I played Pokemon Legends Arceus and my first shiny was a Zubat and I have seen what a shiny Crobat looks like from videos and so I kept my Zubat until it eventually fully evolved into Crobat and it was on my team the entire time within my game and I absolutely love him! Crobat is a great shiny!
This video reminded me of the all of the cool shinies that I have caught within Pokemon games and this video was really relaxing and cool to see different shinies that I haven't seen before as well, I would love to see you do each generation of shinies as a tier list. The venonat story has me in tears 😂. I remember also being young and I decided to new game my fire red and my starter charmander came out shiny but I didn’t realize it until it evolved into charmeleon and even then I wasn’t sure cause I didn’t know what shinies were, I just thought the colors were slightly glitched. It wasn’t until it evolved into charizard and turned black that my mind was blown and I looked into why lol

My fav Gen1 are Charizard, Ninetales, Gyarados, Ponyta and Eevee too superb color changes, even if it's so obvious that they are related to low pixel colors from early games 😅 wish some of them were better, like Gengar! though he got an amazing shiny-switch with his mega Evo, cause it's WHITE! lovely, simply lovely! Uh, two more fun facts about shinies! I had a similar experience to yours: my first shiny was Nidoran M in Pokemon Gold and I thought that the game glitched, so I beated him down ahahah! And the second one, in Pkmn Scarlet I caught a Slowpoke without realizing he was shiny XD he had the SAME color of the original! DAMN! I just realized that while trading it with one of my friend, with King's Rock attached, and it evolved in shiny Slowbro. LOL

I captured a shiny sandshrew in ruby once! When it evolved into a sandslash, my jaw dropped. I thought it was the coolest looking shiny I had ever owned. I named him knuckles 😜 Seemed very fitting for him.

Shades of blue and red look so good in gen 1 shinies because literally 90% of the gen 1 dex are just weathered greens and yellows. It has a bit of a vintage charm now looking at it, which is fitting for now the first of 9 generations, but not a big fan in general.

I don’t know about Moltres, I think Moltres’ shiny is B at best, Charizard is absolutely S tier, but the underrated and best shinies of gen 1 for me are Nidoking and Mew, those blue shinies😍 also, Gastly is instant S tier, that shiny is unreal! I hope you do these for all generations, Rain!
