You can learn anything if you keep practicing and don't overthink it which that last one still halts my progress often but it's a work in progress lol.

Now I'm 100% sure the inspiration for this main riff was One Step Closer by Linkin Park
Just played the intros side by side and was like holy shit
When it first got released that's exactly what i thought
I came to that realisation after having it stuck in my head for the last day, thought I was going insane because I couldn’t place it
If my ears are correct, Zombified is in A# while OSC is in A...so it's *almost* a carbon copy of the riff. I guess it just goes to show how you can still juice a lot of creativity out of an old idea!
they're really not that close when you consider all the possibilities in writing riffs.

Wow, I'm a producer and working on a solo metal project. I've been worried people won't pay attention due to my very basic guitar playing as I'm definitely more of a producer than a musician but this song being successful proves that it doesn't matter so much as long as it is catchy.
Good songwriting and catchy hooks transcend almost everything in music. Hope your project turns out well.
People worry too much about being technical and showing off complex guitar playing.
Id argue being able to express your ideas is far more important, although have to make sure to get the rhythm practice down.
Sometimes simple is best.
A lot of my favorite songs are played on 2 strings and 1 fret 99% of the time 😂 don’t worry! Do what makes you happy to make
