    For me it came down to the fact that I would have spec'ed a GT with almost everything...which put it in throwing distance to an M1 and you get a superior transmission. So Mach 1 it was for me.

    Ya'll obviously don't know your cars. The Mach 1 has more parts from the Shelby GT350 and the best one to get is the 6 speed transmission with the track package which is more closer to the Shelby GT350.

    Great to see you covering mustangs mate 👊🏼 please take this as a tip and not a criticism 🤞🏼 the 5.0 coyote engine was designed to be and is highly tuneable. Naturally aspirated you can easily achieve well over 600 bhp with a few mods mine is even more than that. Go check out some of the mustang channels (CJ pony etc) Ford designed this engine for tuning 🦅🍺

      You aren't wrong! I perhaps should have been more specific. Naturally aspirated engines require a lot of work to get significant gains (cams etc.) When compared to modern turbo cars which often just need an intake with new software to get relatively significant gains, tuning NA engines starts to look expensive. From factory, Ford have done the most basic of performance mods to provide a solid 460hp and then thrown in a manufacturer warranty. That's quite an appealing package!

      @@JBCTR the last Dyno run I did at a Dyno shootout in Bedfordshire I made 703bhp (Na) a few of my friend’s made a lot more than that albeit they are super charged. The coyote was designed and built to take upto a 1000 bhp easily just change the oil pump gear and bolt on a supercharger. Fantastic cars

      @@JB-F10-M5 a supercharger is forced induction. It’s no longer naturally aspirated at that point 😂

      @@JBCTR true mate I love mine NA it’s upset a few cars 😉 at the ace café on Saturday morning from 11am there will be everyone and every mustang you can imagine mate . It’s the mustang owners club spring meet 11-4 but don’t get there to late or you won’t get parking

    Why just tweak and not go all out with a V8 turbo V4WD instead of basically just cosmetics? Beautiful looking car tho'.

      Because the Mach 1 was never the all out model, that’s the gt500. The Mach 1 is supposed to be a step up from a gt without going to a Shelby.

      @@tubejorrit The 2021 Mach 1 may have the same 5.0-liter V8, but it pulls out 20 more ponies than a standard Mustang GT thanks largely to a revised intake manifold, oil filter adapter, and engine oil cooler. Both the Mach 1 and the GT have 420 pound-feet of torque on tap.
      Borrowed from the GT350, the 2021 Mach 1 also gains a standard six-speed manual transmission for the purists and a smooth rev-matching system. Stiffer sway bars, springs, and bushings all pulled straight from the Shelby GT500 also work to give the Mach 1 a one up from the GT. The Mustang Mach 1’s retro guise isn’t all for your viewing pleasure. The restyled exterior also gives a wind-splitting advantage and allows for 22% more downforce than a Mustang GT, even with the Performance Pack 1 add-on.
      So it’s a little bit more than your breakdown of differences!

    Mach 1 basically just a GT with an intake, a slightly better exhaust system, badges and some other small appearance stuff. And they are charging people an extra 10k for it🤦‍♂️😂😂

      Don’t forget about the suspension and most important the manual trans available. If you are going to get an auto, I would agree get the GT..That transmission makes this car special.

      Well, don't forget the track set up for the suspension, the trans cooler, oil cooler, and the differential cooler...the 20+ horsepower, the Tremec 6 speed...I mean, that alone is 6k, then you add in the track setup, tires, and all the coolers...yeah it's worth the money.

    1969 was the year of the original Mach1, and you completely missed all the coolers, the suspension set up, and the Tremec 6 speed on the Mach1, kinda made it out to be an overpriced GT and all you're paying for is the name. That's far from the truth

    You can customise the GT with body kit and engine upgrades and still have change!!! 💲💲💲
