My father worked at the retirement home Larry lived in at the end of his life. I had my picture taken with him back in 1972. One Day I will never forget.
I've Always Loved The Three Stooges, Since the Early1960,s I Wish I could've met Anyone of the Original Stooges, They were Great. I miss the days when I would get home from school back in 1973. I was in 4th grade. I couldn't wait to get home and watch the 3 Stooges at 4pm. It was a daily ritual. Im in my 60s now and when I want to relive those days and lift myself up from being in a sad day I pop in one of my blu-rays of the Stooges and watch all the shorts on the disk. And what is funny now, I got my nieces and nephews into watching them and appreciating the humor. They're in their mid 20s now. When they were younger, I told them that all their movies were in black and white because humans back them didn't see in color and it wasn't invented until the mid 1960s. ;)
The Stooges were on an independent UHF channel when I was a kid. My dad turned it on when he got home from work, and me and my siblings became instant Stooge fans. My dad has passed, but I feel that he’s laughing with me whenever I watch the Stooges now.
I loved this interview with Nate. He told the Best Larry stories.😂 I would love to see more of these vintage interviews with family and friends of the Stoodges. I can see and feel that Nate really loved Larry so deeply.❤ So beautiful.😊
What warm memories yes the boys were a class act. Even when one would sustain an injury while filming they would keep going. Such a pleasure for us all to share time with curly's grandson. Its awesome how you keep their memory alive...
Thank you so much for this interview! I am 59 years old and still watch the stooges on Sunday mornings after I come home from church. ❤️❤️❤️. I loved hearing these stories.
I've seen this interview and I love it so much, so I'm so happy you shared this, Brad! I loved to hear some of the anecdotes that Mr. Budnick told about his brother-in-law, Larry, especially the story about Pittsburgh, which is my hometown, as well as the rest of the stooges! Thank you so much! 🥰
What a wonderful story. I loved the Stooges. I never knew Larry was such a kind bloke. Legends! It was my schtick to wait for 3 pm weekly on some Detroit station I cannae remember for i hour of the stooges. For me it was Curly, I could take Shemp but I couldn't take Curly Joe.
Have lived in Hawaii for over 60 years. I absolutely loved the 3 stooges. Don Ho Was one of the most loved entertainers in Hawaii. And to find out that he interacted with the 3 stooges. It's so awesome. I can't even explain it. R I p Don Mo larry curley ❤ Tiny bubbles in the wine make me feel happy, make me feel fine.😊 Aloha
Thank you so much for sharing!! I have been having a real depressing day, needing to find a new doctor that is capable of dealing with all my medical issues, and not succeeding. Saw this post on UA-cam while I was searching (I am a loyal fan of Stooge Talk on Thursday nites), and I said to myself, stop, take a break, and listen to his stories; maybe it will help calm you down and maybe get a giggle or two, so I did. I'm feeling better...granted, my problems are still here, but beause of you my stress has released a bit, and I can focus better. I also see the 3 hours of Curly posted, and that's where I'm heading now. Am an insomiac, it's midnight here in Massachusetts, and my hubby, son and daughter-in-law are sleeping soundly. So, to the film, to the film, to the film, film, film!!! 🎭 🎬 📽 Thank you all for keeping the Stooges alive in our hearts! ❤❤❤
Has anyone ever listened to the Tom Bergeron interview about Larry, and Moe. Larry was just a nice guy. I suggest everyone listen to it. I'll tell you, they were quality stars that were just normal people, except famous. 100 years now since the stooges started, that's longevity!!!
Oh yeah! Back in the early seventies, my brother and I always used to watch the Three Stooges in the late afternoon. I believe they were the best comedian team for thier time. The Marx Brothers couldn't hold a candle to the Stooges. Neither could Oliver and Hardy nor could Abbott and Costello. The Three Stooges were the greatest of all of them. Thanks for uploading.
This one got to me. Almost like having Larry. Looks like I poked a good nest with mt question, who was their prop master and sound man. The Howards and Fines raised some good people.
The sounds bring it all together. I love saying this. Who in modern history is more popular than the 3 Stooges in comedy? Easy. Nobody is. The interview online Moe thinks they will live on. He was right about that. Other comedians come and go but the Stooges are in a different class. Historically. I love these videos and want to learn any new Stooge fact. Beep beep beep.
I remember when I first got ‘into’ The Three Stooges. I was about fifteen years old, around 1984. Its when VCR’s became affordable and my parents purchased one. VHS video stores started opening up. The nearest one to us was two bus rides away, about thirty minutes. I would use my newspaper route money to rent The Three Stooges VHS tapes. Usually two or three at a time and twice-a-week trips. Of course I have the whole series on DVD now 😎
This was a good story I enjoyed listening to it a lot. That was funny how Larry was embarrassed on stage😂😂 hey you what do ya think you’re doing there?!
As a teen my friends neighbor was friends of Joan, Moes daughter. We lived in Chicago. At the time, moe was ill. We wrote to Joan and asked her to tell Moe we were big fans. To our surprise, Moe sent us a letter thanking us "morons" for being fans, and not to try any of their antics, as they were faked with rubber props and such. He died shortly after. I belive very soon after Larry who he mentioned in his letter that he would tell him about their fans in Chicago. The stooges are my go to whenever im down. God bless those imbeciles.
I met Lyla at a convention in Philly early 90s...i believe Bud was there too. She was at the autograph table when Billy West (Ren &Stimpy/Stern Show) came in and running late wearing a rag tag Larry costume. He walked behind the table and was about to take his seat next to Lyla and as he did so in his best Larry voice said "Gimme a stogey and a whore(pronounced 'hoo-oar') and im ready to go!" Lyla shot him a look that wouldve taken his scalp wig off. I miss those shows.
This is priceless. It also confirms what I had suspected, that Larry was the coolest Stooge irl. Curly was the most talented and Moe was also pretty cool. But Larry had the heart.
One of the funnest 3 stooges story, the video is floating around youtube. Moe is on the Mike Douglas talk show. Moe is showing Mike Douglas how to throw a cream pie at a person which was a famous bit for the stooges. Of course in 3 stooges fashion Moe starts chasing Mike D.with a pie which was the closing moments of the show. Here was the set up, Moe's wife was in the audience front row and knew the plan was for Mike to duck and for her to be hit by the pie. The bit worked perfect however, the show ended and the viewing audience had no ideal this was a planned set up, they thought this poor lady was hit with the pie which also landed on her beautiful dress. The show got flooded with calls and letters in protest from viewers outraged by this insensitive act. This caused the show producers to have a return visit of Moe, with his wife to explain it was just good clean fun.
I AM NOT SURE I UNDERSTAND THE STORY OF THE PITTSBURGH PIRATES VERSUS THE PHILADELPHIA PHILLIES. LARRY WAS BORN AND RAISED IN PHILADELPHIA, PENNSYLVANIA. THAT'S MY TAKE.
Great stories, I can just picture Larry bs'ing the trooper. He had to set up a lot of 3 Stooges scene. I was always one of those types that watched the interplay, and could see that for however simple it was it was essential and had to be on time.
He couldnt have been a three stooges soundman very long hes obviously much younger than Larry..Cause Larry would be 122 years old if he were alive today..
I wrote to Larry in 1972 and he returned me an autographed photo and letter. I have it in a frame ...NOT FOR SALE 😊😊
My father worked at the retirement home Larry lived in at the end of his life. I had my picture taken with him back in 1972. One Day I will never forget.
That’s so awesome!
Larry signed an autograph for me there when I was 14, in 1974.
Very cool

I'm 42 and the three stooges rock. This is nothing but a clean, fun comedy. Nowadays you have to use foul language to be funny
The Stooges are an American treasure
I could just hear Moe saying "They are all buried treasure now". Then Moe would knock him one. "UMMMHHMMP"!
Yes. Indeed they are. 🇺🇸🥳
I heartily concur !!

That state trooper story was absolutely hilarious

Loved it! RIP Larry and Nate.
Larry was the bridge between Curly or Shemp's goofyness and Moe's bossyness. He was funny with some sense of normalcy. Loved Larry.
Well said and well put !
This was wonderful! What a lovely man Larry was! And all of the Stooges! I hope they know how loved they are today with fans worldwide!
This one got to me. Almost like having Larry. Looks like I poked a good nest with mt question, who was their prop master and sound man. The Howards and Fines raised some good people.

I’m loving this channel. ❤️
Nate Budnick ! What a perfect name for part of the 3 Stooges. I'm hearing Curly saying "Ohhhwwww it's Nate Budnick, a wise guy huh?"
Loved how Moe called him "Porcupine"!
Great story teller . Thank you .😂
He sort of resembles Mel Torme
Such interesting stories as I grew up watching the boys.

Where is the Netflix or prime series about their life and imprint on comedy. Cmon Hollywood
It would be nice to know when this interview took place and the years he's talking about.
I thought Joe Henrie was the Stooges' sound man?
I thought he was…(?)According to the documentary I saw years ago…(?)
Great stories, I can just picture Larry bs'ing the trooper. He had to set up a lot of 3 Stooges scene. I was always one of those types that watched the interplay, and could see that for however simple it was it was essential and had to be on time.
Not bad ⚡️

When was this recorded ?
What Stooge is the best? On the count of three ☝️✌️🤟
Larry had a brother-in-law?
His sister Lyla's Husband
