Today, i discovered something beautiful... somethin Special.. K-Pop! I've heard it be hyped up but i thought it was a trend but im actually thoroughly impressed! I reacted to SEVENTEEN for the FIRST TIME and i might just binge watch more later today tbh. Tell me what songs i should react to next? Their company PLEDIS is acquired by HYBE. Hybe was in debt of 200 billion from a bank because they desperately bought Pledis because of SEVENTEEN. They saw them rising to fame and either wanted their hands on that money (SVT is the BEST SELLING KPOP GROUP in terms of Physical Album in the whole Kpop industry. They're like the monster of Kpop when it comes to Physical Album sales) or they see SVT as a threat. Either way, Pledis still functions independently of Hybe so SVT is still under Pledis.
(edit: Wanna add that Hybe was already able to pay that debt just recently this year probably by using most of the money they got from milking SVT's fans, considering how SVT sold 16 million from album sales alone, the first ever in the whole Kpop industry, in just a year (2023). Plus all the sold-out Stadium Tours, plus all the sold-out merch Hybe has been releasing under SVT's name)
- This is SEVENTEEN's HIPHOP Unit (1 out of three units they have: HipHop Unit, Performance Unit, and Vocal Unit). SVT has had 13 members since debut days up until now, still intact, they've got super STRONG bonds.....and HHU is just 4 out of 13.
- They have very FIRE and DIVERSE discography. Unlike other K-pop groups, they do not stick to one concept/genre because they do whatever they want and don't follow trends.
- Their main producer is one of their members, WOOZI (member of Vocal Unit). He composes 99% of their songs.
- HipHop Unit (this unit you are reacting to) writes their own lyrics, it has been like that since pre-debut days. Sometimes they produce the song too but with the help of Woozi.
- The titles they are branded and known for:

(another edit: Personally, I don't like it when SEVENTEEN gets associated with bts considering how unagreeable most of their fans are. I've only seen the toxic side of their fandom and I don't want my boys getting associated with such toxicity. You can't blame me coz I really only can count a few fans from that fandom who weren't shxxtting on svt, and most of these non-toxic fans are fans of both groups, too. But yeah, some members are friends and that's alright.)

No BTS has nothing to do with Seventeen success. BTS and SVT have a lot of parallels from their beginnings, being self produced hands on, loyal fanbase, and rise to success. They're friends. Seventeen were very successful prior to their company being acquired by HYBE. Seventeen were the reason for HYBE acquiring their company. This is just one of the 3 units from the whole of Seventeen. They have a very diverse catalog and each unit which are hip-hop, vocal, and performance, has a different energy to them compared to whole group songs

LALALI = 날라리 (nalali) in Korean which is kind of like a delinquent or someone who rebels!
also the second member who shows up, when you asked if he had to split his money 13 ways, seventeen has 13 members so he has to split his money 13 ways from when they first debuted!!

Seventeen weren't from hybe when they debuted in 2015 the reason they were acquired by HYBE in 2020 is cuz they were already successful just like bts they've also come from a small company PLEDIS and btw this is just a unit song not the whole group

Seventeen has 13 members this is just one unit -Hip Hop unit that has 4 members. When he said in song ‘spit money on thirteen’ its bcs when SEVENTEEN debuted everyone said to them they would never make it with 13 members and that its imposible to have a group with 13 members. And him sayin it in song is like, we spit our money on 13 members but we still are rich bcs SEVENTEEN is such a huge group.
-also when he said in song “i spit on your microphone” when you reverse SPIT it becomes TIPS so, altho a lot of people hate on them it still benefits them ✨

Yeah svt❤ to answer your quest. Svt is almost 10 year group and they biuld they fandom and recivied a lot of awards before they were under Hybe 🙃 ofc being under Hybe helps promo group but I think they were already very popular before 🙃like they sold out a lot of arena/stadium concerts in their carier so idk if you can do that when people dont like your music 🙃

I know you dont mean it that way but i hate how people attribute Seventeen's success to Hybe and BTS when they have nothing to do with it, and were already a top 3 boygroup when Hybe went into debt to buy them literally 2 years after debut the media was talking about the power trio EBS (EXO BTS Seventeen) im so tired of people trying to rewrite history

People love to try and take away their accomplishments just because they're under Hybe now and it gets really old and frustrating!
