I have a question regarding arida pumice since pumice is Musculine Sing in abl. I thought arido not arida?
Oh that's a great question. The edition of "Love and Betrayal" I use glosses pumex as feminine, but says that it is usually masculine. My guess is that this is Catullus' signal that he will be playing with gender roles, but I don't know.
