Same lenght exhaust manifold and it sounds like any other 4 banger. Got nothing to do with reliability.
I'm fact n/a subaru's will give most cars a run for their money when it comes to reliability. And if you buy a turbo scooby just swop out the stock pistons for some decent pistons and you will have a reliable car.
And if you tune it reliability is like any tuned car and how you look after it.
Yes it hugely does sound like a 12a that's running a little fat... It's weird how rotoryISH it sounds.
@@omgwtflmaololrotfl2368 absolutely. It's all in how well the job is done that portrays reliability when it comes to something like a H pattern/boxer. Because yes the line up tolerance and seating is difficult on the block, and hence why gaskets are the main problem. But once done right, the forces are smooth and weight is low so it performs well and good design
I work on Subaru’s, the only thing Subaru on the car left is taillights and doors. 😂

edit: before anyone calls me a hater, I want to clarify that I am in fact not hating. This appears to be a very well built car and I give it props.
I don’t see any any understeer except for the 5:18 mark but looks intentional because of the flag and the car in front.

@Jémarc yeah could do , lots of power stock i wouldn't worry about a turbo , if you put even 100hp in a 65 - 70kg chassis and get it to huck up...on a track like brands hatch a p1 wouldn't stand a chance..

I had super kart in mind the whole time 😆 +200hp in one of them would make some serious g force grins lol they do 130 mph with 60 hp..id pay to ride something that fast for a few mins...my fastest vehicle so far is a vfr750 as passenger and 180mph in my friends bmw m5 .
So i hear the Civic Type R and Golf R makes the stock STi seem not so amazing anymore, time for Subaru to just start selling exact copies of this car as their new STi ?
@C_dubbz _ Actually no, the STI's aren't easy to tune. A golf gti can easily handle 350-400 whp on just a stock block with bolt ons and a tune. This means a bigger turbo, injectors, fmic and an ECU/DSG tune. The EJ in an STI will blow up at 350 whp without a built block with stronger pistons, connecting rods, studs and bearings + everything the gti needs + an aftermarket clutch. You'll already have spent at least double what you did to get a GTI to 400, getting an STI to 350whp. It's really a terrible platform to try to squeeze power out of.
Next STI is going to be based from the 2.4 turbo.

first set was Advan RS, second set was Volk/Ray CE28's I believe

The first wheels @0:20 is Volk Racing ZE40. The wheels @0:29 is Volk Racing CE28, probably CE28SL. If you consider these wheels for an 06-07 STI, keep in mind that this particular car is a fair bit more wider than a stock body STI or WRX.
