Me: Wow, that's new one... It's better than giving bags... Can't know what's rarity star inside... The Xbox players: Oh man, ODST and Titanfall drop pad scene, I'm in! The Helldivers players: FOR THE SUPER EARTH!!!
Is there an early tell before the drop pods flash either yellow or rainbow on the ground floor? There is no audio cue difference as far as I can tell, and the 5 star and 6 star pods look the exact same in the atmosphere before impact.
Yep for now, it seems the only difference for pods midair is for the 4 star ver and more surrounding pods if it’s a 10 pull. They should’ve made the 6 star animation glow bright red/orange or have a rainbow effect spook like in the original Arknights
In Endfield 5-star is golden while 6-star is more reddish orange the moment the pod landed, it's hard to figure out if you get 6-star early or not In Endfield since the animation is different from OG Arknights. Edit: need to add there's a rainbow when you got 6-star
6-stars have a much higher base stats like with all other gacha games and have abilities that may be slightly stronger than your other rarities. But that is not to say the 4 stars or 5 stars are useless, a lot of them have their own purposes such as buffing, healing, activating inflictions or combo qtes, etc so their performance doesn't fall far behind. When the game releases, you can play who you like. :D
It follows the same system but with diff rates. 50% rateup for featured operator 0.8% 6 star drop chance per pull instead of Arknights' 2% 65 pity for soft pity instead of 50 pity in AK 120 pull rateup guarantee instead of 150 in AK if u don't get the rateup by then.
yeah they reduced it from 2% due to them having less characters than og ak, imagine if it was the same as og ak though there's literally no need to whale since you'll be pot 6'ing every 6 star
As an Arknights player, this is reminiscent of the predecessor. The gacha animation is light peeking through a duffel bag. 4 stars have a blue light similar to the falling pods here. 5 stars have a yellow light. 6 stars however have two lights, orange and yellow (same as 5 star yellow). If the light that peeks through orange, you know for sure it’s a 6 star. If it’s yellow, you won’t know it’s 5 or 6 until you open the bag fully. If it rainbows when you fully open, it’s a 6 star. Depending on how you see it whether you prefer to know you “lost” before the animation is finished or prefer to hope/believe/cope until animation is finished, there are places for both. I personally prefer that latter because it makes gacha experience more fun because you never know the 5 star could actually be a 6.
@shadowhadowed just for you, dude. Lots of Beta Tester got a problem about it, might as well Hg just fix it than let it be just because some of you says "it's fun". No it's not. They will fix the gacha system because it created controversy might as well the Animation, cuz nobody is buying that shi... It's a Pod, not a Bag anymore.
@ I might as well just know it's another loss than giving me false hope. Might as well just keep that "Yellow Bag Bug" thing in here too when there is a new falling Pod Animation for the 6 Star one... And THAT, is acceptable.
For Super Earth 😂

The 6 star pod in mid air have rainbow burst but really quick
Um, from the looks of things, it seems like all 3 rarity animations have that
wait i'm new to arknights. what's the difference between 5-star and 6-star characters?

@@sevenaugust thanks! but what's different about them game-wise? i assume 6-star characters are the strongest

it's like any other gacha game's rarities... highest star means higher stat, powerfull skills, etc
agreed, i'm just used to the "5-star" term being the highest rarity(SSR) so please excuse me for asking about it.
I’m going to order a pc just so I can get this game to run well and other games too
Does Endfield have same pull rates as AK?

They gotta fix that 6 Star falling pod colour cuz i always thought it's a 5 Star smh 🤦♂
Agreed, there's also seeing the rainbow effect and thinking there's a spook effect where it changes from a 5-star to a 6-star but nope.

@@davidm4171well I don't care, because all gacha game have own unique animations.
