Hey Shane, Thanks for making a video. You're the only Ram track bar replacement I could find on all of youtube. What I get from your video is that it's much harder then one would expect.
It's not bad if you catch it early. If the bar has come loose for a while it will damage the mounting tab and require weld build up. As long as it's not loose or been loose for long the only hard part is keeping things aligned for the reinstall.
Wanted to say thanks. I just changed the track bar on my 2013. It only took maybe a half hour. The tip you give for turning the wheel slight right helped as that bolt came right out. The only real issue I had was then getting the new arm bolt holes to line up. With the help from a neighbor turning the wheel while I was under it got that hole lined up and the drivers bolt slid right in. Easy peasy. Didn't fix the problem I'm having, clunking steering wheel but it tracks a bit better. Thanks again!
If you were to have to do this again on your current truck, would you still go with moog? About to purchase that one, but was wondering on your final thoughts before you traded truck
How long have you had this moog part out in? Asking because I put the same bar on brand new. Correct a lot Of my issue, but I have some slop in my steering Dodge dealership told me that on the 2500 up you have to get the Mopar bar because the moog is universal for all (1500,2500,3500). They told that yes it will fit, but the bushing is not strong enough. I just wanted to see how this moog bar has held up for you ?
Easy way to check what the problem is, is to have someone turn wheel back and forth while you watch all the componets. Be sure to check tie rods ends etc as well. More than likely if you have steer sloop its going to be tie rod ends or the steering gear wear/flexing. The trackbar issue is easy to spot because it the axle will move where it shouldn't when you turn the wheel. Sometimes they wear out quick if the bolt isn't torqued well and double checked after some driving.

Roger Hundley Glad it went well. One thing to check on knocking when steering especially if you feel a bump in the wheel is the axle u-joint.
Did you figure out what the clunking in the steering was? I’m having the same issue. Replaced ball joints and front bearings.
I went with BDS track bar on my 2017 Ram 3500 Laramie mega cab diesel with aisin
Tim Marlaev Was the install of that straightforward? Did you do it yourself or take to alignment shop?
They always turn out to be more then expected when your changing parts. LOL!! Do take care and be safe Shane!
I had it my mind 20 minutes, then I realized the passenger bolt was a tight space. Hopefully we don't see too much rain, east of here is really bad.
I hope so too!

I would! No issues with the moog while I owned it.
@@ShaneBurrell1 awesome, thanks!

I put around 30,000 miles on it before I traded for the 3500.
