Love having a piezo to blend in! Not for acoustic tones, just for an almost endless variety of tones!!! Well done NS!

Don't know what everyone else is looking at. To me this looks brilliant.
This tailpiece/tuner hardware opens up headless guitar design in a way that is desperately needed. Think about it - all you have to do at the head now is hold onto the ball end, so you can do any width, spacing, and radius nut or zero fret - plus you can add some slack to the bass strings for a softer ride/less volatile intonation. You can use any bridge design, from a rosewood arch top type to a Telecaster type. Multiscale changes instantly from an engineering/machining project to an easy build.
Basically the design in this video is a great step toward making headless guitars a real option for everyone. I just hope it propagates - whether NS Design guitars catch on, or they sell the hardware a la carte, or maybe license the design to others. Blue collar pro players NEED this.
I personally have been struggling with the conversion of my guitar rig down to a tiny, featherweight package that I can easily transport on my bicycle. I'm using a Boss GP-10 with a very hacked 80's Steinberger and GK pickup. If I could get my hands on this tailpiece everything would become instantly easy for me and I could build exactly what I want.

I love headless guitars and I guess Ned needs to do something distinct from the IP he lost control of when Gibson bought Steinberger Sound. However, I'm struggling to see the point of this. If you really want to use single ball strings there are lots of aftermarket units that allow the original Steinbergers to use either single or double ball strings. If you use single ball you will need an allen key - not a big deal - just keep a few in with your spare strings. And if you use double ball it's likely quicker to change a string than using this system.

This isn't an improvement over an existing Steinberger model, it was a prototype for a brand new guitar.

Gibson must have put a lid on NS design releasing guitars somehow. Can't explain why NS Design has not started guitar production yet...

The biggest flaw in his original guitar design were the R/S-Trems. Junk, that was at least easily levered out.

My take on this is, Ned is a brilliant designer/engineer, but this string-lock system is a lot of work for a guitar that isn't particularly good-looking or unique; beyond the way the strings are kept in tension. I mean, for being "gone" for 20 years, this guitar is very anti-climactic.

Ned es un genio, no se porque las headless no son el estandar de la industria, algun dia el mundo se dara cuenta.

I pulled the trigger on a zt3, that price dropped so hard I didnt look to see that the seller was in Russia, 0 transactions, 0 feedback and has been active only about a month. I heard from him after 5 or so days. Item still hasn't shipped.
