Honestly, I'll never forget the one day where I just randomly looked up "elevator" on UA-cam and found this video. Can't remember how old I was back then, but I was pretty young.
These elevators seem to each have a mind of their own. One has a non-working chime with the regular Otis chirp and the other has a working chime with the old Otis beep.
I remember, all those years ago, going beserk that I found an elevator on UA-cam that was in my area (West Mifflin, Pittsburgh). This was my first elevator video in said area.
That room you stayed in looks identical to the room I stayed in when I stayed at the Extended Stay America in Germantown, Maryland, but the only difference was that it was just 1 queen bed instead of 2. The hotel only had three floors and 1 Schindler elevator. I took a video of the elevator when I stayed there, but since lost the video :( This was back in 2008.
***** It was made during the year 1981 and discontinued during the year 1990. Elevonic 401 had either Lexan or Series 1 while Elevonic 411 had Lexan (the first ones did), Series 1, 2, 3, or 4. Elevonic 411M was the mod version of Elevonic 411, and it was discontinued in the year 2014, while it started in the year 1989. Otis currently uses Elevonic R for high rise installations and mods. Mods come with Series M2 while installations come in Series 2 and / or 4. The old Series 2 had begun in 1990 and discontinued in 2011, and remained discontinued until Otis had redesigned the Series 2 in 2013 to look a lot like what we claim it to be Series 7. Series 4 had begun in 2001 *(same year I was born)* and is the only Series that hasn't been discontinued once since then. Being that the Otis Gen2 had only been invented the year before, the first Gen2 could have used either Series 1, 2, or 3. It originally had been designed to have red illuminating buttons (standard Series 4) with a big box indicator showing red numbers. Some installations at the time (between 2001 and 2005) had square brailles next to the button. These were EXTREMELY posh! The second variation of Series 4, or the posh version, is the Green Series 4 (like Literally, green). It either came with buttons with rings that lit up in green or red, and it had the box indicator with the same matrix technology that the 80s Series 1's used and had green numbers instead of red. Some early *Otis Gen2 MRL traction elevators* used the posh Series 4. Regarding Series 4 mods, the only change is that Otis used arrow indicators instead of box, which looks very nice. It came in red, blue, green, and in very, very rare cases, white or amber. In 2013, Otis added a new design to Series 4 to make it look more unique, and looks just like the modern Series 2, except the panel is standard instead of projecting. Series 2 and 4 are the only Otis Series productions still available today on standard order; for custom order, you can literally get Series 1 and Otis will still say it hasn't fully been discontinued. Regarding today's mods, they use Series M-2, which is basically "Series 2 on modernizations". The posh type came in red or green, while the plain ones came in blue or white.
You're wrong, they still make Elevonic 411M (mod version of Elevonic 411), just the Elevonic 411 on new installations has discontinued in 2014, Elevonic 411M started in 1990 not 1989. Elevonic 401 is discontinued during the year 1989 not 1990. The RAREST high-rise model is Elevonic 101, it was made during 1979 and discontinued in around 1982. 101 Park Avenue Tower in NYC has Otis Elevonic 101 from 1982 according to this res.cloudinary.com/view-the-space/image/upload/sncv6cihg3zsazrkfmop.pdf and Thankgiving Tower in Downtown Dallas has Otis Elevonic 101 from around 1980 or 1981 and the tower was completed in 1982 according to this www.thanksgivingtower.com/building/ but sadly they have been modernized by Thyssenkrupp according to Thyssenkrupp's twitter website.
What's weird about Otis series 1 it have the floor chime that sounds like a computer. Then there is ThyssenKrupp that the floor passing chime sounds like a grocery store.
We had a elavater in the sutin club hotel and was fast 4 elavaters there were tow enclosed 2 glass but they were so fast they were GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
I cannot believe the comments on this video. How is everyone not like "who gives a fuck, it's an elevator?" Is there some sort of underground elevator obsession in America that I'm not aware of? Is being into elevators the new thing?
Hi there! I'm a new producer/artist trying to get some exposure for a few of my songs. I'd love to let you use the tracks for free in some of your videos. I'm just looking for credit. Get back to me if you want, you can listen to the tracks on my channel. If you like it I can send over the mp3. Thank you!
Honestly, I'll never forget the one day where I just randomly looked up "elevator" on UA-cam and found this video. Can't remember how old I was back then, but I was pretty young.
That makes me so happy. Glad you love my stuff
Those elevators bring back fond memories.
These elevators seem to each have a mind of their own. One has a non-working chime with the regular Otis chirp and the other has a working chime with the old Otis beep.
I remember this. This is the first video I ever saw when I found your channel.
That is awesome! Thanks for sticking around!
Not bad! They both have different chimes. These have great motors. And the rooms seem nice
I remember, all those years ago, going beserk that I found an elevator on UA-cam that was in my area (West Mifflin, Pittsburgh). This was my first elevator video in said area.

The OTIS elevonic 401 is the BEST OTIS elevator system that was made after the 1970s
Actually it was made after 1981.
