I can't express how thrilled I am by this campaign !! Flying the F14 has been my dream since I have 5 or 6 years old. Heatblur give us this marvelous module and then you give us two extraordinary campaigns to master this beautiful bird and have taste of what real F14 pilots had gone through. I will never thank you enough for what you've done for us, Tomcat lovers. You're the best !!!
This looks absolutely Brilliant!! Wish there was something EXACTLY like this for EVERY module, with this level of detail. I'll definitely be throwing $$ at this!!
Nice job, Reflected. It's so exciting being able to learn how to deploy this aircraft properly. This is going to be one of my favorite campaigns, Paco's the man. I hope down the road, when the A-6 becomes a reality, you can get together with Paco again!
Man if they do a campaign like this for the A6, I’m gonna be in my element. That’s one aircraft in desperate for them to give the DCS treatment too. Sadly isn’t it only confirmed as AI only at this stage?
Man that sounds like work. I might pick it up anyways because I've enjoyed many campaigns on different aircraft. But I already work in an environment with many constraints and tight standards, and although I usually flight test the DCS models and can fly by the numbers given enough motivation, I probably don't have the will for constant attention to details a "qualification" would demand. But you never know, I've decided to learn the F-14 a few weeks ago because I got tired of the F-18 and it's one of the aircraft with many available campaign. I t looks like the format you have chosen (pause and whiteboard + repeat mission) is a very good one for instructing. Keep up the good work, it is appreciated.
Since I was kid going to air shows and ever so inspired by top gun and every aviation movie , however by time I was old enough tomcat was just going out of service so ❤️Keeping my dream alive flying the mighty tomcat is the best . I can finally get solid interactive training to really get my wings ! This perfect! Thank you so much!
Thanks for this. Appreciate all the effort and detail you put into making this campaign. You have set the standard. I really hope your upcoming F-16C campaign has this level of realism to it! This looks absolutely amazing!!! I'm not terribly proficient in the F-14 yet, so maybe I should brush up on my skills so I can get this campaign!
I’m definitely repeating some of the previous comments, but can’t say how excited I am for this campaign, and how thankful for your work! Dream coming true again :)
This will be a day one buy. I've been looking for a strutured way to master the Tomcat and what a better way that going thru a virtual RAG training syllabus! Thanks!!
I still remember watching Speed & Angels back in 2008 when DCS was still in the oven and LockOn: Flaming Cliffs was the king. We used an F-14D mod in VNAO, that basically switched the Su-33 aircraft external model with the F-14D, and we used to dream that someday a true to life F-14D mod would come along and make our dreams come true. The F-14 by Heatblur certainly surpassed my wild imagination of what an F-14 mod would be like, and now having Paco creating campaigns for us... my young self back in 08' would never believe this 🤣
This is the mission that will bring me back to DCS. There might be other training missions out there but nothing that is so strict and rewarding if you complete it for the F14. This is what I've been wishing for. Thank you
Brilliant stuff. I've been wanting to learn the Tomcat more comprehensively as it's just a great jet. This campaign literally fits that bill. Sold, one paying consumer. 👍
Can't wait for this campaign!! Sounds like just the thing to get my butt into the Tomcat I've had in my hangar for over two years! 😎 The one thing I'd love to see included with this campaign would be a suggested mapping for the TM Warthog!
There may be a profile you can download. If not, what I do is open the manual, go to the throttle and stick illustrations, and try to mimic as best as possible to map on your hotas to the illustrations.
I really enjoy your videos! I don't play DCS (anymore), but I love the Tomcat and I always enjoy new videos about it. Especially when they are based on such an interesting campaign.
Looks like a ton of fun. I’m on mission 4 of Zone 5 and it’s a ton of fun. I’ve been flying the Hornet a lot lately but I always come back to the Tomcat. Thanks for all the work you (and others like Paco) do for us. Looking forward to trying Speed and Angels.
Appreciate all your hard work Reflected. I know how psyched the community is for this. Be great if HB/DCS fixed the fuel-probe light (and the luminosity/bloom of all F-14 exterior lights whilst they're at it) in an upcoming Patch. I appreciate the night tanking missions in the Campaign will be fine without it, I'd just like to finally see it be as bright as it should be. The nav and strobe lights for the F-16 & Hornet for example, can be seen clear across the other side of an airbase.
Great Reflected, beautiful campaign as the others you relesed. Tky a lot from Genoa, Italy. Tky also for the many videos really precious I study on these!! If you came in Italy call me for a nice glass of wine!!!! Or... some!!!
What an awesome teaser, Reflected. I'm really looking forward to this campaign. Still have to finish the Zone 5 campaign as well but I'm really curious if I have the skills to become a real virtua F14 naval aviator with the "Speed And Angles" campaign. Can't wait. Anytime Baby 🐱 🤘🏻

Careful, it's not your typical DCS training campaign to hold your hand while introducing a new module. It's the RAG. I explain it here: ua-cam.com/video/gTERDy_Wavc/v-deo.html
Reflected, would you be able to release a pdf manual of sorts for the training missions? It would help "students" to study the hop's training objectives and instructions before getting into the jet.
This is exactly what I've been looking for in DCS. I wish someone would do something like this for primary, intermediate and advanced flight training in the F5E or the T45C. A simulator like DCS needs training resources at the same level of fidelity as the modules.
It's a great idea to let the pilot repeat each part of the mission as needed. This has been a huge limitation in most training campaigns in DCS. Hopefully other campaign developers will take note.
I did not flew a TOMCAT for a while but this is a DAY1 buy for me and jump into it. BTW, I remember, the Tomcat generated masive INS drift during Active Pause. Have they solved this in Heatblur?
I have to say. I’m not an F14 fanatic at the moment, however, this is a Campaign that might just change that. Will this campaign go through the F14 startup, similar to the Iron Flag Campaign for the A-10C? Or will the campaign expect you to be able to go through a proper start up from the start?
No, it's the RAG. Startups and stuff like that should be memorized by heart before your first familiarization flight. Otherwise they wouldn't even let you sit in a Tomcat. I also answer that question here: ua-cam.com/video/gTERDy_Wavc/v-deo.html

Hello everyone, I recently purchased this campaign. I've played all of the others as well on the steam store. However this particular campaign isn't showing up for me in any of the menus. I've verified that it's installed through steam, am I missing something? Thanks everyone!
Where do I download the briefing PDF's for this? I had to stop playing the campaign because I don't want to bang my head against a wall. I want to red them 😅. Anyone know where to look?
I feel sorry for HB for all the work they've put into the Aim54, which nails the studies done by NASA on the AIM54 flight envelope, they've put a lot of painstaking effort into recreating the F14's radar, but they have to suffer the Very painful performance of the missile due to guidance issues, which is centralized in the hands of ED and out of its reach.
Is there any one else that use the F-14 in VR? I tried but it was a really bad experience , inside the cockpit they have made it to look so worn that you can't read many of the labels for buttons and levers in VR. It looks like it has not been for a maintenance in 50 years. I wish they could make a factory new cockpit so you could chose from a factory new f-14 so you can read in VR or a F-14 with poorly maintenance. The only reason I'm not flying it is because I can't read the labels in VR. F-14 is the only module I have that problem in. It is silly.
I would say, Zone 5 appeals to the seasoned fighter pilot, while the speed and angles get you trained on the F-14 after you are done with flight school.
