    Sir can you tell us how to configure home lab on ilo eveything

    • @gnancloudgarage
      @gnancloudgarage  День тому +1

      Hi Sir,
      Here's a revised reply that includes the requirements:
      Sure! Setting up a home lab using iLO (Integrated Lights-Out) is a great way to manage servers remotely. Here’s a general overview along with the basic requirements:
      Requirements:
      1. HP Server with iLO:
      Make sure you have a server equipped with iLO (e.g., HP ProLiant series).
      2. Network Connectivity:
      Your server should be connected to your home network, either via Ethernet or through a network switch.
      3. iLO License (Optional):
      While basic features are available for free, some advanced features require an iLO Advanced license.
      4. Operating System ISO:
      You’ll need the ISO file for the OS you want to install in your lab (e.g., Windows Server, Linux).
      5. Web Browser:
      Access to a web browser on a computer or mobile device to log in to the iLO interface.
      Setup Steps:
      1. Access iLO Interface:
      Connect to the iLO web interface using its IP address. This IP can be found via your router’s DHCP client list or from the server’s BIOS.
      2. Initial Setup:
      Log in with the default credentials (usually found on the server’s info tag) and change the password for security.
      3. Network Configuration:
      Assign a static IP address to the iLO for consistent access. Configure DNS settings if needed.
      4. Virtual Media and Remote Console:
      Use the virtual media feature to mount your OS ISO, and the remote console to manage the installation process just like you’re physically at the server.
      5. Firmware Updates:
      Make sure your iLO firmware is up to date for optimal performance and security.
      6. User Management:
      Set up additional user accounts if multiple people will be accessing the lab.

    Hi bro. i am getting MR Storage administrator and SR Storage administrator instead of the RAID configuration you see after clicking on the performance maintenance in intelligent provisioning. which one to choose?

    • @gnancloudgarage
      @gnancloudgarage  6 місяців тому +2

      Hi Bro,
      If you're aiming for RAID configuration specifically, you'll want to go with the MR Storage Administrator option.
      This will give you access to manage and configure RAID setups for your storage.
      SR Storage Administrator, on the other hand, focuses more on overall storage management tasks.
      So, for RAID configuration, stick with MR Storage Administrator.
      Hope this helps!

      @@gnancloudgaragethanks bro... U r right..i wanna do RAID 1 but the drives r listed under 2 JBOD. It's not letting me create RAID from here.. it says 0 unconfigured drives

    • @gnancloudgarage
      @gnancloudgarage  6 місяців тому +2

      @@MegaSaikrishnan Hi Bro,
      It sounds like drives are currently recognized as separate disks (JBOD) instead of being grouped for RAID 1.
      If the system is showing 0 unconfigured drives, it likely means they haven't been initialized for RAID yet.
      Try accessing our RAID controller settings or RAID management software to configure the drives into a RAID 1 array.
      We may need to initialize or format the drives within the RAID management interface before they can be used for RAID.
      Once configured, we should be able to create your RAID 1 setup.
