    Should we brine? Heard brining is key and was planning on dry brining then following then recipe

    Yes, I will "butterfly" The turkey again this year, but this will be my first Traeger turkey and I know that it will be my best 👌

    Did you baste with anything? How can I make sure the skin is rendered like that? Is avocado a good spray for the skin?

      The initial rub down with cajun butter is sufficient! No need to baste or spray. Increasing the temp at the end helps to render the skin!

      Can I run 300 350 the whole cook with a smoke tube? Does the 225 just introduce smoke or is it a contributing factor to the skin render? Thanks. I’ve got 8 birds to do this year.
