In a Video 6 months ago, all commenters throw the guilt on the homeless, not wanting to work, abusing drugs and how they dare to have a dog and a cat. Only very few people had a heart for the homeless. Now the government is blamed. You cannot mean the government since one month. These people are not there since some weeks. I am from Europe. We also have homeless, not so many.

I was visiting Chicago at Christmas from SoCal. I was HORRIFED that in this freezing city there still was homeless. I hate thinking about them being homeless in CALIFORNIA!! BUT CHICAGO??!!! I called the police a few times to tell them to go drive these people to shelters or they would freeze! This MAN is amazing!!! It's good to know there is someone so AWESOME there helping these people! 😥 💔
The bad thing about calling the police is that if they send one over that is a jerk, he might make the people move from where they are. Shelters only have so much capacity. They also have rules. If you aren't there by a certain time you don't get to go inside.

All most always chronic homelessness is due to addiction. Often, addiction is the real reason they refuse to use shelters. It’s sad and horrible, but that’s the truth. It’s very hard to fix a problem for someone who won’t help himself. The truth about chronic homelessness is complicated, frustrating, and at times, it feels hopeless. We need better mental health laws and accessible inpatient rehabilitation facilities.
I’m here watching and saying tht... I live in AZ and had a culture shock seeing “tent city” I have only seen on TV coming from the East Coast... to see this in Chicago I’m like no way! I have fam there and HATE visiting during winter and Fall as it’s Cold and freezing beyond measure... yo he is heaven sent they need shelter indoors! I even heard there is a Tent City in Toronto and I said how???? As far as America tho, the local government has to do better! Even to designate hotels or something is the shelters are full at a discounted rate for homeless.

One should never compare Jesus Christ to us,period! Lots of churches and people always have their eyes on the man at the pulpit. I myself help alot of people and volunteer at different settings but I am not one to look for praise because I know that God watches everything and knows our hearts. I am here to glorify God and not men. My most important thing in life is to have a beautiful relationship with God instead of going to church and not surrounding myself with hypocritical people. I was raised in church because my dad made us go but at 4 years old I realized that there was a lot of greed and hypocrisy! I can go on for months sharing stories after stories etc. As long as God knows my heart that's all that matters because if you are humble things will smoothly come to you. Thank you for reading.

Homeless tent area in Northampton MA burned down b/c of a propane space heater last week. Sent a few people to the hospital w/ burns and destroyed the few possessions some people had. Be careful.

I wanted to add my story. Some years back, I attended a church where the pastor was defending himself against people who claimed they saw him working a circular job. Instead of being proud of working, he founded it as an insult and spent Sunday Sermon defending himself.
Then, I was a young mother with two jobs. I never went back to that church again.

1 tank works 6-8 hrs on low. I have those heaters. On a cold day i can use 4 tanks. That wont last but 2 days. God bless him. Donate to this man.
The only thing I would add is a knife attached to the back of the inside of these tents. If one of these tents catch on fire in the front it's impossible to get out of it. I knife in the back is a lifesaver for anyone trapped inside. This man is my hero!!!!🙏🙏

I came to Chicago w my parents n 6siblings in 1993 I was 5yrs old.. Iam the youngest and after my mom died my dad became my enemy n I was homeless. It happens to normal ppl. My older siblings went there own ways. I didn't get a cut. Hope they don't find peace either

This is whats up. Me and my brother are homeless with our 2 hound dogs. But we stay in the woods. We are blessed though we have my s10 truck and my husqvarna chainsaw. We have to cut wood almost all day to last the night to stay warm. Also have an old double barrel shotgun so I can always shoot something to eat.
