Beau Soir is a setting of a poem by Paul Bourget that Debussy composed when he was 15:
Where the rivulets are rosy in the setting sun,
And a mild tremor runs over the wheat fields,
An exhortation to be happy seems to emanate from things
And rises towards the troubled heart.
An exhortation to enjoy the charm of being alive
While one is young and the evening is beautiful,
For we are going on, as this stream goes on:
The stream to the sea, we to the grave.
This little piece is a true gem of Debussy's. It never fails to move you
Can you share the sheet music? Or where we can find it?
Do you know where I could possibly get the parts for the harp and violin?
Ahhhhhhh... the opening them song to the radio show "Nightsounds" always loved this masterpiece.
Lindo!
Parfait.
Exquisite !

Now I can live another day
Muy bonito! Gracias por la música!🎼🎵🎶🤗👍💐👏😀
I'd love to have a CD of Debussy's melodies
without the vocals.
But where are their names?????
