"I won't let your deaths be meaningless even If I'm the last one standing." This is a quote from the second opening called Jiyuu no Tsubasa. I like to think this is how Eren remembers his comrades.
How many lines must we draw on a prison wall of all the incredible foreshadowing for an ending with Eren coming out as the tragic living victor in this manga. Just to know it, and witness it was flushed away?
I think that refers to Levi actually. He was always tormented by the deaths of his comrades, which he wanted to repay and to give a meaning to, and when Eren was killed and the world was saved he demonstrated to have kept his promise, at the cost of basically remaining the only soldier alive if we exclude the Alliance. That opening is the one of the Female Titan arc, where his squad gets introduced and also murdered, so this makes a lot of sense.
@@justinfever9787 could you enlighten me of other lines that you think were flushed away? Don't get me wrong, I just want to know and possibly explain them. The Akatsuki no Requiem ending still makes sense since Eren still killed 80% of the world, and the world being a completely flat blanket was his concept of freedom.
King Fritz being the big bad all along is actually a pretty sick idea. Erasing his vow of hatred from the world is a legitimate reason for the rumbling to start and reach its conclusion. Currently everyone is born from a tainted seed and to free this world they need to step aside and let new life grow from the pure soil of a new world. If I had to compare it to the Matrix, its like instead of rebooting the Matrix, The One actually ended the system and everyone connected to it.

Well it didn't destroy any characters. And it wasn't that lazily written. In the leaked interview Isayama himself said he was careless on his writing, and that's why this whole chapter felt off because well, he just never wrote like this before.
This ending is so much superior to the shit one we got. I hope true fans or better writers like you remake failed stories like attack on titan or shaman king to rewrite it into better stories that are much more satisfying and better and fit into their themes, like the Spider-Man ps4 game, the resident evil remakes, and the final fantasy 7 remake.

@@mondeepengti8733 well unless the finale was like animated already, they will most likely at LEAST change the ending a bit, since how fans took the manga ending
It was an alternate path of events where eren was testing the founding and screwed everything up. Also canon if you remember eren said the founder confused him with past present future being combined.
This...is beyond fucking perfect, you took Fritz's character and turned him into this entity which knew the story all along and added a new ability to the attack titan, that part was masterful.
We can pretend it's real. Isayma pretty much got the idea of his ending from looking at chats from fans so that ending was pretty much fan-made. And since this was his original plan it's pretty much cannon.
@@antiskeii2616 It for sure has its flaws. Throughout the video I kept asking myself how Fritz gained access to the paths or where him eren and ymir were and some lined were pretty cheesy and some even cringy but this ending just connects perfectly to the akatsuki no reqiuem video where eren is visiting his friends‘ graves on paradis. I consider this canon now lmao
"Eren, I swore to devote my heart to the resurrection of mankind. There is no greater glory than dying for that belief." Is such a great callback to Season 1 when Armin tried to convince that cowardly commander that Eren could be a greater ally than an enemy.
yeah but OMG it ended up as the worst enemy. I dont really know about some holes in plot that there can be about this ending, but correcting some things It is far better than thr original one. They didnt break eren's characters, neither make a naruto type ending and it felt like reading aot.

@@youmode562 If we assume Ymir created paths to fulfill King Fritz's mission in the first place, it wouldn't be farfetched to say he would be the one person who can reside there despite not being a descendant of Ymir. It could also just be a fabrication of Ymir herself, a manifestation of her slave mindset, so to say. Compared to the original ending, those flaws can be explained just as well, while being way more enertaining by itself.
@@Fabiocean2000 no man it would not... the paths were there for her alone because of her desire to be free from even death. He is not needed especially not in the last chapter... and if isayama ever did something like that.... that type of flaw couldn’t be explained because we are shown that those paths are only there for Ymir’s descendant and she answers to the royal bloodline because of their connection with the king but he can’t be there. @Jardel Edeza yeah, king fritz as the final boss seems like an epic ending because it closes the theme of oppressors reign coming to an end.....but it makes less sense, why would he have the walls built or even let eldians be oppressed then?
@@tannaikamath773 Edit: I found one comment that made Fritz's appearance a little more believable. It's likely that he's simply a hallucination made from Ymir's broken mind, the part of her trauma that instilled the belief that she will always be a slave and she can never escape from him even in death. Eren freed her of that terrible belief and thus, defeated "King Fritz". (Man, I wish that was the one Isayama put instead of making her "in love" with Fritz, what was the man thinking?)
@Jardel Edeza many things in canon version of ALL story does not make sense, it is a "fantasy", not realism-based story, just add another element as a twist and even the Fritz final boss would make sense
Holy SHIT this was fucking perfect. Eren feels so much like the Eren I used to know and the Devil Of All Earth part made me fucking scream. It manages to hold on to the themes of aot and still was able to introduce Fritz role for the end. Fritz having the exact opposite beliefs to Eren was genius. I always believed that the Attack Titan WAS Eren, thus why all the attack titans in history always fought and seeked out freedom. I also love how this handled the allience and I actually teared up at their deaths. And the fucking Armin parallel with Erwin was ingenious. @Jardel Edeza Exactly, I could accept the rest of the story even with the flaws. But Eren killing his friends makes no logical sense whatsoever. EREN ALWAYS PROTECTED THEM IN ANY WAY HE COULD. He always prioritized his friends over everyone.
@@TheRealGeorgeGibson You do know that since before Grisha got the attack titan, Eren Kruger saw Eren's memories and specifically told him to save Mikasa and Armin. They are his priority even before he was born. And you're trying to tell me he would kill them? Sasha and the rest died in consequence of his actions, not by him. And let's be honest, if he didn't do all of this they all would've been dead anyway. It's not like Marley and the rest of the world would've spared them. I can only say that his Mom died because of him but then again, without her death he wouldn't have become so motivated to kill titans. And without angry german kid Eren, Paradis would've been doomed anyway. This was the only way he could give Mikasa and Armin their freedom. He didn't really care about his followers and definitely not about Floch. The most hard hitting death to him during this war was Sasha. You could tell how that broke him. And she was just a good friend. Mikasa and Armin are much more than that. Even in the anime when he said he wanted his friends to live long lives, he looked at Mikasa. This is my opinion so don't take this personally.
The canon and this ending are both masterpiece and heart wrenching. Specially with those BGMs it made me think im reading an alternate ending for 139. Thank you for the efforts man. Im satisfied
Bruh literal chills went down my spine reading this. It's really pathetic of me to say this but I have read so many other remakes after 139 and every single one of them turned out to be better than the original. I looked up to Isayama so much and I still do respect him but how could he be so oblivious ? I don't have any major problems with the canon ending but there are too many flaws and unexplained things and plot convenience for Alliance to win. Also I wanted Eremika to be real but the way it was written feels superficial. Atleast he could have paced it better to make it believable. Shouldn't have left everything to the last chapter like Eren's POV , Ymir conclusion , Eren revealing he actually liked Mikasa etc. He should have shown all this way before and used the last chapter to just explain stuff. All these fan theories are so well thought out , even they have flaws but they don't rub the wrong way real chapter 139 did
He didn't do any other chapter after 139 even if he wanted to explain the controversial stuff because he planned it from beginning to have 139 chapters representing... 13 years of ymirs curse and 9 titan shifter...🔥

While I really like the idea of Fritz being the final boss...... It actually is not possible according to one of the most important rules related to Paths. Eren can only communicate with descendants of Ymir. Fritz here is NOT one of them so he shouldn't be able to talk to Eren at all. (He was literally the husband) Second problem..... Armin is somehow okay with all this insanity? Third problem, Eren literally said he won't take away any of their powers because they were "free". But here, he does the exact opposite. While it does maintain some aspects of Eren's character, it also contradicts the many others.
Not all Eldians are descendants of Ymir wtf are you talking about. Descendants of Ymir = royal bloodline. If everyone was hee descendant then everyone wouĺd have been able to use the Founder. No. Eren can talk to EVERY ELDIAN. They are the same race, the same genetics, but they are all distant blood relatives
@@valeriewinter6217Both Subjects of Ymir (Eldians) and the royal family descend from Ymir, wtf are you talking about? The royal family just has a more direct connection, king fritz can not be connected to paths whatsoever.
One way that can possibly be explained would be that the King also ate Ymir’s flesh after she died, and it somehow connects him to the path. It would be a bit forced since the whole manga never establishes that titan power can be transferred this way. But I find it less absurd than Ymirs 2000 Stockholm Syndrome

I like the role you gave to king Fritz, that actually made perfectly sense. Glad I'm not the only one who noticed that Isayama in chapter 139 portrayed him sitting on a throne with the Yggdrasil - the symbol of the Paths - engraved on it, that was never there during the flashback. What was he thinking while he drew that chapter? I wish I knew how it came to it. Anyway your ending is sure better than the one Isayama gave to the story, the effort you put in it is evident.
@@shin_a I think Yuma here made this choice mainly out of symbolic, allegorical reasons. And that symbolism was right there also in the original work although it was veeery, veeeery, veeeery subtle. There were many subtle hints in that flashback that indicated that he wasn't exactly just a normal man and that he was an allegory of something else. So, at least from a symbolic standpoint, that could've actually been a possible development of his character. But apparently Isayama lost his mind along with his balls, so. Whatever. From a narrative standpoint you could be right, but he was an Eldian after all, and being an Eldian equals with being a subject of Ymir. I can guess that when he died he ended up in the Paths like everybody else and in the Paths past, present and future coexist, so he could've schemed something there while everybody thought he was gone. Of course that's just guessing and it doesn't hold much narrative consistency. But for what is worth, nothing makes sense in AoT anymore. Anyway, I think Yuma could answer you better, I'm just guessing here.

Ye I guess you could explain this by Ymir forcibly bringing him. There or replace fritz with Karl fritz and have him want to destroy the eldian race while Eren wants to save it
@@bean181 It's not about the Eldian race, here, it's about... How to say it? The paradigm informing the world? At some point the theme of Aot started to revolve around the actual end of the world, the actual Ragnarok, and the birth of a new one. I was expecting the series to go the Evangelion route, but unfortunately in the end the topic was dropped along with many other themes. The Founding owners were regarded as gods, and the hallucigenia, the source of the titan powers, was deemed as the source of organic life itself. This means that its actual potential and powers were much more than what we were shown. Well, in this context, all the previous Founding owners represent a reactionary force that, despite the goals they may had, never questioned the very order of things, the very nature of the world (a world that we are repeatedly told and shown is cruel and with no room for true freedom in it), unlike Eren, and that's where his ideology would clash against the others. In this context the first Karl Fritz would make a perfect "final boss" and gatekeeper for Eren because we can assume that he's not only fine with the current state of the world but he wishes for the world to be like that, because he's a psychopath who believes that the ultimate goal in life lays in conquering and domineering everything, and living and multiplying just for the sake of it. He only knows and believes in power, cruelty, violence and war and reveres them because he sees them as means of selection of the strongest and for assuring the survival of the fittest. But a world based on these premises equals with a living hell for whoever is not a psychopath and a soulless beast. And that's why he treats Ymir with such contempt because he couldn't possibly understand her and sees her just as a weakling, and so a slave and a tool. Of course he doesn't want the destruction of his race, but in his ideal view they are meant to be just a cold war machine aimed at world domination. And that's exactly what made them to be hated and regarded as demons by the world in the first place. Eren opposes this view, but since he recognizes the legitimacy and truth in it regarding the nature of the world, he goes to the length of destroying the world itself along with all its life to change this paradigm. I think that would've made also the good ol' Fritz into a great character, and the possible seeds of this were just there, but unfortunately...
i continue to say this is the ending we all deserved and the ending we were expecting. you did a great job, considering you’re not an artist nor writer. truly gave me the chills, good job!!
Because most of these may possibly what really happening or implicating through all the easter egg in the original series except one part, that King Karl is actually an illusion impersonated by the Hallucigenia that infested on Ymir then later transfer to Eren for one specified goal, reproduce more of its subordinates through mankind bloodline due to it parasitic lifeform and in return it provide the power of titan to its host.

Chapter 133/- When Eren brings his friends to the paths, he adds "I have given you the free will to stop me, you can stop me by killing me or can go back" Chapter 135/- Someone confirms that The ancient titans are mindless titans and that's why the alliance are able to put up a fight against the titans Chapter 137/- When Zeke and Armin are stuck in paths, zeke says to Armin that eren has now become the new host for the parasite and that ymir was enslaved to king fritz but eren was the only one who understood her and made her accept death and move on. The paths is a place where death does not exist, when ymir died she didn't accept death and so she was sent to the paths. Zeke says that they cannot leave the paths but after Armin gives that speech to zeke they seem to escape the paths and the Levi kills zeke to stop the rumbling. Chapter 138/- Armin is able to get out of the paths with the past titans shifters helping Armin and tells everyone to move away from him so he can transform, everyone gets away and he transforms killing eren in the process, in the steam due to eren dying the parasite comes out badly injured and tries to survive but Armin grabs hold of him and due to the fire emitted by Armin it burns to death. Due to the parasite dying the curse is gone. Chapter 139/- Eren starts the conversation with Armin in the paths(same like og ch 139),eren saying that he wanted to make them the heroes to the world, Armin asks eren why didn't he commit to the full rumbling? Eren says that it would have cost him his friends lives and he couldn't make himself do that. While walking eren says that the reason ymir was bounded by king fritz for 2000 years because she was a slave to king fritz and that he was the chosen one to free her from that. Eren says he was the one to let out zeke and Armin from the paths because he wanted zeke and Armin to come together and make zeke realise the meaning to live. Eren also says that he was the one to bring back the past titan shifters and gave them the free will to either stop him or not. Eren says that he couldn't kill the parasite while being attached to it and that Armin had to kill eren first in order to bring out the parasite and kill it. Armin asks about what the Paradis island will do to their famalies when they are seen as traitors to eren. Eren says that he already has talked it out with historia to give them protection(Chapter 131) Eren says that this was the only path available where he was able to protect his friends, remove the curse and save Paradis. Eren then has a breakdown on the sea, in which he says that he dosent want to die and wants to be with his friends but cannot because he needs to die in order to save his friends and paradis. Eren apologizes to Armin and says that he will be the one to save humanity. Eren then says he will erase his memory and will be able to get it back after they have killed the parasite. We see that Eren had talked to Armin during the time at the boat. We see eren also talk to others using the paths. We then see Armin waking up and the curse has been removed and was able to get his memory back. When Armin had transformed to kill eren mikasa was able to connect with eren in the paths, Eren tells mikasa to forget about him and move on, they say their goodbyes and Mikasa says "See you later eren". We then see Armin being the one saying to the soldiers "I'm Armin Arlert and I am the one to kill Eren Yeager". Time skip/- The only difference is that mikasa is visiting the grave of eren everyday and then we see her wrapping the scarf around eren's grave and says that she will remember him always but will move on from him. End
...Bruh THAT IS PERFECT. The ending should have been that, it didn't need to be needlessly complicated. Heck, I would be fine with Eren dying because it seemed like a fitting price to pay and fulfilled the greatest tragedy in the story: The boy who sought freedom the most became a slave to the very idea of freedom, Mikasa and Eren letting each other go would have been more meaningful, Armin instead of "thanking" Eren for turning into a genocidal maniac, promises to resurrect what's left of humanity... all that stuff could have been possible. Which makes you wonder and stay up all night as to why the original ending ended that way when it could have been easily... that.
Please, someone convinces Mappa to made these changes when they animate Part 2,I'm begging!!!!!! P.S.:In addition with these changes,Eren should be the father of Historia's baby, the baby is Ymir Fritz's reencarnation and the EreHisu child's name should be Ymir Reiss-Yeager,Mikasa and Armin should be the aunt and uncle of Eren's daughter as part of their last promise to Eren that they will take care of his child alongside Historia, Mikasa should have stayed with the alliance and their goal of ressurrecting the others 80% of mankind instead of grieving towards Eren's death(I know grief isn't easy, but she, at least, should not grieving towards Eren for the rest of her life) and Mikasa in Eren's grave should be replaced by a scene of Mikasa and Armin talking with Eren's daughter!
BRO THIS IS ACTUALLY PERFECT. I don't know you are still here, but this FITS THE THEMES of the story perfectly and doesn't change up much, while mostly is just changed by dialogue. I think this is honestly an ending both yeagerists and alliance fans can get behind. When I read 138, Thats basically how I thought 139 would go on, but I guess not lol.
Thanks for your extremely hard effort it was a delight for as to watch it for free . Even if I tend to love darker endings like this I think that the whole point of aot story wouldn't end up with this meaning .
This actually puts Isayama to shame. Whoever did this ending should be a mangaka or at least write some novel or so. Just wow. I really loved every single thing about this ending.
This is pretty much Canon since this was the original ending. Isayama just picked and ending from fans it wasn't even his own all he did was draw if you ask me now is fan made since it will his ideal ending.

I really enjoyed it, I would give this an 8.5/10. I have problems with the pacing which can be all over the place at times. The Armin and Eren scene, while emotional is not how I would see Armin acting around the current Eren. Similar to how Armin thanking Eren for genocide came out of nowhere, Armin not even being mad at Eren made no sense (in my opinion). It would have been nice to see Armin argue his case against Eren, think of it as the final intellectual debate between the alliance and the yeagerists (alliance represented through Armin and the Yeagerists represented through Eren). Armin has disagreed with Eren's scheme ever since he told him, Armin would rather talk his problems out with Eren than fight. Addressing the main ideological motivations and giving service to Armin's main philosophical standpoint of not fighting but rather talking would have made this story a 9.5/10 for me. I believe it would have also allowed the audience to see more of Eren's POV and it shows how intelligent and how thought-out he really is. Great job none the less!
Well to address some of your complaints: Armin and Eren were talking in the paths for a long time, I just didn't really have the panels or the time to put it all in, yes the pacing is all the over the place, because I essentially had to export it on by one, my editing software would just brick itself every time I tried with more than one part. Armin wouldn't of agreed to Eren's way of thinking, but did he really have a choice? He didn't have any magical powers that Isayama gave him, he couldn't of stopped Eren realistically. In fact, they all should've died when attacking Eren to begin with, if Eren kept the mentality of "Get in my way, and I'll kill you." But they're his friends, as much as he wants to fight for freedom, he still has those feelings for them. I tried to show as much of that as possible, but it's pretty difficult when you have Isayama's mess of an ending to work with. If I could, I would rewrite everything from 137-139, there's plenty he could've changed to make the ending make more sense. I don't think Eren ever agreed with the Yeagerists mentality, especially Floch. He seemed to be on the outside constantly, working on his own and with Hisu. He was just using them to get to where he needed to be. Which is why Floch cried, and rambled the same lines he did when he spoke about Erwin in season 3. I was originally going to have Eren and Armin argue, but they have already fought twice and it would get repetitive. I could've done a lot more, sure but I'm not professional, just passionate about aot. Overall, I'm taking in every bit of constructive criticism I've gotten and I'm applying it to the extended ending I'm doing. I'm hoping I can apply it all to that. This is my first time doing sth like this so I appreciate the open minded mentality. Thank you.
" final debate between alliance and yeagerists " bruh . Each and every member of alliance has different views about the situation and Eren does not even share the same views as yeagerists. He was using them .
@@skandosh9025 That’s canon, this is a fan fic so the same logic doesn’t apply. That would be like saying “Eren is not the father” it’s true, but it has no relevance to the fan fic. Armin 100% represented the alliance core ideas and Eren is the leader of the Yeagerists. I think it would’ve worked.
@@bunfagam3021 Isayama tried to show that but I bet Alliance members dont even agree with each other . You know what , thats the fucked up part about this manga . He could have explored to much regarding this but instead made a fucking marvel avengers the manga version .
20:26 is amazing. It reminded me of the cover of this chapter where they run to that tree. Except some parts of it, I liked this alternate ending a lot. There are plot holes but it's mainly because of how the latest arc was handled.
@BlaZe Excalibur why should he care about any of them? the future of the island, the Eldians and future generations, the solution to the wheel of hatred, are of greater value, legitimate military goals are more important than military mates in real life
@@Sam-sv4yy Yeah, why should he care about anyone, really? He kills literally everyone in the world, even the ones HE said were the people he loved, the ones he cared about the most (including the ones who risked their lives for him before, over and over and over), and then he goes TO LIVE HIS LIFE, repenting for his sins, WITH HIS FAMILY. All for the sake of Paradis. Very fair! Eren became my hero after this new ending! Not only he kills everyone (except himself and his family, of course), but he turns his back on whom he has sworn to protect (Mikasa, for example. It seems that in the end he really really hated her, didn't he? He didn't even care to give her some kind of explanation. After all, he was in love with another woman... and Mikasa was just a clingy bore!). What a man! Wow, now he's a real character! After all, he became GOD, and ONLY HE KNOWS who deserves to continue living! Yes, this ending is PERFECT!
@@alcindomachado His "Friends" did want to kill him even if they knew that eren is doing all this to secure the future of his people. What am I talking about?? They did kill him in the canon.Specifically , Mikasa, his "Lover" was the one to deal the final blow. This goes on to show that they prioritised their version of saving the world(prevent mass genocide) than to save their friend Eren. This alternative ending did the same thing but it took Eren's side. Nobody said Eren is the hero of this story.AOT has been repeating this throughout the story that there is no hero. They are all fighting for Survival.
@@vortex8719 Well, I said he became my hero, not that he was the story's hero. I guess everyone is entitled to have different opinions. Mine is that Eren was trying to commit murder (worldwide mass murder, no less) and that murder (especially mass murder) is morally wrong and legally prohibited. So, no matter how good his intentions could be, he had to be stopped. However, even considering that we're talking about a fictional story, and in that realm genocide is not a hideous and unacceptable crime, from the beginning Eren said he wanted his friends to have long and happy lives. Krueger told Eren's father that breaking the cycle of hatred was the only way to save Mikasa and Armin, because Eren somehow sent him this message. Connie mentioned that Mikasa and Armin are the people that Eren loves the most. So, from the perspective of character development, it doesn't make much sense that he simply decides they have to die. I'm sorry if my opinion displeased you. I was just pointing out the fact that, being as powerful as a god, Eren could have spared them if he wanted, but he chose not to do it. What they would do once the rumbling was finished? Opposition to the new regime? Duh. I'm pointing out the fact that deciding that the whole world must die for Eldians to live is not as simple as who will be invited to a party and who will not. Also, that it doesn't go well the idea of whoever has the power protects only what is theirs without bothering to harm others. I really didn't like Ysaiama's end, almost everything in it disappointed me, but honestly, this rewritten ending was even worse. Just my two cents.
I need to clear what AOT teaching us. 1. happiness meaning move on and marry some one. 2. need to kill all for own happiness. 3. Need to kill by lover for satisfied some sh****t founder. 4. Character development meaning villain become hero and hero become villain. 5. Need to give extra benifit for favorite character if i am author. 6. For manga popularity need to show love of character.. after popularity kill them. Author need think that when he need money and popularity his reader do that. also this manga popular for EMA. he do hell with reader in the end because he get what he need. Well done isayama
The main issue with the original ending was how it suddenly strayed far from the main themes and concepts about Attack on Titan and unintentionally plunged the entire fandom into a shipping war--and ships was something no one really gave a shit about until 139 suddenly and conveniently brough it up. Most people watched AoT not because of which girl Eren liked, but because of the show as a whole. (And Levi.) It dealt with complicated and complex themes of slavery, discrimination, gray morality, the tragedy of war, etc., but most importantly, about freedom. AoT had executed those themes perfectly in a way most animes can't. But then to suddenly shift those complex and intriguing themes--to a cliche and unfitting romance story that's massively underwhelming compared to the ideas of the price of freedom or the cycle of vegeance that falls on children--in the final chapter no less--unintentionally plunged the fandom into a shipping war and what made the Attack on Titan story so great was left forgotten. Because a lot of people, not all, are currently busy squabbling on which ship should have sailed or sunk... To add: The worst thing about 139 (for me) was the Ymir-Fritz love story. All this time, I thought Ymir and Eren were fighting for the kind of freedom that's meant to free the Eldians from the discrimination and abuse they've become desentisized to. But then it turns out to Ymir was in "love" with Fritz, the whole aspect of what they're fighting for changes so drastically, and then the story again shifts from Eren being the "chosen one" to Mikasa... and well... Hence why people like this kind of fan endings, even imperfect, as long as it still reflects the themes of the actual Attack on Titan story, then you're damn right that there would be people who would prefer endings like this than the original one that frankly felt rushed and out of place.
My feeling exactly. I hate how the whole discussion around 139 devolved into ship wars. I wish ships and love wasn’t never hinted at in the story because that’s clearly not what it’s about. I feel like isayama was heavily rushed and couldn’t do all that he wanted. And after the leaks... I don’t even know anymore
Not a perfect ending by any means, but still far far better than the original one. I love seeing all these different fan versions of the ending of AoT!
@@bhawanasarkar4329 I don't know anymore, all I can think about is that I'll probably retire from anime soon because of the headache I've been getting from the annoying AOT anime war between Mappa and WIT fans.
Nice job with the fan ending. I really like the Fritz reveal if Isayama did that that would have been amazing. I personally do not think Eren would directly kill his squad mates maybe indirectly kill them like an ignorance is bliss type of deal but that just my opinion. Your ending is 9/10 good work!!
The official ending is not part of my canon, this is though. Creator was original up to the end, but decided to take the Game of Thrones root. Maybe because we didn’t deserve an ending that we want, but anyways. This is my canon ending for AOT.
This felt so much more in-line with the AoT universe I wanted to cry, had to remind myself this isn’t canon LMAO Edit- if it makes any triggered EreMika shippers feel any better; no shit this ending isn’t perfect, still plenty of issues could be brought up. Thing is, I’d still take it over the 139 we have. At least this ending doesn’t do as big of an ass pull and retcon multiple characters to oblivion, create 100 new plot holes and leave me unsatisfied. Does this ending leave me with questions/objections? Yes. I don’t really think *everyone* , especially Mikasa/armin had to die, given the context of their characters’ willingness to side with eren if he were to talk to them. I also don’t think everyone in the paths would have just accepted their fate like that, even after getting all the details from eren. Again, where does the source of all life(the hallucinogenea or whatever the fuk) go? Idk It’s just kinda crazy how with this ending(despite it having its own problems), I don’t feel like eren turns into *50% off @ Walmart Lelouch.* And this is an ending that was created pretty quickly, whereas the canonical 139 was supposedly on the writer’s mind for some time, yet here we are with a dead eren who apparently loved Mikasa so much that it’s sad, talk-no-jutsu armin, Reiner who played wreck-it Ralph with 20% of the eldians, Annie played doll house with the scouts(and would do that shit again) but became armin’s girlfriend(XDDD), gabi being besties with crippled levi, the source of all life goes *poof* along with the 2k year Titan curse (XD?), mikasa’s literal 1 chapter character development in 138 that gets undone in 139 as she becomes a shell of who she was (but not after walking 6 thousand miles across the ocean alone I guess lmao), nazi Germany recreated under dead eren, but also with the remaining 20% of the world that can and WILL be coming to destroy the rest of them, because the eldians are 100 whole ass years behind in technology. Remember? Or did you forget that so you could cope better with the lackluster ending, and kiss-ass? Like, you all wanna bitch about the fan-made endings and scream the canon ending is good but when you get hit with questions/statements you can’t answer, you pivot to some dumb shit that’s mostly just your head-canon speculations(example: “eren obviously always loved Mikasa, cuz he said he’d wrap the scarf around her again hehe xd”. Well shit bro if I went by that logic, a lotta characters should have been in love with each other this whole time huh. Sit down.
@BlaZe Excalibur I don't even ship EH lol. And well, I agree Eren caring about his friends more than Hisu part. It shouldn't be something to discuss about... What I meant was about fans thinking they understand the story better than the other.
@BlaZe Excalibur kinda crazy how the “EH shipper’s wet dream” is actually far more backed up by the story than the EM shippers literal last minute “I always loved Mikasa and don’t want her with another man even after I’m dead” ass pull. Huh.
I think no matter what anyone does there will never be a “perfect ending” 1. Because perfect writing isn’t a thing every piece of writing will always have flaws since writers aren’t perfect themselves and 2. In order to have the best most satisfactory ending you’d have to rewrite the rumbling arc entirely. Either way good job to this person, I really enjoyed seeing your vision of how AOT should have finished. Keep up the good work

@@youmode562 If we assume Ymir created paths to fulfill King Fritz's mission in the first place, it wouldn't be farfetched to say he would be the one person who can reside there despite not being a descendant of Ymir.

Eren freed her of that terrible belief and thus, defeated "King Fritz".

Why Did he kill his Friends?

Actually I think it’s good but it doesn’t make sense the king fritz was in paths since he was never a subject of Ymir

It doesn't matter if those soldiers came to defend their country. Of course she isn't gonna sympathize with enemies. They raided her hometown and she fought back. If you listen to what she said when she was boarding the zeppelin you can see how she still observes them as devils. And you can see she became a warrior candidate because she wanted to free her Eldians in the internment zones.
She vented her angers on the guard. All betrayals and losses were the reason why she was mad. As for Kayas situation she thought she was gonna do something to her. She's impulsive and doesn't think that much. And all these are nothing compared to what others did like Armin. She is a girl traumatized by war and isn't omniscient.

I would've been way more happier if he didn't say "thank you for being a mass murderer for our sake"
Since attack on titan contains many subtle nuances that are difficult to express in other languages, it would be quite difficult to translate it well. If I tried to force a translation, it would be something like "I swear I will never let your crime of becoming a mass murderer for us be in vain.
This is not Armin's approval of what Ellen did, but rather his appreciation of her feelings and concern for him.
Most of the international fans really believe that Armin said, "Thank you for being our mass murderer. This is sad for me as a Japanese.

Spoiler:
After Eren's death, the years passed..Mikasa ended up married to Jean and they had a son or daughter.
We can see an evolved world, with cars.
Later on Mikasa dies of age.
We are now in the 21th centeury, huge skyscrapers and..well the world we live in today. A war with Marley starts..Marley wins destroying their opponents country.
Now maybe even more 100 years have passed from the Victory of Marley.
Where we would once see the Great Walls and the distrects we remember, we would just see trees and nature.
The tree where Eren was buried has grown huge and a kid is shown running around the ex-city, we do not know who it is yet anyway.
This is all I could read. on chap.139.5.
Aot Ending
Changed but a closer ending to the original:-
Chapter 122/-
When Eren gives that speech to Ymir, she is able to be free from King fritz and accepts death and then just moves on, Due to ymir being gone she makes eren the new host for the parasite and the new founder for the paths, we see the host being attached to eren when zeke is holding on his head which means it accepted eren as its host.
Chapter 131/-
When Eren is talking in his head, he adds "if I do not do the rumbling I won't be able to protect and give long lives to my friends".
Chapter 133/-
When Eren brings his friends to the paths, he adds "I have given you the free will to stop me, you can stop me by killing me or can go back"
Chapter 135/-
Someone confirms that The ancient titans are mindless titans and that's why the alliance are able to put up a fight against the titans
Chapter 137/-
When Zeke and Armin are stuck in paths, zeke says to Armin that eren has now become the new host for the parasite and that ymir was enslaved to king fritz but eren was the only one who understood her and made her accept death and move on. The paths is a place where death does not exist, when ymir died she didn't accept death and so she was sent to the paths. Zeke says that they cannot leave the paths but after Armin gives that speech to zeke they seem to escape the paths and the Levi kills zeke to stop the rumbling.
Chapter 138/-
Armin is able to get out of the paths with the past titans shifters helping Armin and tells everyone to move away from him so he can transform, everyone gets away and he transforms killing eren in the process, in the steam due to eren dying the parasite comes out badly injured and tries to survive but Armin grabs hold of him and due to the fire emitted by Armin it burns to death. Due to the parasite dying the curse is gone.
Chapter 139/-
Eren starts the conversation with Armin in the paths(same like og ch 139),eren saying that he wanted to make them the heroes to the world, Armin asks eren why didn't he commit to the full rumbling?
Eren says that he already has talked it out with historia to give them protection(Chapter 131)
Eren says that this was the only path available where he was able to protect his friends, remove the curse and save Paradis.
Time skip/-
The only difference is that mikasa is visiting the grave of eren everyday and then we see her wrapping the scarf around eren's grave and says that she will remember him always but will move on from him.
End
...Bruh THAT IS PERFECT.
Which makes you wonder and stay up all night as to why the original ending ended that way when it could have been easily... that.
Yes, the Mikasa part especially moves me she finally gets to live free from Eren. I love to see independence for my female characters
That Mikasa ending is so goood omg

Well to address some of your complaints:
Armin and Eren were talking in the paths for a long time, I just didn't really have the panels or the time to put it all in, yes the pacing is all the over the place, because I essentially had to export it on by one, my editing software would just brick itself every time I tried with more than one part. Thank you.
@@Yumais I appreciate that you would be open to criticism, I look forward to seeing the extended version. Best of luck and have a good day.

@BlaZe Excalibur Yeah , it could be better but at least it's better than the shit we got

1. happiness meaning move on and marry some one.
2. need to kill all for own happiness.
(And Levi.)
It dealt with complicated and complex themes of slavery, discrimination, gray morality, the tragedy of war, etc., but most importantly, about freedom.
👏 That is correct. That's why I love this ending because it follows the theme of AOT.
Exactly. I adore how much this portrayed the original themes of aot
I guess it was true that ships ruin a show
My feeling exactly. I hate how the whole discussion around 139 devolved into ship wars. I wish ships and love wasn’t never hinted at in the story because that’s clearly not what it’s about. This felt so much more in-line with the AoT universe I wanted to cry, had to remind myself this isn’t canon LMAO
Edit- if it makes any triggered EreMika shippers feel any better; no shit this ending isn’t perfect, still plenty of issues could be brought up. This one is to me far better ending than original one, you've pulled out probably the best plot twist of the whole series. You've got pretty good sense of this story and imagination ofc. I hope Mappa animate this one... This ending truly magnificent ❤️
This is the ending that we deserve. Thank you for this.
Definitely did Eren's character justice.
Welp, what can i say. I ve watched it with tears, no doubt, you made a great job and beautifully portraited the ending you see with this video. Very well done, beautiful and heartbreaking!
But guys, with all due respect, i love Isayamas ending. I do believe it was rushed, but it is ended the way it should have. Eren was fighting all this time, for his friends, for them to see the future, to be free and he did it for them. He sacrificed himself for them. I believe thats the true way Eren would act, for Paradise and for his friends. Thats just my opinion, anyway, both this and Isayamas endings really teared me up. Thank you so much
It's so good for me to see people actually enjoying this ending even when they prefer the canon one. There is still hope for this fandom.
When the anime ends, I'll watch this later and imagine this is the real ending. What a masterpiece.
Day 2 of watching this. Still better than what we got
I didn’t really care about the alliance in the main story but in this video it made me sad that they accepted their deaths and had to say goodbye. Good job!
Seeing Gabi getting curshed is extremely satisfying 😌
Great choice of music.
