Hopping on the standing foot just before passing, especially when changing direction of the ball, makes the one touch pass a lot easier to do.
One touch passing should also be practiced with the outside of the foot, but is harder to do.

Any one touch session should begin with foot control practice with the ankle held firmly in the dorsi - flexed position. It should be done at first in a sitting position, then standing. It should take 6 or 7 minutes, maybe shorter, or longer with younger players. You cannot make a reliable one touch pass with the inside of the foot without this foot control.

I take it the player who passes the ball follow his pass, otherwise he'll just be standing there doing nothing after his ball has been passed?
