for me all personal reasons aside manny has token more risks the simple fact he faught marquez 4 times a guy who everyone had thought beaten him already anyways shows me manny pac could care less about a loss its more of what the fans want for him, not the same could be said for floyd
I don't really think you can hate floyd's love of the money. He's a boxer. And boxers are one of the many types of athletes that are prone to becoming broke after they retire. I guess the argument would be that Floyd doesn't deserve the hype he's getting when other boxers are more passionate about the sport than he is.

They had already negotiated on the money, the gloves, and he felt that Mayweather asking for random drug testing up to 14 days before the fight, was too much to ask. Sorry, but if I'm clean, and you want drug testing, Let's have it. Especially since they were both in their prime. Why leave the money that you asked for, on the table, if you're clean? So either A) You're not clean, and worried about coming back dirty, or B) You didn't really want to fight Mayweather, and the drug testing was just an excuse.

So, if either fighter were dirty, they would have gotten busted. Also, the drug tests were random, up to two weeks before the fight. Which means that Manny wouldn't have had to take any more drug tests, within two weeks of the fight. So what's the problem? Both fighters would have been tested. Manny got most of his demands met.

Floyd almost knocked out Cotto in RD # 12, but chose not to out of respect just like he did Oscar and Mosely.
It took Pacqio a 12 RD battle to sit Cotto down.

in the 4th marquez fight, marquez was only chasing pacquiao. he had more than years to prepare for pacquiao, while pacquiao was training for different fighters, different types and different styles.
I can't understand why people still can't see that floyd Mayweather is a fighter that avoids risks!, he fought two eliminators in order to fight Gatti instead of Tszyu, I mean who does that? He avoided Acelino Freitas and Casamayor when they were undefeated, avoided Margarito when he was a beast at 147 pounds. He avoided Cotto when Cotto was in his prime then decided to fight when he was damaged goods. The second time around when he negotiated with Pacquiao and Pacquiao said yes to all the demands of floyd, drug testing, ring size, gloves, dates etc . . He decided to take a year off boxing and Pacquiao was a Beast at that stage, if the fight ever happens he'll decide to fight Pacquiao when he's even more damaged, he's already not what he used to be. Styles like Pacquiao's decline quicker than Floyd's style.

Daniels Random Ass Channel Pacquiao went to extremes to even "cheat" his weight in fights in a sense that he was too light, so he'd put rocks in his pockets since in the weigh ins, no one would bother check the rocks. When i say "cheat" I mean in a sense to qualify for the fights because he really needed the money for the sake of survival. Still clean IMO since how do you gain weight when you're in a state in which you have a hard time even earning money to eat?

I am a fan of both, more so for Mayweather but I also love Pacquiao's style (maybe I am a bit bias but I generally use facts). Just thought I would correct you on some of your points:
1) Using Ring Magazine fighter of the year awards is very deceiving and seems like you're twisting it a bit to fit your agenda. Ring Magazines rankings at times are very very questionable. The equivalent to MVP in the NBA is more so the BWAA fighter of the year in which they have both won 3 times. BWAA is generally more recognized seeing it is all the writers opinions instead of one independent magazine.
2) 8 weight divisions is insane, although, his 8th was at 150 as oppose to 154 where it should be at. Pacquiao has the edge here.
3)Using common opponents is also very deceiving as time and circumstance for each fight plays a BIG factor. For example, the Oscar fight, Oscar had to make 147, a weight he hadn't made in 10 years or so, he was being asked to make it in his mid 30s and had to be put on a drip post weigh-in. I also find it hard to believe Hatton was the same fighter after the Mayweather fight but thats subject to debate. Cotto had to make a catchweight vs Pacquiao whereas Mayweather fought him at 154, a weight he clearly isn't his best at. And for Mosley, you forgot to mention Mosley fought FMJ coming off a KO win from Margarito. He fought Pacquiao coming off a loss to FMJ and a draw to a B class fighter. Pacquiao was offered the Mosley fight before Floyd but declined it because Mosley didn't want to agree to a catchweight below 147 - so Floyd took the fight.( Fredie Roach is on record saying they didn't want the fight at 147).
4) It is worth taking in to account that both fighters have different styles, does one style make someone better than the other? It is amazing offense vs amazing defense. Pacquiao is more exciting but does that make him the better fighter?

I had floyd winning on a very thing margin if it were point based. I counted all shots for all rounds. If we add the dominance and deduct point for holding and refusing to engage. Manny won.
I actually watched the fight counting only for holding because after it happened a ton of people said what you did. I don't have the numbers anymore but it went something like 5ish holds per round total. That number is not particularly high at all by the way. 2 or so each round were incidental (southpaw vs ortho fighter just tie up a lot on accident). 2-3 a round were initiated by Mayweather but in almost every case he did not hold long enough to consider it excessive holding per incident. So amount of holding in the fight was average or less than average. The holding was not for particularly long periods and about half were the result of them getting tangled up. The holding argument does not hold up at all in this fight. Count it, be honest with which holds were actually holds and which were incidental. Then compare to ANY other fight. It was not excessive. There were times where pacman held too but to be fair it was less.
The running thing... Well some people see it as running and some don't. The thing is there is no such thing as "running" in the rules of boxing. The ref can't take a point for it since in pro boxing it's known as footwork not running. The ref can stop the fight if he sees the other guy is totally beat and not engaging because he is afraid to engage but that was not the case here. What happened here is manny is an aggressive fighter and mayweather is a counterpuncher. It was expected by EVERYONE going in that mayweather would stick and move and pacquiao would attack. So the ref had no reason to believe mayweather was "running" for his life. No point deductions should occur in this fight. It was not intentionally dirty and no rules were broken or excessively abused.

I watched the fight in Panama airport overnight. The commenters were retired boxers, and they, as well I thought Pacman won!! 1. Records can't be rigged. They're based on what transpires. But I get that you were trying to insinuate that Mayweather padded his record somehow. This is a fiction...Mayweather has taken worthy opponents repeatedly throughout his career...this is evidenced by how many legitimate world titles he's actually won.
2. This "contracts" argument is pretty indicative to me that you honestly don't know how this sport works. When it comes to boxing contracts...there's an "A" side and "B" side...the "A" side gets to dictate the terms and the "B" side must oblige. Every professional fighter has had to be the "B" side as some point. Floyd Mayweather Jr. earned the right to perennially be the "A" side by beating then Junior Middleweight World Champion, Oscar De La Hoya at his weight class. Floyd had to concede to a plethora of stipulations including having to wear 10 ounce gloves taking a smaller percentage of the returns and Oscar was afforded the right to pick the ring size and almost got to pick the brand of glove Floyd would use but fortunately that wasn't the case. Floyd was allowed to pick his brand of glove.......you see where I'm going with this? This is how boxing works!
3. Floyd has never forced any fighter to fight at a Catchweight...Every time he's fought at a Catchweight it's been generally because his opponent has either offered or requested it.
