oh no! I'm not sure what happened, something with the hyperlink seems to have gone awry because it looked correct... but it's fixed now:) Thank you for letting me know!
Luckily I’ve been playing drums since I was a child so get the concept at least. I can play 2against 3 with my hands but applying it to piano is somewhat different. Love the approach in the lesson though. Thanks Robyn.
This is great. So clearly described. Working through this with you made me realise that I had actually incorporated it into a couple pieces which I wrote in the 90s 😅, but completely by feel. Not having any facility for writing notation meant that it could never have occurred to me that this is what I did.
This is a great explanation of this polyrhythm. Have you ever looked at Opening by Philip Glass? That piece is a great use of the 3 over 2 polyrhythm for sure.
How does 7 against 9 sound? Polyrhythms are really cool. When I first started, I could not play 2 against 3. With enough practice any polyrhythm can be played by feel.

This video is super helpful, thanks! I'm looking forward to practicing this rhythm. 😊
I'm so glad to hear that, Elissa! Have you started with the exercises?:)
@@pianowithrobyn Yes. It was tricky at first, but I'm starting to get the hang of it.
