there's something about VDO's game-theory that makes him an evocative player. Granted, there's a skill that must be present when playing like him. If his player skill to be defensive and characters didn't have the defensive attributes, it would almost be a reckless strategy. His team is gonna get overpowered at times, especially when the opponent knows how to use their characters properly, but just pay attention to the decisions he makes. Yes, he has flashy combos and never backs down from top tier. You can really see his attitude and personality shining through. As he said it, he's been using this team for 20+ years and he aint backing down! Just watch how he will leverage (what is traditionally thought as) risky gameplay with his feast/famine aggressiveness; tho, he does it in a sly way that puts his opponent on some kind of psychological tilt. It's so unconventional for how MvC2 is generally played, and I believe his influence is partially responsible for the respect of non-top tiers. He gets respect from the best out there. His pressures and fearless trust in his ideas are innovative. I believe this is why it's such a pleasure to watch this man work his craft. And, when it's down to the final characters, it's almost like he's playing Hyper SFA2 while others are still playing Mahvel. JWong does the same thing. Super fascinating study
Playing to win is a skill in itself. It’s actually kinda hard to stick to the game plan to win because honestly it means not doing anything. There’s tons of situations where you have won and all you have to do is do nothing. I usually press and lose because of it.
VDO may have lost. However, I think he still wins. Almost every match I watch him play against these top tier teams his play style forces them to play run and gun. I can’t be mad at the other players for their use of team or play style. It’s all fair in Mahvel. I don’t have to like it either. I guess I just respect what VDO has accomplished with a mid tier team up against the odds. Ggs @tothelimit. @VDO you’re still da man 🫡
Yes. That is what matters most. All your practice, theory, development and tech boils down to winning and losing. So yes. The audience wants to see variations, but they are concerned with who wins
I wish there was a low tier bonus where If you win with a low teir team vs top teir, there's an embarrassing loss of 10 points. I don't think these matches work like that

That's like. Socialism.
Kinda scummy to have a top tier team clearly having the advantage against a mid tier team lol.
But VDO makes Rouge, Colossus and Ken high tier.
Fast plays look like DB-z gg
ohh yeah this game dont give you breaks like in between dead character with dbz , we love the fast pace 🔥
