I witnessed high end EF2 damage from the Portage, Michigan tornado a few weeks ago. The damage done in this Iowa tornado is far more severe. It takes EF3 + wind speeds to start debarking trees like that. I would not be surprised if the NWS survey team rates this a high end EF3 at a minimum. Regardless, my thoughts and prayers are with all of those who lost everything from this tragic event.
Nope, just that it has been checked. There is actually a standard FEMA marking for buildings/cars/ etc. It is a large X painted on the wall with information written inside each quadrant of the X. Data at the top, hazards present to right, team identifier to the left, and bodies found live - unalive at the bottom.

EF2 damage? Trees were debarked, cars thrown 300+ yards, and it threw debris 40,000 feet in the air. That's no EF2.
