Mr. Hochecker, thanks for your presentation skills which are second to none. Clear, concise and unambiguous. I am glad we have Hypermill also for turning (which I am in the process of learning) as well as post processors for our Okumas, although I also have to learn how to operate them physically.
I am a college student trying to crunch out a few codes for finals. This video helped me so much with understanding Okuma cycles and programs, as I knew nothing on how this code system worked until yesterday. I have actual faith I might pass. Thanks!
Can you get the conversational program on a desktop or a program simulator for Okuma on the desktop? I want to check programs in the office before I take the machine out of cycle on the shop floor. I hate stopping production to check a program.
Hey Ryan- one of application engineers can help you with this as this is offered, but I'd need your info first. You can e-mail info@hartwiginc.com and I'll get it over to one of our engineers.
Thank you for this video. I have been promoted to CNC Programmer at my company, and we just purchased 2 new Okuma LB3000EX-II machines. I've been screenshotting slides, for personal reference, to my documents file at work. I am unsure of the legality of anything past that, and I would like to create slides to post at the machines themselves, in order to help the operators. If I can be emailed that information, and what I would need to do, in order to not break any copyright laws, or any such thing, that would be great!
Please Help O.D. threading cycle. Is it possible to make it simple? I am used to using box threading cycles on fanuc controls. Can I do that on my OSPE-100L control?
I am new at Okuma lathe programing. So i am using some basic stuff from programing on a fanuc controller. I am getting and error on my safety block like when I try to run the program. I just purchase a used Okuma captain L370 MFG date 2001 with an OSP-E100L controller. Safety line has a G40 in it and it seems to not like that. Now I can not get past the safety line. Also I removed all the radius compensation out of the tool offset page.
And if i want make polygon can i use same cycle Like in this example: G90 G95 G50S1000 T080808 G0X650 Z5 M110 M146 M16 G0 X42 Z5 SB=1000 M13 G85 NAP1 D1 U0.2 W0.1 F0.1 NAP1 G81 G1 Z-10 G101 C300 C240 C180 C120 C60 C0 G80 G0X650 Z5 M12 M109 M30 Is there another cycle format for this type, becouse i get alarm on this format?
Typically, when going in the Z negative direction (ex. feeding from Z0 to Z-1), G42 is for turning and G41 is for boring. It's more complicated than that but that's the rule of thumb I use. If you're ever unsure, simulate or dry run the cut and watch the numbers to see if the X and Z values don't go far off from what you're expecting. As getting them wrong can cause an oversize or undersize of 0.1" or more!
@@HartwigInc Hi, Sr I am not a professional in this position , can you help me. Like new student with 62 years old and never do this. Working 11:00 pm to 7:00 am full time. Thanks
27:55 ...dont you a have machine status variable that you better could call up at this point to replace that X-.whatever , with maybe X-[#9494*2] ????? in this way you cant never goof, infact u loose cylce time if predrilled

hope you passed?
Even this is old but i learn alot for running this machine..
Hi Ricky. I think,In screen shot of 'using I& K to define arc centre' for g03 i,j are to be negative sign. Thank Jagan
35:21 .......so G40 cancels also the before called T010101 X and Z length comp, not even the noseradicompensation, right ?!
13:02 ...... the F value has 2 deltas ....does it set what i desire, the designatet feedrade for this cornerrounding ?!
Please send okuma book I need
How do you use M695/M694 to prevent shatter?

X is minor diameter
Z is length
D is depth of cut
U is finish
H is height difference between minor diameter and od

if anyone can help that would be awesome. Some weird nose radius alarm.
Hi sir threading cycle explain
And if i want make polygon can i use same cycle
Like in this example:
G90 G95 G50S1000
T080808
G0X650 Z5
M110
M146
M16
G0 X42 Z5 SB=1000 M13
G85 NAP1 D1 U0.2 W0.1 F0.1
NAP1 G81
G1 Z-10
G101 C300
C240
C180
C120
C60
C0
G80
G0X650 Z5
M12
M109
M30
Is there another cycle format for this type, becouse i get alarm on this format?
You can't use SB=XXXXM13 and M110 with G81 and G85. You have to use other cycle.
43:30 Why there is G42 command instead of G41? In that boring operation tool is on left side of programmed contour
Все верно, тоже заметил эту ошибку
Good job. Thanks
Can I use only t0101 call out if I program with out nose radius compensation?
yes
@@kuei1215 Thanks.
hi Ricky, for boring cycle I think we should use G41 instead of 42, right?
