TBH This entire album is underrated as heck. it's a shame a large portion of the modern Oh Hellos fanbase aren't christians, only being exposed to it (ironically) by Soldier, Poet, King from Tik Tok... and thus a lot of them really hate the Christmas Album.
@@toasterofdoom9629 meh, I wouldn't entirely blame it on that. Christmas music doesn't have exclusively Christian appeal, even nowadays, and most of the fellow Christians I've introduced to The Oh Hellos seem to find them just okay at best. I agree the Christmas album is underrated, but I think it's mostly to do with the inherent underratedness of any Christmas music not regularly played on the radio or in Church tbh.
Im not quite the religious person but your music lets me push harder toward my goal, sometime when I am very sad i just listen to your music to let me cry tears of joy instead a tears of sorrow. Love you all. . . For anyone reading this, i hope you reach your dream and keep pushing harder toward your future. . . Life isnt there just to wait for your success, you have to do it yourself, be brave! Many success and challenges will be upon you until you meet your final Moments
I'm praying the Lord draws you to himself. My goodness, there's a neverending wellspring of love and joy in a relationship with Him!! This song is just a taste of that depth!!!
While shepherds watched their flocks by night All seated on the ground The angel of the Lord came down And glory shone around "Fear not, " said he, for mighty dread Had seized their troubled minds "Glad tidings of great joy I bring, To you and all mankind!" O tidings of comfort and joy, comfort and joy O tidings of comfort and joy "To you in David's town this day Is born of David's line The Savior, who is Christ the Lord, And this shall be the sign: The Heavenly Babe you there shall find To human view displayed And meanly wrapped in swathing bands And in a manger laid" O tidings of comfort and joy, comfort and joy O tidings of comfort and joy Noel! Noel! Noel! Noel! Born is the King of Israel! O come, let us adore Him! O come, let us adore Him, Christ the Lord! "All glory be to God on high, And to the earth be peace! Good will henceforth from God to man: Begin and never cease!"
Hot take: This is the single most underrated The Oh Hellos song. It deserves to be more recognized (and played in churches for Christmas services)
Yes
Amen! This one is my favorite as well. Even if it's not Christmas, I still listen to this. Wonderful song to worship along with.
My church plays this every year at Christmas! I introduced my dad to it and he got our praise band to play it :D

This stuff is amazing! Movement number two is my favorite!
While shepherds watched their flocks by night
All seated on the ground
The angel of the Lord came down
And glory shone around
"Fear not, " said he, for mighty dread
Had seized their troubled minds
"Glad tidings of great joy I bring,
To you and all mankind!"
O tidings of comfort and joy, comfort and joy
O tidings of comfort and joy
"To you in David's town this day
Is born of David's line
The Savior, who is Christ the Lord,
And this shall be the sign:
The Heavenly Babe you there shall find
To human view displayed
And meanly wrapped in swathing bands
And in a manger laid"
O tidings of comfort and joy, comfort and joy
O tidings of comfort and joy
Noel! Noel!
Noel! Noel!
Born is the King of Israel!
O come, let us adore Him!
O come, let us adore Him, Christ the Lord!
"All glory be to God on high,
And to the earth be peace!
Good will henceforth from God to man:
Begin and never cease!"
