The trains on the original 7-Up Shockwave were both yellow, not blue and red, so that makes the colour scheme of the new train a nice nod to the original. Great vlog - thanks for the footage and review!
I’ll be honest, I couldn’t remember whether it was still 7-Up when the blue and red trains were introduced. That’s going back too far for my old brain 😄 Thanks so much for watching though Rob, much appreciated 👍🏻
Art Engineering did the little coaster for Legoland, image if they got Art Engineering to do a pre school dinosaur coaster for that derilict area at the back of the zoo, they could have a nice little pre school area there with an indoor soft area and a few pre school rides, it would really re vitalize that area.
The yellow train and the blue track look great. I agree with you Looping Group have done a great job at Drayton Manor it would have been a real shame to have lost the park. I can see them doing up the pirate area in the future and hopfully they wiill bring back the pirate dark ride and the medievel tow boat ride. Also i can see them improving the zoo and dinosaur area too. They are gradually going round the park improving everything. Are you planning on visiting any more Looping group parks, it might give us an idea as to what to expect in the future. They should include Pleasurewood Hills admission as part of the offering for passholders.
It’s great that the park remains for sure. I have quite a few childhood memories there and it would have been a shame for it to end up like American Adventure. If Pirates Adventure doesn’t come back in some form, the building definitely needs to be reused for another dark ride. It’s not great having it stand empty for the majority of the time. I am overdue a visit to Pleasurewood Hills, it’s one of the parks I usually visit during an east coast holiday. I’ll see if I can fit it in this year 😊

If I was in charge of the park I would put in a new family dark ride, either the return of pirate adventure, a dark ride in thomas land or a completely new one with a new area would be nice
I miss Pirate Adventure. Most of the ride system still exists in that building I believe but I don’t think it will make a return sadly. Something new in that building would be nice however!

Yeah the trains are comfortable, but not exactly pleasing to look at. Even just adding minimal theming would have helped. I had never noticed the supports being that darker blue either near Air Race. A real shame that it’s clearly not the start of any work 😟

I'm so pleased that Drayton Manor have turned a corner as prior to 2020 things were not looking great for them. The investment over the last few years has been fantastic - If only the same thing would happen at Blackpool Pleasure Beach 🙄.

I like the idea of making it sit down and lowering the height restriction to make it more accessible for younger guests but their choice of manufacturer for the trains is questionable. They look like so cheap.
Im not gonna like, The Wave does look awsome, cannot wait to see how different it rides to Shockwave with them sit down lap bar trains instead of the stand up over the shoulder restraint lap bars!
