This movie freaked me out when I was younger. Looking back, I can't help but wonder, how much of his homicidal rage was induced by being under the effect of his experimental treatment? Gorillas are herbivores, yet this experimental treatment made it so angry it was killing like a carnivore might. Was Caine evil, or had the experiment driven him to do the things he did? He seemed to be anti-social before the experiment, and the experiment definitely screwed with the minds of its subjects, so my guess is probably a mix?
Gorillas are aggressive
@@pablodm9 Only under certain circumstances, most of the time they just protect their family group (a troop I think they are called?) and only get aggressive when they feel threatened or are attacked. In the movie, a gorilla that should have been at most confused was instead homicidally aggressive. That makes me think that either the invisibility or the chemical that caused said invisibility dramatically increased violent tendencies.
Caine complains of the light while he is invisible for example. Imagine what the gorilla must have thought. Suddenly it can't escape the painful light, can't see its own body but knows something is very wrong with its own body. Result: extreme anger, pain, and confusion. Throw in a convenient target and we see a gorilla ripping something to pieces.

For people saying why does Sebastian have all these other powers, watch The Boys. Like Translucent, Sebastian probably has impenetrable skin while invisible due to the coating. After all its a serum, and the scientists never fully completed their research on it so they never discovered the other effects
The coating was only Translucent, it’s not the typical power system of invisibility. To say so is just utter guesswork. As for the super strength, he doesn’t exhibit it at any point in the movie. As for the fire, he was wearing a full latex mask that probably shielded him from the worst of it, and everything else he does is just because he’s invisible, it doesn’t require any other powers

apparently he got superhuman strength lol
Yes
it wasnt mentioned in the recap but his body itself has gotten extremely strong because of the invisibility
What happens is that invisibility serum works, but it has two side effects, one that makes the subject paranoid, and two giving him increased strength, which isn't helped when the rest of the crew start to alienate him by locking him up to study the effects or serum. The paranoia increases over time causing him to go mad.
I remember watching this as a kid. I don’t remember it should watch it again.
1:39 Fun Fact: That tranquilizer gun is an old PMI 1 Sheridan paintball gun.
Why do you know this?
Holy crap sebastian is a beast. He's a true villain
It’s crazy how people are more worried about the dog dying than the people in the movie
Well cuz it’s a dog and dogs bark gor no reason and he didn’t deserve to die
If I'm to choose between saving my loyal dog, or some person who is mostly likely an asshat anyway, I'ma save my dog 🤷
Dogs are better than people
@@kamyarm.9108 well the people didn’t too
idk people in real life dont think but in the context of a movie, we tend to not empathise with the main characters
It pisses me off when i see people show more concern for an animal over another living human being.
There was an awesome line in this movie where he says" you never know what you're capable of if you never have to look in the mirror" or something to that effect...
bruh that cold recap at the end killed me XD Imagine you're on trial and the narrator's the DA assigned to your case! getting the chair for sure...
I would literally become an vigilante
*a
Cool me a thief or hitman
Actually would be pretty sick. But you still gotta be very athletic
@@snazdogdbfan251 I’m pretty much yujiro hanma
@@xushisma-_-6740 nope just athletic
Invisible spiders would be a new terror.
Why did you do this to me
This movie needed to exist but no way would this fly in 2022+ lmao
I’ve always been curious about if you’re invisible and the food that you eat is not, then the food should be visible in your stomach? If it’s not visible then it’s claiming that your body has the ability to make everything you consume invisible. If not then the only way you’d be completely invisible is if you don’t eat and completely empty your stomach, bladder, and intestines.
