Looks like it would be at home in a Pontiac Dealer's Showroom in 69!!.. BEAUTIFUL!
This is first time I watched (the series) of a car build and WOW! Even if I didn't like GTO's I would still find the job you did to be absolutely wonderful.
Thank you
The vent windows were used on the 68. This kit combines 68 and 69 parts. The cornering lamps were an option.
Perfect, thanks for the information.
Yep, exactly what I was gonna say. Extra parts for the parts box.
Gorgeous Interior!!
Im subscribed, and here for the 'Less talking...more building!'
Thanks for the sub. I do wonder if I'm talking too much.
awesome build! already looking forward to the next one!
Thanks. Stand by for the next one.
A great looking build. I love the GTO I'm building a 67 right now
Thank you and good luck
Love the detail
Thanks
Man do I enjoy your builds!!! It looks great
Thank you. I'm glad you like them.
Your skills blow me away! Amazing job.

It’s awesome..... great build & great job..... well done!!!!!
Thank you
I've been watching from the beginning of the build.. I really enjoyed it and appreciate you for sharing this with us. I was able to pick up a few tips along the way as well. Your build turned out fantastic.. Super nice job.👍
Glad you enjoyed it and found it helpful.
Great job on the build
Thanks
Wow super job, quite the steady hand, keep them coming please
Thanks. Will do.
Great job.
Thanks
The rear bumper fit just as well as the factory bumper on the full size car, so it looks great. Just like the real car...
The color is Carousel Red, not Orange, just to nit pick. :)
Chevy called it orange, Pontiac called it red. A common practice for GMon most B,P,O&C vehicles
Looks great
Thanks
Nice build.
Thanks
GTO looks great, just subbed and looking forward to more cool builds!!!!!
Thanks for the sub!
You are amazing I'm just getting back into building models I'm having a rough time with the paint but your models are phenomenal
Welcome back to the hobby. Painting is tricky but keep at it.
Very nice well done
Thanks
Great finish on the GTO! That was my first model I ever attempted. I never did finish that model... lol. I’ve built 100s since but never came back to that kit. Thanks for your hard work, James
Thank you
Gorgeous finish man, Love that orange. subbed. Cheers. 🍺
Thanks for the sub
The gto came out beautiful. I just started building mine last weekend. I’ve been looking for a 1970 gto judge for a while now with no luck. Except for some overpriced kits and the super stocker kit.
Ya, they are hard to find lately.
Nice!👊
Thanks
When you need to study for tomorrow's test but Scaled Down Customs just uploaded a new video
Nice
Thanks
The 'fuzzy fur' looks like embossing power? That is what I use, it works great.
Loved the build was always my favorite car was wondering why you didn’t detail the engine out more?
Thank you. Ya, that is on my list of next skills to incorporate. Right now I build mostly box stock and am really enjoying just doing that. And as I mostly build box stock, the competitions that I enter do not allow for additional detailing. We will see as I go along.
Enjoys this build...can you tell the 3 tamiya paints for the wood grain & application order?
TYIA ...cheers🍻
They are just the Tamiya black, brown and light brown. You can pretty much use any colors you want for the desired look. I usually start with the lightest and work to the darkest. Then go back to the lightest and repeat until I get the desired look I am after. Just play around with them until you get the look you want.
That’s beautiful! You do great work! Do you like Vallejo paint better than Tamiya?
Thank you. I prefer solvent based paints just because I know them and have a process in place. Vallejo is a good water based paint system. They both have their application strengths.
Turned out very nice!, enjoyed this video series.
That kit has always suffered with the stance unfortunately.
I found out if you glue your backing plates on backwards then you can cut the axles and adjust the stance a little. JK. I'm glad you enjoyed the videos.
Awesome build did mine just like that I had a lot of trouble with my axles ended up having to cut them and narrow them
Great build. I enjoy your work on the scale models. Question, I saw you used two different colors of Tamiya for the dashboard but couldn’t make out the colors. What were they, please? Also. I commend you on your steady hand painting. Wish mine were as steady! LOL
Ya, sorry. Sometimes I get into the work and forget to talk about the details. I used Tamiya Brown X-9 and then use a lighter brown which was Nato Brown FX-68 on top to give a little of the grain markings. I then top it off with the Tamiya clear yellow to blend everything in. I find the yellow gives it a nice finish. The reason I used those two browns is because they are different and they are the only browns I have. I have used black for the grain textures as well. Just play around with a few colors and see how it looks. I'm glad you enjoy the videos.
@@ScaledDownCustoms thanks for responding. I appreciate the info. Hadn’t seen that process before and was curious. You do great work. Look forward to your next vid. Keep calm and model on! 😎
The vent windows and side marker lights appeared on 1968 GTO , but were not on the 1969 GTO. Revell made a 1968 GTO and may have changed the molds and those items were left on the sprues.
Ah, that makes sense as you could build the 68 or the 69 and they included the other parts for the 68 in the kit.
The vent windows and the marker lights are to build it into a 68 gto. Did this kit come with a different rear bumper also?
Ahh, interesting. I will have to go look at the left over parts.
Nice build.
Thanks
