I may not have made this obvious enough, but the "dirt" smell is in the far dry down and isn't loud or anything. It's subtle but if you catch the scent at the right time there's a definite earthy tinge that lingers on your nose when you smell it.
I haven't smelled so many colognes... So when I smelled this, I fucken loved it. I definitely recognised it wasn't unique or challenging but it's definitely pleasing and of a very decent quality and although "simple" it seems to have a transparent depth that didn't seem synthetic. I could definitely smell the coconut and I really enjoy it. I love it as a summer fragrance. I think its a great summer/ clubbing fragrance but it's so sweet I can see this working all year round with decent performance.
I feel like Le Beau is better for teenagers during spring cooler summer weather. While Le Beau Le Parfum is slightly more mature, but still more of a young adult fragrance. Also doesn't work as well during summer. Personally think it's a fall/spring fragrance, because it's pretty sweet and will give you a headache and nausea during hot summer weather or on a hot bus.
Totally disagree this is an excellent frag, its like popeye le male freisch mixed with Chanel's eau extreme, lasts forever and gets loads of compliments I dont get that dirt smell at all, brilliant frag.👌
I wont say your wrong about the dirt smell... I would say Its more earthy, the bergamott stays for me and in fact Its the element that gives it that earthy smell it lays behind the tonka the whole lifespan.. Not booring at all.. Its not that long lasting and Its a Great work scent, just let The bottle mature and you Will change your opinion i think
Your descriptions of these fragrances is so great! This helps us women choose something for our hubby's/any guy we buy for. 😉 So thanks! Also the dirt aspect of this is so intriguing! I've got to check that out!
I’m wondering how many of these “flankers” are just new releases. I feel like the companies really want to ride the success of the original fragrance by naming it as a flanker. I’m guessing Le Male red, cool, intense, EDP etc are next?
Exactly. Take versace pour homme, for example. VPH dylan blue and oud noir have absolutely nothing to do with the original. I have no idea why they're "flankers"
I agree completely - very much like the Kouros "flankers" that were nothing like Kouros; just using the bottle to borrow the popularity of the predecessor
Late reply Probably licensing. In the car world, its cheaper and easier to reuse a name of a car that hasnt been used in production for a long time (IE: ford maverick). Having to find a new name that hasnt been taken by some random company and then having to pay trademarks, licensing, etc fees gets expensive. So with perfumes, I'd assume its the same situation. If its Le Male Flame, Versace can't sue because its a Le Male even though it has the same Flame name.. That or they just really are super lazy lol
Great review buddy, I’m sold just by the bottle, love the combination of citrus & tonka notes that are appealing to me, really looking to try this one, thumbs up! 👍
Ash-man, I have been wearing one of those travel-size bottled Royal Crown Tabac Royal fragrances I won, and I am loving the scent and the positive vibe and attention I am getting from random strangers ! I almost feel royalty when wearing it ! Haha...
your reviews are very honest. most of the great perfumes reviewers on youtube are doing advertisement that mean they are paid to promote some perfumes then they exagerate on the quality of a product, and when you buy it , you are disappointed. keep up on giving you honnest fellings.
got this one for over 2 months now (not used yet) but got plenty samples to go for. Luckily when I noticed this new release my local perfume store had a 25% discount on most of the scents so got it for under 60euro for the 75ml.
I actually smell that "Dirt", earthy scent you mentioned..once dryed down on hand for couple hours i run my nose across hand and i get that dirt/earthy smell. Maybe the "amberwood" with coconut mix?
Hey, can you do a video on bottle sizes? Like do you always go for the big sizes, if so why? I'm getting to the point where I feel like it is way more practical to go for the 30-75ml bottles depending on the fragrance, since using up 100ml will take a long time, especially if you don't use the fragrance often or if you have a decent rotation. I'd like to know your mindset as a collector & reviewer on this topic.
@5:44 "I'M NOT TRYING TO* BUST* ON THIS FRAGRANCE" 🤣🤣 THAT WAS MY FAVORITE TERM TO USE IN HIGH SCHOOL. AWE, MAN...YOU SAYING THAT BROUGHT BACK MEMORIES 😄
For some reason I always trust the reviews here. What would you say is the best summer clubbing/night out fragrance. Perhaps a top 10? Here in Canada going into winter but in other places they are going into summer. Or just simply 1 or 2 of the best scents you would go with in terms of compliments without having to make a while video.
I think if you crossed Hollister’s SoCal & YSL’s La Nuit de L’homme, you would get this. As someone who despises (but still respects) Le Male, I really like this one. Cheers!
Thanks for the video, Ash. Was never really a fan of JPG fragrances...thanks for saving me more money. Coincidentally, I hella dig earthy fragrances, and would love to spray this one on just to see if I could detect that interesting sounding dirt accord in the far dry down. 💪👍
Never noticed how mush tonka is used till receantly & after trying a lot of different fragrances im not as excited about Versace Eros as i use to be , i think it was that opening that got me excited then the dry down is just tonka bean which im now kind of meh on
Appreciate your review as always. Smelt this in-store on release and the sales assistant was very enthusiastic about it but I wasn't. Meanwhile my folks are coming through the airport and have Issey Miyake Pulse Of The Night collected for me. Let's hope that's better. Keep up the great vids... Best Frag UA-camr going!
Definitely the most tacky bottle ever, at least it isn't an urn. The fragrance, perhaps the best flanker they've come up with for years. Do you think it seems like there are more notes then those listed?
@@GentsScents At this point, almost anything that projects for over 4 hours is almost a must buy for me as everything seems so weak. Unless Puig has changed it, the bottom of the JPG cans never used to have the batch code. That was printed on a label attached to the plastic cellophane wrap around the cans for some reason. It would be great if you mentioned the batch codes on new bottles, as the first batches are usually the strongest and the ones we should look for. Knowing the first month of production is helpful.
One serious drawback of the Le Male bottles, in my experience, is caused by the lack of a lid when your fragrance is packed in your luggage whilst traveling. On a recent trip overseas, I lost over half of a newly purchased bottle of Ultramale as it literally pumped out of the atomizer as my suitcase bumped and bounced its way through the usual airline checked luggage stuff. If I learned one thing from this situation, it was KEEP THE LITTLE PLASTIC ATOMIZER PROTECTION TAB. It will save a lot of frustration and money. On the plus side, my suitcase and toiletry bag smell REALLY nice. Silver linings and all that........
My bottle (2016 Essence Intense EDP) doesn't have the fig leaf, but otherwise the presentation is the same..., but from what I'm told, mines better juice👀🤷♂️🤔
Anyone ever use The Fragrance Counter ? They have this for $62/75 ml , with a 10 ml atomizer. Not saying I am going to buy it, just wondering about the site. They also have JPG's new Christmas one. Going to see if they sell samples. Just sampled Red Tobacco. Potent. Thanks for the review Ashton
I tried this one week ago , i didnt like it because it remind me of my ex who used to wear victoria's secret coconut pssion .. i feel coconut is to feminin for me
IMHO All the recent JPG are let downs. Too sweet, too teenagerish, too unoriginal. Le male and Fleur du male (I prefer the cologne version and NOT the edt) are still the best of the line. I am giving my bottle of Beau away.
That "Dirt" smell is the wasted coconut. Sounds like they got the "Coconut" essence from the coconut shell, not the coconut milk...that's why it degrades to that dirt-coconut smell.
Kinda wondering if the leaf doesn't draw MORE attention to the crotch. Kids be like, 'daddy, why is there a leaf there?' I be like, 'because it's autumn. No more questions.' 🍂🍂🍂 Lovin' the outdoor videos Ash. Natural light is where it's AT. ☀️

Get Loewe Solo Cedro! 👍👍
Thank you for reviewing this
Where did you purchase this fragrance? I don't trust the sites that are coming up and I can't find it in a store near me.
As a kid i liked my Tonka Truck, now i like tonka fragrances....have i come full circle?
all aboard the Tonka Train.
AND both had dirt in them? 😅

I love Tonka, but I want it for the bottle even more.
i received alot of compliments wearing le beau idk if i would purchase it again at full retail price but when it on discount absolutely
Totally disagree this is an excellent frag, its like popeye le male freisch mixed with Chanel's eau extreme, lasts forever and gets loads of compliments I dont get that dirt smell at all, brilliant frag.👌
ive had more compliments from girls while wearing this than any other.
How many hours does it last on your skin or shirt?
@@aimandanial4464 it last about 6-8 hours
Does this smell like any fragrance out there
Greetings from Poland! Keep up the great work!
I went to pick up a bottle of AVIATOR, but ended up buying LE BEAU; I freakin' luv it!!
You won me in the first minute: "Don´t open this with a can opener!" 🤣🤣🤣
Yeah, like people do that?😂
I know someone who did that 💀 i died 😭
Hallo!
I do love coconut,,, its weak..
I want stronger something full of coconut..
Advice me!
I love the outside reviews!

Would you rank it as a "summer" or "winter" fragrance?
Yes please, someone can tell this ?
@@RRRULLETTOOR I love this one, It's really sweet and smells like pina colada so I'd say summer!
for me definetly a winter one!
Neither . I recently bought it. And let me tell u... .for me its autumn/winter.
Dude, I like the change in environment. Keep doing reviews outside, it’s fantastic!
I love this fragrance
Hey Ashton, what do you do with perfume like le beau where it's just ok for you, how do you exhaust the full bottle? Do you gift it away?
Great review buddy, I’m sold just by the bottle, love the combination of citrus & tonka notes that are appealing to me, really looking to try this one, thumbs up! 👍
Keep filming outside also you always make the best fragrance breakdowns

The Le Male Essence bottle is one of the best i own. The bottle that is, i Agree about the angular design. I think it looks a bit mean, bit stabby
This frag is deceptive. You think its weak... But it really isn't. It lingers for hours.
I actually really like this one, have you tried Gaultier 2 great fragrance big on the vanilla? -Nik

Thank you for sharing great review
Is this similar to the version from 2013 with the clear bottle?
Ashton, where did you get it?
I really like George's videos and we have similar tastes but I think I'm going to go with you on this one.
@5:44 "I'M NOT TRYING TO* BUST* ON THIS FRAGRANCE" 🤣🤣

Nah it’s definitely tropical, sweet coconut heavy. Don’t really agree with your description here
Your review is pretty much what I was thinking, it's just in the middle and it gets lost in the shuffle. Btw, do a officail review of Ultra Male.
Solid review...as always!
Have you tried Kenzo Pour Homme Night? Basically it is a better version of the Le Beau.
Ashton your sarcasticness is great lol you keep it real bro great video bro your boy G FROM BROOKLYN
Was hoping to find George in comments lol. I still wanna try this one, i do like the bottle and the color of the juice
Great review and I enjoyed it and I'm gonna try it have a blessed day

I get Versace Eros vibe from this frag
Great video. I'm sure you saved alot of people money with this review. I personally never liked a JPG fragrance though.

I really like the bottle.
Anyone else find the dry down very similar to Salvatore Ferragamo Uomo?
Why didn't you mention the dirt in your latest video's on le beau?
Unsubbed due to your dishonesty.
Anyone ever use The Fragrance Counter ? They have this for $62/75 ml , with a 10 ml atomizer.
Not saying I am going to buy it, just wondering about the site.

I got that summertime, summertime fragrance
Now that's a jam
Have you checked Kenzo Homme Night? It's very close and way less expensive. But it doesn't have a shiny bulge :D
Can you review ATKINSON cologne?
Better than Ultramale and le male?

i get a whole lot of amberwood, and i don't like that, kind a sick of it
Well I'm here for the info not the view....no pun intended. Great take on this one. Thanks
I never got the dirt part of it with my sample.
It's super subtle and in the far dry down, it's not very noticeable
Where did I get your sample?
Much love and respect. The sound for this vid because your outside is terrible. It sounds like your battling just to be heard.
smells kind a like Byredo Bal D'Afrique in my opinion
🤔
Hey Could you do a four seasons for life collection... if you could only have one for each season for the rest of your life, what would they be?
generally like your stuff but your wrong about this fragrance , dirt what your kidding right , actually very nice !
No, it's there in the far dry down, just very subtle

I'm tired of Tonka, such a heavy note.
Ugh same. I rolled my eyes at once again the tonka.
That "Dirt" smell is the wasted coconut. Sounds like they got the "Coconut" essence from the coconut shell, not the coconut milk...that's why it degrades to that dirt-coconut smell.
You should start another channel called spiteful scents , take all the negative comments and add them into your reviews like the lair 😂
Dude I don't buy it cause that coconut note reminds me of Axe Excite😂
Bad?
This one stunk on me. I had to throw away my sample....😑
Alot of EDP's smell like dirt to me on my skin
3 notes and only one of them is really prominent? And in the drydown it starts to smell like dirt?? Dude that’s a hard pass for me 😂👎
You can rename you channel "outside Frag reviews with Ashton"..😉. Outside or inside you reviews are the best on the "Tube" as the kids would say..lol
The only Le male really worth having is the original.
People whine about weird stuff that dosen't matter 🤷♂️ like where you're filming or spraying a fragrance 🤣🤣 wackos.
