Héloïse Carlean-Jones plays Bach Fugue
Johann Sebastian Bach wrote his first solo violin sonata in 1720. It seems that he was very happy with the second movement in particular, since he later arranged it for organ, changing the key from G minor to D minor, and adding a prelude right before it.
Marcel Grandjany, a 20th century organist and harpist arranged the organ version of the fugue for harp, adding it to his collection of works by Bach transcribed for harp.
Recorded at the Curtis Institute of Music on March 30, 2018. Special thanks to Greg Sharrow and Mickey Welde from the AV department for all their help!
