  • We show our attempt at Goose egg incubation, the day we lost our Goose mom we tried to incubate her eggs, also we will tell you our mistakes and what went wrong! Plus we will update you on our Lonely Goose Guy! Is it so lonely?
    Make sure you subscribe to follow our daily lives in this farm!
    Hey to everyone!!
    We are two young adults, Despina 22 and Deivids 23 renovating an old farm house from 1817 in Latvia. Everything in and out of our house has been done by ourselves with no hired help. Soooo far everything is going great and there haven't been any incidents.
    DIY is going to apply to nearly everything in our house. Our budget is tight and that has made us appreciate every "ugly" part of this house and turn it into something new and beautiful.
    We give new life to things that others would throw away!
    In this journey we are not alone! We are starting up our little Farmily and part of it are
    3 Goats & 2 Baby Goats
    1 Mom Sheep & 2 Baby Sheep
    4 chickens
    1 Rooster
    and 1 Goose
    Oh yeah and my cat Ivi
    Despite our daily problems we are two young people full of joy and happiness, ready to start a new crazy chapter in our life. It wouldn't be fair to keep this fun for us!
    that's why we want YOU to be also part of our Farmily!!
    Hope you enjoy our video!
    We love our very supportive community!!
    Thank you so much for the support you are giving us. Every view, like, share, subscribe and financial support means a lot to us. Any support is extremely appreciated!

    There is very much involved with incubating eggs. There is also the rule of humidity according to the type of bird. All supplied by the momma setting. I had an incubator when my children were small. It was successful and my children learned a lot about development of chicks and the care. It is a good idea to candle eggs every so often to see what is happening.

    Hi I had a thought about the bacteria , have you ever had your water tested ! The water can be clean looking but still have a serious bacteria problem . Which later can make both of you very sick also . Bad water is not something you do not want to take chances with .

    Are you able to access Tee Spring from Latvia? A lot of US UA-camrs use this for their merch starting out. You only make a few dollars from each item but they take care of the ordering, manufacturing and shipping. If they sell well you can then get a Cricut machine and then put the transfers on the shirts yourself to make a bigger profit for yourself.

    Hi there. I've only recently discovered your channel and am really enjoying it. When I watched this I thought to myself it looked as if you washed all the eggs clean before putting them in your very cool home made incubator...If you did wash them I suspect strongly that that is where the bacteria set in. I know when I had chickens one of the things you must not do is wash eggs you want incubated, because it washes off their natural protective layer against bacteria.. if you didn't wash them and they just happened to be naturally clean. Then maybe the Hay was the origin of the bacteria. I hope you do try again. Keep up the good work😁

    • @DoBeDiff
      @DoBeDiff  3 роки тому +2

      I bet the eggs where either too much in the cold or the bacteria spread from the nest in one egg after the other. The thing with goose eggs you have to put them in water every other day as they need to moisture. So that's how the bacteria spread! I think, but we will try again soon 😁❤️

      @@DoBeDiff Sorry, but may want to google again about the water, as I am not seeing anywhere that you are supposed to dip eggs in water. They breathe through the pores in the shell. I do see mentions of humidity, so maybe also get a humidity sensor. But I do not think you are supposed to submerge goose eggs. Or any eggs lol.

    • @DoBeDiff
      @DoBeDiff  3 роки тому +2

      @@MissDoolally that was on most tutorials for goose egg incubation. We had humidity sensor and had a perfect humidity. But the water may be the reason they failed

    İf your goose girl was sitting on the eggs and the eggs were fertile so most probably the has started their incubation before. And when you lost the goose girl and left them there they become rotten. Dont use hey instead you can use wood chips. And next time use thermopole box for making incubator bcs they are easy to cut and can carry moisture and temperature better. My father used to made those incubator by using just a box for chickens and they worked perfect.
