    And that my friend is why I'll only have you work on my bike from now on. Honesty is more valuable today then money, especially when it comes to safety. Well done Sir. On a side note, we gotta discuss getting you heat/AC out in the garage !!!

      I have a wood-burning stove that I’ve been meaning to install out here for about five years. Unfortunately it’s packed away in another building buried by a bunch of other junk.

      @@amsoiladam We gotta get you a heatpump installed, that way you have heat and air conditioning. We just need room in the panel for a 60 amp and 30 amp 2 pole.

    Hi Adam great video I appreciate your hard work! I just went down to my local amsoil dealer to pick up oil so I can change the oil in my bike and he said there's problems with amsoil and for a long time now even before covid. I didn't know that, so he's no longer a dealer for them he switched to torco oil. Is there problems? I wanted to ask you because I think you would know a lot more than him. Thanks in advance have a great weekend!

      There are no problems that I am aware of. All product is in stock. The company is up and running like usual. I’ve heard there’s been a few shipping delays because the carriers are behind schedule but that has nothing to do with Amsoil it’s in the transportation industry.

    I'm guessing that the company that makes and sells the kit has test fitted their products on several motorcycles. It seems like they should offer directions and time estimates for various models with and without ABS etc. Also, the directions should include that ABS needs the special bleeding procedure.

    • @amsoiladam
      @amsoiladam  2 роки тому

      The kit didn’t even have any instructions with it at all. And Four a seasoned technician like myself there’s no big deal but if someone was a novice trying to do this at home it could be very challenging to understand

      @@amsoiladam Call up the company and ask them if they'd be willing to pay you a little if you made an installation video for them. Their kit has more value and would sell better if it had good instructions. All DIY and professionals like stuff that fits and installs nicely.

      @@amsoiladam The troubles you are describing, further illustrates the need. New handle bars are a fairly common modification. Do they want motorcycle people talking about how wonderful they are or how challenging they are?

    Great video!
    I worked for the Motor Company for 11yrs behind the parts counter. The Motor Company had made sure that one-way or the other you will need to purchase the software (not cheap) or bring the motorcycle back to the dealership. With the ABS braking system..you will need to hook it up to the Digital Technician or have the software to let the motorcycle know the system has been changed.
    Hopefully you have a local shop..not Harley, who has said software to help you out.
    Thank you again for all you do my friend!!
    Keep on keepin' on!!

    For every person Ive seen talking about how you need the dealer to use some special tool to bleed the brakes after changing the line, I see another person saying the ABS module is bypassed and wont take in air. Im about to change my bars this weekend and am worried about messing up my ABS if I introduce air. HELP!!!!!

    • @amsoiladam
      @amsoiladam  5 місяців тому

      I have never had any issue with it. But I’ve heard other people that have. One thing that I do is, I make sure not to turn the power onto the motorcycle at all while I’m bleeding the system that way if there’s air in the system, the computer never knows it.
