People are assuming everything was just going to work when converted over, yet they're forgetting that valve is technically making a new game so that means they'll have to go through almost each and every skin, map, weapon, util, ect all over again 10x over

My Karambit Fade looks super dark 80% of the time because of the lighting and shadows covering half the map. It only looks good in the light.
the whole point of the visual remake of cs2 is to make everything look brighter and more colorful. if the skins look washed out compared to the visual upgrade we had with the rest, i don't think it's intentional tbh.

There is no real black anymore like on old TVs. That's killing the contrast.
They cant make a lot of changes to the skins till CSGO is still out. Once CSGO is gone, we will get updates that will do major fixes to these skins.
Also, did they change the rare animation % on the falchion knife? it feels every 1/4 pull is the rare animation now
I have a field tested USP whiteout and it looks quite terrible on CS:GO. But it looks more like a minimal wear/well-worn condition on CS2.
Minimal wear is better than field tested but well worn is worse, so then how in CS2 it is Better and worse at the same time?

Any other falchion knife users in here? Because i swear to god the rare inspect has been updated in CS2 because now i get the rare inspect like once every 5-6 tries. I'm not mad just wondering if anyone else had noticed and also i hope they don't "fix" this because i like it much better than cs:go where the chance was like 1/101 tries

It seems like people are not ready to move on from csgo yet. If something is the same people say its too much like csgo, if something is different they say it was better in csgo. This goes for audio, game mechanics, and graphics

high saturation skins look good in the realistic, dirty, n darker maps of csgo. they just blend in the environment of cs2
The M4A1-S FN or MW Hyper Beast is also ruined in CS2.
my UMP is all messed up now, luckily not expensive. its the moonrise with a star on the back. cs2 the pattern is so far off you cant see the star anymore. the skyline is like on the top half of the gun

i just think a lot of the skins are too reflective wich makes all the doppler and ak case hardened skins look even worse in low light than they did in csgo.
The lighting is brighter in cs2 so the skins are gonna look brighter and more exposed. Less contrast.

I think there is a huge difference between fixing a skin because it is glitchy, lighting, or pattern isn't correct and people just wanting Valve to magically make their skins look better because they wasted way too much money on it. Everyone already expected that certain skins would rise in value, it should have been expected that some would also drop in value. the biggest example is the case harden, I really would be interested to know the float of that blue gem, if it is bs. then it should look like that. if it's fn, it should still look like that... lol. maybe I'm just hating on Case Harden a little too much. honestly the CS2 case harden looks a lot more realistic than CSGO. I think the darkness is correct if they could get rid of the satin/matte finish for a gloss but keep the darkness it would look realistic and not as bad. but I really hope they don't make it look like the csgo version just because the guys that bought it for 5k keep bitching. I think this would start a horrible trend where everyone started bitching about their skins just because they want more monetary value out of their skins.

As much as I am a skins enjoyer, CS at its fundamental function is to be a great FPS. That is the priority. The value that the community has put on skins isnt Valves doing as isnt seen as a game breaking feature. Skins are without a doubt a part of the SA culture BUT its not fundamental for the success of the competitive aspect which CS is built on.
the game is overall WAY too bright and that's also what makes the skins look washed. I hope they adjust the lighting soon

Actually, the whole game looks comic/Valorant-like with a blur effect to every material which makes everything look washed-out. But what annoys me the most are the huge number of old weapon models used with pattern-based skins which could easily be ported to the new model (as some of them were already, e.g. USP purple DDPAT). Makes no sense to me and Valve should fix this.
You can change the setting to make it look way better. On my settings it isnt blurry and the lightning looks really nice-, also the worse graphics you have the more blurry it will look
All painting style skins look terrible in CS2, the color looks washed out.

Skins in CS2 look horrible for the most part. Anything that has dark colors looks like trash. If you compare with CS:GO, it’s really clear. Just screenshot an inspection from each game and youll see. They added too much luminance to colors so blacks are grey, etc. They tried to make it brighter, but instead of using lighting, they just increased luminance instead. Everything is washed out and it’s not close. Also, weapons and gloves are too close to the screen and shoved down to the bottom. I cant even inspect the shoulder butt on weapons. Stickers are all messed up as well. They don’t line up the same way on the weapon. What are they doing?
