Tony, Bill, Geezer and Ozzy. A collection of dudes from Birmingham, England who were ready to set the world on fire, and proved it with their music at every turn. No weak songs or lame lyrics here. Pure passion and power is on display, take a good look, and listen.
These 4 blokes from small towns in England completely changed the music world with the music they produced..inspired so many bands later on and basically created a genre of music..hard rock..heavy metal..stoner rock..groove metal..all spawned from this one band..been many similar acts since but there's one originator!🤘🤘🤘
I was 4 when this came out. At 14 1980, my Sabbath discovery was Heaven and Hell. I quickly got my hands on the OG stuff from garage sales and 2nd hand stores. Now I listen to something everyday from them, all eras, all solo stuff.
I first heard Black Sabbath in 1976. My best friend's older brother had all the good stuff, while we were listening to Kiss, he was into Black Sabbath, Jethro Tull, Rush, Kansas, Boston (we had it so good in the 70's). He had We Sold Our Souls For Rock And Roll (greatest hits double album). That first crash of thunder and the rain and that first note Tony hits on the song Black Sabbath, it scared the crap out of me, but I liked it. Needless to say I walked home alone in the dark 3 blocks scared of what I just heard. "Oh no no, please God help me." They are the Kings, Black Sabbath defines the genre.
A great debut album. It changed the face of rock and roll forever. The first time I saw Sabbath was 1978 in Philadelphia at the spectrum. With Van Halen opening. What a show!! This is a great album you should check out volume four as well
I bought the Greatest hits album "We Sold Our Soul For Rock and Roll" 1st, and then bought the individual albums after. The song Black Sabbath was on it and I had never heard anything like it! The 1st album is dark, but still has a lot of blues elements.
🤔off the Top', this is the most Heaviest song ever made', and I have been singing this ever since I was 5 years old and playing the drum part since I was 7.
Bought the vinyl, after hearing it at a friends house. This was different in 1970. Loved everything about it. Not everyone did, they took it way to serious. The lyrics, I mean. Especialy the older people. Dark music, they said. But come on, it's just music. I'm one of the older people now😅,and I still love it. I DON'T FEEL OLD 💪😉,know what I mean? Thanks man, nice one. Cheers 😁💪👍
YEAH, YOU NEED TO DO ( THE WARNING ) FOR SURE STILL, DEFINITELY BIZ! 😊THEY CHANGED ROCK BIZ, THINK ABOUT IT! 👍NOBODYYYYY WAS DOING THIS STYLE, IT WAS THEM COMING INTO 1970 💯 DEFINITELYYY IN THE TOP ( 50 ) ROCK ALBUMS OF ALL TIME!
I've got to add I will always be a fan of Sabbath with ozzy. But the two albums that they did with dio, mob rules, and heaven and hell. Those are both killer albums I don't know if you've done any reactions to those. But you should. With a wide range of musical genres. My hat's off to you my friend
I had this album as a teen. Mother hated it !! Not because of the music, she was pretty cool with that. She didn't like all the satanic/black magic type of themes. I think alot of teenagers are fascinate by black magic and explore checking it out (not practicing). Even Jimmy Page was interested in the occult around this time. I outgrew it quickly, however, this was a fun album.
🤣Evil Woman''''''''? yea don't fuss with that one yo', it's Lame and it's part of the reason why Ozzy grew disgruntled, he felt it was unworthy'''', and he had nothing to do with it''''.

Some of my earliest memories are of my Dad jamming Sabbath's first album. This song/album is seared into my brain... Til I die.
Man, you still need to play "Warning", Thanks for the great reaction.

This is one of my favorite tracks from the first album - the drum groove is so killer.

"A bit of finger/Sleeping village/Warning" will annihilate you Biz.
Do some songs from Master of Reality.
Dio was great , BUT Ozzy was the heart and soul of Sabbath , RAW hard hitting !
🤔simple Logic, "If you want out from us', Make your body to a corpse" 😶them simple words have lived inside me for almost 50 fukin years''''''''

🤔Evil Woman wasn't until 1978 or 1979, on the Ecstasy Album, and Ozzy was so out of it that he wasn't involved with it'.
