That kitchen is just fine! Nothing turns me off more in an old house than an “updated” kitchen! They are eyesores!
Whoever gets this place will be so lucky. So much potential, a lot of work but wow! It looks like a dream fixer upper.
A lot of work
This is such a great house! Aren't those newel posts the most beautiful? Kevin you did a great job showing off all the features that make this place so special, from the transoms, the fireplace tiles, the matching center lights in the parlors. Thanks for taking the time to bring another treasure to us all!
Such beautiful features just crying out to be loved by a new family. All of those fireplace mantles are just stunning! I can't decide which one I like the most. I hope the old girl gets a steward that loves her as she deserves.
🔹 The overhead lighting fixtures in the first two rooms that Kevin detailed are stunning.🔹
Love your videos!
I’ve learned soo much from just listening to y’all break it all down!
And now?
I notice everything, lollll
This one has a lot of space! And not a lot of bad 'remuddles' to undo. I adore the Art Nouveau influenced fireplace tiles! So beautiful! I actually squealed when I saw the one with the fox amidst the laurels. Also great there is covered parking. You are doing such a good thing, expanding the circle of exposure for these special homes.
Thank you for continuing to bring us historic architectural eye candy. 😅 I love how real you two are! You're my FAVORITE SHOW! Thank you, Thank you for bringing light and goodness to this world!! ❤
Would LOVE to fix this Lady back to her original beauty. Thank you so much!!!!!!
Beautiful house! I love all the detail. Loads of potential. Would be fun to try to redo the back of the upstairs to have a main floor bath and an en suite for the large room with the red couch. Then you could reclaim the family parlor downstairs. It looks like currently only the downstairs is being used.
Beautiful home.
Beautiful home, you did a great job Kevin!! I hope all is well with Laine. Love you two, love your channels. ❤❤
This house is very beautiful and I didn't know Queen Anne house design would look like that, too.
Loads of storage & big rooms
Nice job, Kevin! 👍
Hi Kevin! Nice job! I know Laine is so proud of you. 💗
Its so fun to see one of these fantastic old home lived in, in such a regular way. I love seeing old homes restored to great beauty, but seeing an awkwardly placed couch and a bookcase of DVDs makes homes like this feel attainable and lived in.
Hi Kevin! Way to go! "ya done good"!
Beautiful home! Great Job Kevin!!!
I love their collections and in tact period features, the kitchen in particular. So fun to pretend being a doll in a doll's house.
Thanks Kevin love job showing us around.👏🏼
So beautiful I'm in love ❤
GOOD MORNING - beautiful victorian indeed. Eyed some great old furniture too. Wow.....for those who can afford this beauty, it is a find. I absolutely love all the rooms with variety, and great window works. Lots of space and storage.....AND love this, did I see a eight foot bathtub ????? I hope someone worthy will buy this beauty and take care of it. Thanks. HAPPY NEW YEAR TO YOU.
The tub is enormous but it’s only 6 feet. Which is still one of the biggest I’ve seen.
Haha what a great house! Really beautiful original hardware and I loved that newel post, it was literally a base of a tree, lovely little details.
I am so thankful for this channel! Well done!
Hi Kevin! Thank you for showing us this gorgeous house!
I so enjoy when you feature homes for sale, especially in Natchez. Could you please tell me if the golden color of the entryway wallpaper (Lincrusta?) is the original color? I'd love to get in this house and stage it!!
I lived as a teen in a push button wall fixtures, beautiful chandeliers and sconces with hand pegged red wood floors. It was beautiful. Unfortunately, it was torn down to make room for a Target store eventually. Just terrible.
Wonderful job Kevin! You and Laine are such fabulous ambassadors for Natchez and we just want to reiterate for everyone out there it's a great place to live for all preservationists ❤ affordable. Pleasant Winters. Inexaustable housing stock all the way from Creole Cottages to Victorian Mansions ❤
Amen and thank you!!
Thanks!
Thank you so much!!!!
Love that perfectly framed & timed shot of the flower at the end!
Why are so many houses for sale in Natchez?
There really aren’t that many there are just a ton of great houses. In this instance the owner is no longer able to handle stairs.
Is there a staircase to attic, behind a wall space on 2nd floor? Look.
I didn’t see it but I would think so.
This sounds interesting. What views made you think about this? Im always thinking out floorplans and hidden spaces as well.
Happy New Year, thank you for a wonderful year of videos and looking forward to the coming years videos
Wow!
love this house. i wish we could have gone up to the 3rd floor. any house without a 3rd floor, i don't want. a 4th floor is a plus. i do want to see what condition they are in, even if no work has been done there. but this house is still great in the first 2 floors. i do wonder if any of the painted word was originally not painted. work to do, if so.
I have never seen a push button light switch before. When was that put in?
Have you posted your green(?) paint in the bathroom accident to UA-cam Shorts or TikTok? It was VERY, VERY funny.
I was thinking the downstairs parlor that got converted to a bedroom was for a person who couldn't climb stairs. If it were me, I would keep it a bedroom. But of course, I don't require a huge house, but I like this one. I was wondering if the fireplaces are still usable for actual fires and if the gas heaters in front of each one still function as heaters.
I wonder how much it would cost to move this house to tupelo ms
It’s in a protected district, so moving is off the table. But surely Tupelo has some of her own beauties!
@@OurRestorationNation and we wonder why so many fall into disrepair or abandonment it's because they have to languish is deteriorated impoverished cities.
@@danielmorris7648Natchez is by no means a deteriorated and impoverished city. It’s obvious you aren’t from here. 🙄
What a stunning home! ❤️
Wow ❤
Hi Sir Kevin (or is it Sire Kevin?): While I missed seeing Lady Berry on this tour, I thought you did a fabulous job on your solo flight through this gorgeous house! It has a lot of beautiful features! I love the doors and the unusual shelf like thing in some of the fireplaces and some of the fine detailing in the trim work both inside and outside. I know it’s hard to capture on camera true colors, but was the former parlor now bedroom painted purple, pink, mauve, or pinkle? (You know, that color in sunsets where where the pink and purple merge together and you can’t really tell whether it’s pink or purple, so it becomes pinkle). And was that purple tile in one of the upstairs bedrooms around the fireplace or was that maroon? I know I saw a purple chair in that room that I really liked as well. I’ve always liked purple in houses, and the Victorians did that so well! So great job! And great house! Also, are you and your lovely wife going to be participating in the balloon race in October that benefits the historical society? I would love to see y’all in a balloon flying over over the Mississippi river! Well keep up the great work and thanks for sharing all your hard work, knowledge, and lovely homes! Julia
You saw correctly there was a lot of purple in that home. I don’t think you’ll see Laine in a hot air balloon any time soon but I’d definitely be down for some of that.
@@OurRestorationNation oh cool! That purple added to the home! Well if you get into one of the balloons, maybe Laine can be your ground crew! I think it is neat that it benefits the historical society! Ok well thanks for letting me know about the purple in the house! It helped me truly “see” that beautiful home as it is! Take care!
Where's lane, 🤔 is lane okay? Kevin did a good job.👍
She’s great. She went back to Arkansas for a few days.
Some one pls save
Beautiful house but has knickknack overload lol
Are the power lines on both sides of the street in the south because every time I like a house its cursed with lines over the yard and if its a corner lot both frontage sides have lines across. I don't get it.
I hate power lines too. The lines are typically only on one side.
Hi! Where is Laine?
She’s gone back to Arkansas for a few days. I was on my own for this one.
@@OurRestorationNation thanks. I hope everything is fine.
Just wanted to tell you, that you’d inspired me to study the history of architecture. Adore you both!
Your story as a married couple so impacted me that I wish one day I will find a nice girl that will have common interests with me (🤞it will be smth like preservation of historic houses😅).
Jokes ahead, I really respect your work! One day I’ll start architectural preservation (eg of our Ukrainian baroque mansions, they are gorgeous, but desecrated in many ways by soviet state).
Thanks for your attention
Sending the best vibes :)
I don’t see that the kitchen needs updated at all.
It’s in very good condition. I might just change some of the colors.
I suspect the current owner has lived here for many years. There is so much stuff which will have to be removed when it is sold.
I feel like the white-painted mantels and door trims REALLY took away so much potential beauty from the home. Otherwise, the exterior was very cute.
