i was 4 years old when i went to my first city game at fer ark i remember every saturday if city wer playin at home me my dad and my brother would got and stand in kempton and sing our hearts out as loud as we could no matter what the result we would be there and stay till the very end
My God, I remember playing at boothferry park in1974. I had just left school (16). I was signed on at Mansfield Town F.C. I had been doing well in the youth team prior. We played your reserve side. I can remember in the dressing room... the team was read out... and I was to start. It was a fantastic experience to say the least. I will always remember boothferry park. result: 2-2 draw. I scored to make it 2-1. came as a boy, left as a man. great memories.
Just came across this and can't believe no one has added to the comments in 5 years! Absolute beast of a ground! Went to Boothferry in 1978 following Swansea, 2-2 draw. Stood in the enclosure of the main stand thinking "where is everyone?" Then the trains started coming! Proper club, real fans and that ground just wow!....Oh let's not forget going to other grounds and seeing the Hull hoardes passing you on the motorway in their double decker buses!
nice comments buddie.im born and bread City man.Been going getting on 40 years soon.long time.Seen lots of ups and downs, but over the last 20 have been the best for the position and league but Brian Horton days are some of my personal highs.the Whitehirsts,Edwards,Marwoods,Paytons,Windasses and not forgetting the Askews,Roberts,Palins,Mcewans,Skippers,Normans and many others just all heros.Todays game is an industry now I feel sad to say but through it all I've followed my team,my hull city who rule supreme. Nice video, brings back the memories
First visit to this stadium was in 1958/9 season, stood on Bunkers Hill. Billy Bly in goal, along with the likes of Stan Mortensen, Neil Franklin, Andy Davidson etc. Then of course the best years, Chilton, Waggy et al, with some good back up, notably Ken Knighton. Then it all fell apart for me, not just Hull City but football in general. Around the time the fencing started going up around the grounds due to crowd trouble, I didn't pay to look through a fence. Bye Boothferry Park, and many thanks
Fucking quality. I never went to Boothferry for a game as I only started following City during their first season at the KC, but I went to pick my way through the rubble and weeds on a couple of occassions before it got demolished and I admit that it brought a tear to my eye.
Brings a tear to my eye just to see the old place again. Flying high up in the sky. I'm tempted to link this to the new found fans our glorious club has and see if any of them can even remember Fer Ark. Home sweet home!
I remember my first time going to city in the 70's the pitch must have been the best in any league, next best moment was city beating big head man utd 2-0
Yes i rember it well, got a boothferry return train-ticket from beverley, stood in line at paragan, then on to park yes that was my every other saturday
Us hull fans are off to boothferry later today to say our final goodbyes to the old girl before she gets built upon. Then after that we'll thrash millwall with any luck. You 'ull!
Knew there would be at least one comment like that on this vid. I mean, I have supported the club for a good few years now so I see exactly why alot of long-time fans have a problem with people going just because they're in the top flight, but it's all money to the club and it's great to see the ground full. Only problem I have with it is that I can hardly ever get tickets for the east stand.
Brings tears to my eyes...
Have wonderful memories from this great place.

Not a football fan but really enjoyed this film. Quality Hull related documentary.
