The 6th one wouldn't work in versions 1.16 or above. 1.16 has added mobs called "piglins" that you can "barter" with using gold ingots. Piglins are humanoid entites which spawn in crimson forests (nether biome) and bastion remnants. (structure) 1.16 also added Nether Gold Ore and nether wood. The player can collect some nether wood, craft them into planks then a crafting table, also get enough golden nuggets from the gold ores, and craft them into gold ingots(9 nuggets for 1 ingot). Piglins can give the player fire charges, iron nuggets, gravel, soul speed iron boots, string, crying obsidian, obsidian, etc... If the player gets a fire charge, they can use it ro re-light the portal. If the player gets gravel and repeat-mines it, they might get a flint. They can use iron nuggets to craft an iron ingot (9 nuggets required for 1 ingot) and flint to craft a flint and steel, and re-light the portal.

You could also craft a fire charge by killing a Wither Skeleton for coal, Ghast for gunpowder, and a Blaze for blaze powder.
Keep in mind that the friend needs to know this info. If he doesn't then that's just tough luck.

It was actually data overflow exception that occured on the server. See after placing the observer also the machine was not working which means the server is trying to render it but can't do it as the blocks are connected to non existing blocks so server got stuck in a loop. And yes now 32 blocks in each direction from the machine is now a banned area anyone coming close to it will get banned. For more details see how chunk banning machines work
