is a demon that is said to know all the knowledge of secret things. The third demon "baa lamb" or balam is a wicked prophet. He was paid by king Balac,who was jealous of the Israelites, to curse the nation of Israel. Since he could do curses,he could probably do other types of magic,which is why Hameln was also summoning him. They were using his magic to control people's minds,which is why kids like Lauren and the others are said to be in a trance. And as for paimon,they probably wanted knowledge. I suggest that Hameln was originally a cult. They needed to sacrifice children,and what better way to get chuldren than by starting a children's toy and animation company? That's why Hameln exists in the first place,and why all the weird stuff started happening after they bought Amanda. I think they were using the money from Baal that they got from previous rituals to buy out small cartoons and to manufacture toys. They used the cartoons to kidnap kids,and the toys probably had secrets to lure children to them too. That's why Blabbot has secret codes. Even though he doesn't say anything weird,other versions probably did,which is why Blabbot was programmed to befriend children in the first place,to lure them to these cultists. This might just be a coincidence,but the first part of his name "Blab" kind of sounds like a mix of the pronunciation of baal and balam (bye yell and baa lamb) . Also the reason why they're splitting the names of the demons into multiple easy to understand non-suspicious words is to stop Sam and Rebecca from being weirded out by what they're reading,and also to probably make it easier for Rebecca to read and manifest these demons. The man in the headphones is probably a demon too,most likely satan. They've used a ritual on this headset to allow demons to speak to Rebecca through it and get her to do horrible things. This combined with Rebecca manifesting demons is what I think makes her a monster in the tapes. Her soul has been corrupted,so anybody who watches these cursed tapes will die via the demons using her as a vessel to get stronger. She doesn't want to do those things,but by Satan telling her to do horrible things in the headphones and her manifestation tests her soul has been corrupted,with the demons almost completely controlling it. That's also the reason why only monster Amanda can exit into the real world. The demons use her soul to enter the real world and kill other victims. This is confirmed by the secret you get when typing "nobody" when Amanda asks who can help when you're hurting. She sighs and says "You"re probably right..". Nobody can help her,Sam,Jordan and the other souls. Those who are trapped,including her can only watch in horror as the demons use her soul as a vessel to kill innocent people and get stronger. The only way is for them to be replaced by another soul,which is what we see in the butcher ending. Amanda is finally free,but we are now the soul that the demons use to get stronger. This is where another theory of mine comes into play. The old version is a prequel. The fact that we're playing as an unnamed man instead of as Riley,and the fact that Kate doesn't have the old tapes, even though we can see them glitching in the mini tapes (Riley's Fav Movies,Summer 1984 and Home movies) alongside the new tapes which we know are 100% canon. Also,Wooly clearly acts different in the full game. I think the person we're playing as in the prequel is Jordan,the missing brother of Joanne Cook,who writes a note to Kate,asking her for help. We also know that in the old version,Wooly was killed,and since he's back,and we know the old tapes are canon(because they glitch alongside the new ones in the mini tapes,and we know the new ones are canon) that makes me believe there's a new soul in Wooly,and that's Jordan. This is supported by the butcher ending and what I talked about earlier. Also,in the old game,you had to let the monster in for her to kill you,but in the new game,it kicks its way right through everything. I think it gets stronger the more it kills. First manipulating and kidnapping kids using Hameln's many shows and toys and balam's spells, and then,when Rebecca was absorbed into Amanda,using her now corrupted soul and the strength it gained from the victims to now physically manifest in the real world. It then kills Jordan by manipulating him to let it in,and now,being stronger than ever,kicks its way in to kill RIley. And since Jordan isn't an impressionable kid and instead an adult,I think that"s what they were using the spirit of balam for. To cast mind control spells onto children or any victim it could find and to,first,when the monster wasn't as strong,to kidnap kids,but now for Jordan,to let it in and let it kill him. That's also why he doesn't burn the tapes,no matter how hard he tries. balam is controlling his mind,and the only thing he could do is wait and watch for him to be killed and use to strengthen the monster. Also,the monster can now barge in after collecting Jordan's soul. And since Jordan is an adult,it makes me think that the older someone is and the more knowledge they have the stronger the monster gets. That's why it took hundreds of kids to make it just be able to exist in reality,but one adult to make it be able to kick down everything. And when it killed Jordan,since Wooly was dead,and the spirit inside him too,it put Jordan's soul in Wooly,replacing the soul that left. And the reason Kate gave RIley the tapes is because she wanted her to finish the investigation and to expose the cultists at Hameln studios.
Tape #6 in the full game seems to be a test of a spin off show based on Wooly. It supports the idea of there being many shows created by Hameln to kidnap more kids. And since it's titled "Herd of Words" and because there was supposed to be a reading competition in the library named after him(mentioned in the news in secret tape #3,"Wooly's read-athon") it makes me think that Wooly was a more sophisticated character. While Amanda was a brave adventurer,Wooly liked books and reading. And they probably used the read-athon to make other kids manifest demons,which is another reason why they disguised them(bye yell,pie man,baa lamb) as simple words. This read-athon theory is even more evidence that Hameln was mass buying and making toys,competitions,and low budget TV shows all in an effort to kidnap as much children as possible.

I like how amanda went from a psychotic demon girl looking deep into your soul nearly the whole way through like you owe her money, to a more less sinister (but still psychotic) version that expresses more emotion and doesn’t stare all the time.

When Amanda says that wooly trippied and fell at 2:45 that afternoon, they are hinting that Rebecca, as seen in the grayscale vhs tape, was taken inside of a laboratory, and was experimented on, resulting in the creation of monster amanda

To be honest, besides the lore, I’m kinda glad the voice actress was possibly changed for Amanda for the final game. I feel like the one in the final game had more tone and emotion that fit the character really well. The one at the beginning seemed bland and not as creepy. Not offense to that voice actress
and the new VA sounds more like a child in order to fit the Amanda role, meanwhile the old VA sounded more like a children's game tutorial guide voice if anything. no disrespect to the original VA ofc.

I have a theory for the lore
We know that the animated show was created in 2001, and that there was a previous version of the show with Rebecca, an actress, who played the role of Amanda.
Sam, the creator of the show, went missing, but we don't know when it happened.
In the 2nd secret tape, we can see a little girl, who is presumably Rebecca, having some tests or idk, and maybe that's linked to the fact that her dad is missing. In the 3rd tape, it says that Rebecca needs some time alone to get through this trauma.
So maybe she's having some tests to see if she can recover from her dad's dissapearance, OR, the tests can be linked to this Amanda monster that can be seen in one of the endings
If it's linked to that, then what Rebecca wrote in the 2nd tape was her consent for scientists to make experiences on her, then create the monster that could possibly be linked to Sam missing, AND the girl in the 1st tape, who disappeared when watching the show. The monster could've attacked her because she was watching too much, just like the character we play in the game (Riley)
I don't know where to put these information in the lore, but here they are :
- Kate, Amanda's friend and our aunt, is dead according to the robot. Kate worked on Amanda the Adventurer along with Sam
- Somehow, Wooly doesn't seem to be an animal, since he was kinda in disagreement with Amanda when she talked about him being an animal. It's just a little weird...
- Sam is Rebecca's adoptive father
- Amanda knows who Sam is (can be seen in the zoo tape when you type "sam" instead of "ruster")
- Amanda knows she's behind a screen, and knows what is happening outside, and I assume Wolly too, since he tries multiple times to communicate with us
- I don't know where to put tape 5, but I guess Rebecca's running some tests and hears a man in her headphones. There's a red sign on the top saying "recording *smth* please". So maybe she's recording for the Amanda cartoon??? Idk
- Idk what to do with the last tape honestly...
And yeah, that's everything I understood! I probably missed some parts to have a better understanding of the lore...
Isn't Wooly implied to be Jordan? Like the boy from the notes? Or am I just going crazy and over-speculating everything? I mean, Jordan himself doesn't get anything else related about him rather than the notes themselves.

I miss the old tapes and voice actors, though that is good some of them are in the final release. If the story continues in a DLC or sequel, I hope the other tapes can be discovered and seen

I love the game as a whole, but the older version felt way more unsettling to me. The game overall is very well polished and very well made. Spooky stuff all around, and interesting story. I want a prequel to the company and how their their tapes became evil in the first place, why they made the deal with the devil if you will.

I got chills at the first full game secret tape
while I was watching I noticed how big the animation improvement was
and its really cool to see how the game is growing (I was looking at wooly because in my opinion he looks alot better)
At 5:17, the driveway is where the kid and her parents went missing on her birthday party in the orange tape.
The hidden tape in the original game is the most spine-chilling one for me. Wooly's acting off and uncomfortable, we're in the middle of nowhere, the music feels off.. It's just unsettling but i love it.
You have to admit, these actors are really putting their hardest into the game for the secret tapes.

I have a feeling that the old tapes are still relevant to the story, even if it was the work in progress version of the game. In the full release there are still many references to the demo that could symbolize this kind of “reset” that they put Amanda through almost dismissing what happened before?

-not much to go off of here, but i think wooly is waiting for someone.
- this "someone" is probably not the player, as when wooly coughed, he made direct eye contact with the player, which means he is likely waiting for amanda.
- wooly makes certain body actions here and there, which could be tied to a sort of message he is trying to send to us, but this is not likely.

I'm getting the feeling that Wooly isn't as innocent as we think he is, like he had something to do with Amanda's death and is now suffering the consequences. We are not fully aware of the circumstances surrounding her death, and what could have caused it. Perhaps Wooly appears innocent because we don't know much about him
Do we know that Rebecca/Amanda died for sure? I can't remember if it was mentioned anywhere.

In the original game were wollie grabbed the screen that was the old wolly wich i belive could be sam because i dont think he left the show took him because he wanted to stop it because there were pushing rebecca to far because she didnt want to do this and i belive that the show takes people who know to much so like sam turned into the wollie and in the new game there wolly is a 'y' not "ie" i belive that the "wolly" could be aunt kate and Rebecca is amanda cuz in the part she was says 'pie man' its her summoning a demon through Amanda
