String theory just does not convince me. It seems that it has many interesting ideas, but it also seems to have many problems. In the first place, ST is not a theory, it is a "framework", as an ST experpert said in this same series of videos. In second place, space and time in ST are continous, but if energy and particles are quantizied, it is more natural that space and time be also quantized. The presenter said that space itself could be quantizied, but made no reference about time. Third, it is obvious that supersimetric particles have not been found, so experimention is saying to us that the gravity follows a different set of paradigms different to the particles of the standard model, and new and different approaches are needed. When the difference in scale factors is 10 to the 22nd power, space may be approximated by particles as being in a continous spacetime, but t is obvious that at the planck scale this approach fails completely, and that you must use models proposed for example by quantum loop gravity.
WSU/WSF is my nr:1 source on UA-cam for learning about science. Nice to see a fellow county member giving a lecture!
You would like World Science Festival too .

Thank you so much for this upload❗
