Thank you for great demonstration. Wish I had the metal skills to do something like this. I like the lift and the multi split wedge. One and done. I use a sledge and a wedge. Sometimes a maul. I just can't keep doing this as I'm getting older. Three cords swinging a sledge is wearing out the shoulders and hands

Hi, overall flow is 23l/min, so about 6 gallons. The motors are 3kw each, so total power 6kw. I dont no exact diameter of the piston, guessing 125mm, cylinder outer diameter is 140mm. So at max pressure 210bar the force is about 25 metric tons.
Actually, i havent have a bromlem with big woods. But few times i have got a good jam with small ones. A big diameter wood pushes previous wood thru and clears the wedge. Too small wood can wedge whit previous wood and create a good jam. But overall im happy with the machine and it is ok for my needs. The steel is too thin on the push plate. And many other places too. Did not understand, why the commorsial machines used so thich steel. Now i do.
That latching return throw is brilliant. I was thinking about buying a detent valve for my next build (already got a multi spool block from a scrapped timber crane) but now I'm gonna adapt your idea, thanks !
Thanks. First i was plannin copy this, but then i started thinkin, that semi-auto is safer than flly-automatic 😏 m.ua-cam.com/video/GXIRznGtjXE/v-deo.html
Hi, i really cant say. 95% of the wood that i split is birch, alder, spruce and pine. Here, in Finland we dont have much hardwood. And when we do have, it is tought to be too valuable to "waist" burning. This oak was strike by lightning and we make table out of it. photos.app.goo.gl/gPbHAs4gG3dUWhir9
@@kihoo9423 Juu.
Here is some story about buildin. In finnish thou.. konekansa.net/threads/klapikone-projekti.62249/ If i would start all over, i would spend more money on proper steel, suitable for this kind of machine. And copy somethin like eastonmade splitter. They look very nice. But this machine cost about 500€, so pretty low budget.
This is a great design but instead of letting the firewood fall on the ground I would want to band it before it falls to the ground and makes you pick it up
Thanks. Yes, the table was not very good. I welded some sheet metal under the blade and edges to the debree separator. Works ok now. photos.app.goo.gl/8yFWbdp5JmsTyNPt9
Sorry, not for sale. And if i charge even 10€/h for work, it would be too expensive. There is a lots of commercial manufacturer, that makes good and better machines. Eastonmade for example.. And there is safety issues too, this certainly dot fill regulations.
😅 True. Actually havent use the lift too much. One time even tought that that was a waste of time to build it. But then again, this winter splitted some large birch and then it is nice to have lift when one peace weight is 40-80kg. And there is pritty obvious desing flaw. The splitting operation handle is on the other side than the lift. You can reach it, but litlle unplesent to use like that. The handel sould have been center of the machine.
Def the best splitter ive ever seen....and I have been specifically looking. Well done and thanks for the idea!

How many gallons per minute is the pump? What tonnage is the ram?
And how many horsepower are the electric motors? I want to geek out on the details

Great splitter, now you need a conveyor belt to pile the wood 🪵
Kyllähän tulee klapeja 👍🏼💪🏼! Voi toki olla että vaatii vähän jalostusta ennen kuin tulee CE-merkintä ja myyntiä 😉😁.

Outside diameter is 140mm. So i am guessin the piston diameter would be 120-125mm? 400mm stroke.
