I really hate the term "Xenophobia" because it honestly doesn't accurately define, capture or describe what's actually happening. It's misrepresenting the truth. Most South Africans don't have a problem with foreigners on the fundamental basis of the fact that they are foreign, we have a problem with the reasons behind why some foreigners come here, what they do when they get here and their treatment and attitude towards South Africans when they're here. If you come correctly and you benefit our society - there's no reason for us to have a problem with you. But if you come with sinister intentions and with a bad attitude towards us, we're going to have a problem with you. Some of the things foreigners do when they get here they will never do where they come from and South Africans will never do when they go to other countries. Qha!
It does capture what is happening in our country ...White foreigners are treated like diplomats of the highest order in this country as compared to our African brothers and sisters !!!!! Let's be honest it's brutal how their treated here!!! Let's not try to sugar coat our country...If I was a foreigner I would rather suffer in my country than to move here!!!

I was told Nigeria is a dangerous place. I never felt threatened, I never experienced any animosity or racism of any kind. They do not have a victim mentality, blaming the past for the wrongs in their country. They became independent more than 60 yrs ago. They know who to blame. I did experience corruption first hand and it is a pity. Too much money disappearing in the pockets of the well connected and the poorer and hardworking people suffering and being denied opportunities. That is unfortunately the scourge of Africa, but the vibrant people of Africa will even survive that. Nigerians, great people, you can change your world

It's interesting because they say the same about Black Americans, just because our people are not inclined to do illegal jobs.
What makes them think we're lazy, I think is because, they come to south Africa looking for any job they get, for less salary, you ask me to make bricks for R30 a bag, I'll refuse because R30 has lost its value, for them it still has value because their currency is low, so they end up doing more jobs than us, if I can go to Europe when have a higher currency, I can work so hard and call the Europeans lazy simple because they won't take any job.

Qha!
You are so right, I also blame the media for the misrepresent.
You want to write a whole thesis justifying nonsense, When you are at the sharp end of the stick that's when you know the pain of xenophobia. You people are hateful and unnecessarily violent. Your government is a problem they don't teach you skills, then you want to take it out on innocent people
South Africans commit crimes outside also, don't be biased
All the women that are dropping like flies in your country, Are they being killed by foreigners or their violent boyfriends and husbands, All the corruption that is happening in your govt, is it being done by South Africans or foreigners, the CIT crimes and hit men, is it by foreigners or south Africans but never will you go out and provoke them or attack them like you do to foreigners. You make foreigners your scape goat for the lies that your govt fed you and the promises they fail to keep. Then you want to open that your mouth and say " you don't have a problem with us" please dont irritate me

As a white South African I worked in Nigeria for 14 months. The Nigerians that worked for me are without exception the most hardworking individuals I have ever met. Nothing is too much trouble. Nigerians, great people, you can change your world
Are you trying to say South Africans have a victim mentality?
Lol why would you experience racism yet you are a descend of people who created racism? Racism mostly comes from your people and not from us and the reason why you calling Nigerians hardworking is because you exploit our African brothers and sisters you people have no shame. Because they have no laws that protect them from exploitation that's why you love them.

Yes sir this country was built off our backs
Spot on . And it still being upheld today and from your ancestors work in past.
@@freedom_is_gold6747 So much nonsense. Our leaders being exiled in Nigeria means what ? That we didn’t build South Africa?
@@africanandproud6792Nonsense is your firstname and BS is your lastname. first of all the guy was talking about the entire africa and foreginers not just Nigerians. Second of all i never wrote that South Africans didn't build SA, i wrote that other Africans did in fact help South Africa.
It is a documented fact that many citizens from Botswana, Lesotho and Swaziland and malawians were working in South African Mines and other sectors. So yes South africans built south africa up, did they do it alone? answer NO. However what you need to talk about is the black south africans that were helping the apartheid regime like Stella Sigcau, Ndaweni Mahlangu.
exactly not so much to say now haa?
