This storyline is so emotionally deep. Jennifer and Vanessa is doing outstanding work . It’s so mix with vulnerability, acceptance, growth and intimacy connection. It also attacking the major issue we facing today which is racism. It’s astonishing many can’t see beyond Vanessa complexion to enjoy it. To each his own I absolutely love it.

Listen to their scenes without watching them and you will fully understand the connection these two have. How they speak to each other is very respectful and I would argue intimate in tone. Also, Bette’s tone is VERY different with her. It’s like borderline reverence, care and respect.

Seriously, Bette has always been my favorite out of the bunch--and yes, I recognize the disastrous traits she had been exhibiting, but my gosh, this is a totally new Bette we're seeing here. The openness & vulnerability with Pippa.

That's kind of childish he's mix I don't understand why she has to bring out either side when she was with Tina I looked at her as a mixed person now that she's with Peppa she still a mix of woman of black-and-white descent I don't feel like it make someone more black or not black when they're mixed race and they decide to go with a white person or a black person that you always be a person of color
@@lacecocoa6272 yes she mixed but on that therapy scene with Angie it got clear that she identify as black. So that what Bette is saying. And Jennifer Beals said she just accept coming back if they would tell that story (of her being black, her struggling personally with racism through her daughter being darker skinned, her standing up for Black Lives Matter and having a black love).
Bette is different with her. I would not be surprised to learn that Jennifer has/had a hand in how this story line plays out. Some will get what I’m saying/implying…most won’t…and that’s cool. I like them together!
I agree with all of this. It’s pissing off the Tebette fans because Pippa was tailored to appeal to pretty much all of Bette’s interests and desires. If they decide to end (because certain fans are putting the pressure for a Bette and Tina endgame #boring) it I hope it’s amicable. Pippa deserves that respect.
@@bogusbogus8052 I think they were done filming before the first episode dropped and that’s why Tibette fans are a total mess now because they can’t influence Season 2 storyline. This is why if Bette and Pippa end up being together at the end of episode 10, we have to put pressure on the show runner and writers to keep them together. You already know half Tibette fans are threatening to stop watching the show.
@@FLSunshine561 they are? Well they can kick rocks then. “Tibette” is not only boring but unhealthy…toxic. They go through the same BS every time. I get that having the child may influence wanting to stay together as a family but Angie is pretty much grown now. I think Bette is still tethered to Tina because of that and maybe because she is holding on to the guilt of cheating. Which I think is silly because they both cheated on each other and points during their relationship. With Pippa she can start something new and exciting. Bette may have chased her for her work but when she actually met her in person I think she was thrown off her game by how Pippa “handled” her. Bette is used to people being thirsty for her and her attention. The way Pippa broke the personal interest ice with saying Bette is beautiful was so smooth. It was very matter of fact. So much so it didn’t feel like a come on. But it did plant a seed in Bette’s mind and that’s when all the heat 🔥 started. Bette was the first one to initiate physical contact and not in a business like manner. I love their storyline and I wish we could get more screen time with them and less of trashy Finley and Sophie 😒.

I truly love them together! I have nothing against Tina, but she can’t handle Bette like Pippa. She’s weak. She allows Bette to bulldoze right through her. Bette is a force majeure. It takes a deeply rooted and strong woman to handle her. It takes someone who can withstand the strong winds and calm her. Pippa does that for her and she does it for Pippa because she reveres her. Bette loves Tina, but she doesn’t respect her.. not the way that she does Pippa. That’s the reason she and Gigi didn’t work out. Bette needs someone who won’t allow her to push them around, and Pippa is that person.
Bette stepping up to Pippa and laying her head on her shoulder, while Pippa received the gesture, but still remains upright is such a beautiful acting choice by the two actors. It’s a physical display of the characters’ relationship dynamic. I’ve never seen Bette so submissive. It’s beautiful. She’s finally found someone whom she can lean on without fear of them buckling under her weight.
If there is a second season, I do hope the writers explore that dynamic more. It would be an evolution into the depths of Bette Porter. It would make for great TV.

I just hope they don't send Bette back to Tina. Just feels like Pippa's purpose is to help Bette, she will become a better person and deal with her underlying issues but will go back to Tina. It happens in real life. We tend to mold, inspire and help the person then they leave you for who they really want to be with. I don't know but i don't want to see Pippa cry and hurt. Bette and Tina ain't worth all that bs, word. Carrie crying because she's insecure of Bette was hearbreaking and real. Bette could have reassured her and been nicer.
If they are using a black woman to help another grow and love again just to send her back to a white woman the show (creator, producers and writers) are telling the black community they don’t give a damn about us. Yes, black women are considered ‘strong’, but we ain’t that damn strong. Where is our representation on the show? Bette is biracial and it don’t matter how many times she says she’s black she’s white passing and damn near all Tibette fans see her as a white woman. Sophie is Afro-Latino, but we only get to see her latina side. They killed Kitt off and got rid of Shane’s wife. So, again where is our representation? Pippa is it and she’s 🔥🔥🔥 lighting up our tv screens with her sun-kissed skin dripping with melanin and honey in every scene. She brings a breath of fresh air to the show. Pippa is unlike any character we’ve seen on the OG LW and GenQ. The fact folks are saying she’s Jodi 2.0, is a freakin’ insult. She’s better than Jodi and Tibette fans know it. Have you noticed Bette’s had a ‘power struggle’ for top with everyone in sex scenes since Tina except for Pippa. Our girl is tough on the outside, but submissive to Bette when it comes to love making. Anyway, if they make Pippa disappear (new opportunity overseas or in another state) in order to open the door for Tibette in season 3, I’m going to be pissed.
When I think of Bette and Tina)s relationship verbal abuse, physical abuse (domestic violence), racist undertones, sexual assault, cheating and lying all comes to mind. Bette should have been done with Tina when she taunted taking Angie away from her and she had no legal or biological binding to the baby. The last straw should have been when Tina failed to show up to Kitt’s funeral. I don’t give a damn what she was going through she should have been there, especially for Angie.
Another thing is Tina walked out on Bette and Angie just like Bette’s mother did. The show has failed to show us how that has impacted Bette. Do they really want us to believe Bette is still in love with Tina after she walked out, but Bette hasn’t spoken to her mother in 30 years for walking out on her and Melvin🤔🙄
I think LWGQ struck gold bringing Vanessa on as Pippa. If there is a Season 3, I hope she will return as a main cast member.

I do not like how Hollywood portrays black women in relationships.
L Word generation Q has the opportunity to show a black woman (specifically dark skin) in a healthy loving relationship because Hollywood never makes us have a happy ending. They don’t realize the stigma they are establishing and how it affects us in real life because most people are easily influenced by what they see on tv. This equates to black women not being worthy enough to settle down with.

I think Bette’s mommy issues are really beginning to show this season and why she is very vulnerable with Pippa. Pippa has given Bette the right energy at a time when she needed it the most. That’s why she likes mature women who already have kids. She maybe yearning for a nurturer to fill that void and could explain why she wanted Tina to be a stay at home mom in the OG series.
On a side note, I wish they would bring back Helena show support for Bette and right the wrong she did when she pulled the CAC funding in the old series. This would be a big win for Bette and one that Pippa would benefit from. I also not sure if Gigi and Dani are a match. Something is not balanced. Gigi triggers Dani’s aggressive side and it’s not a good way to start a relationship. I think Helena could be a decent match for Gigi wants someone to take care of and I believe Helena would be down for that.
I also think Carmen is owed a big apology. Shave did her dirty in old season. I would mind if they brought her back.
I'm not feeling Gigi and Dani either. They are cute together, but...
I said when they mentioned Helena returning that I thought they would be a great pair.
S3 should definitely address Maxine.
If Helena ever come back, They can continue with Tina from where they left it, if Carrie doesn’t marry her, they were great together.

Honestly I don't really like the reboot because I think they should have brought back all the old geez I'm still upset that the show killed Dana because she was the perfect person for Alice. I don't think that Bette and Tina should be together their relationship is too toxic and Tina allowed bet to run all over her. I also believe that bet and Peppa have a good chemistry it is really really good actually like it the chemistry cuz I think that matters that's why I can't get into season 1 of the reboot because like if you have no chemistry just doesn't make sense. I’m late but who cares I keep hearing people say Bette and Tina’s relationship was toxic. What relationship is perfect couples go through worst shit than Bette and Tina everyday. And still stay together. The way I see it is Tina needs to grow up and Bette needs to deal with her personal issues.
