We once believed in human duties. They duty to care , the duty to conserve life, the duty to listen etc. When we had forgotten all our duties and started destroying life, no longer respected and listened to other people, no longer cared, we invented human rights and told ourselves we are the good people . Greetings from an european.

In summary, the Noumea Accord is a processus of "decolonization" whereby France transfers some competencies/power to New Caledonia while maintaining control over the currency (CFP), immigration, defense, foreign policies, judiciary, law enforcement and public functions (for example, the head of New Caledonia is a (white)French person with the title of Haut commissaire/high commissioner appointed by the French President , and Kanaky is administered by an oversea minister, a (white)French person, appointed by the French President, as well) . The accord allows New Caledonia to have some institutions(senate, congress) but with limited power. It is actually a recolonization of Kanaky spanning decades, from 1988 to this day, under the cover of "decolonization". The real objective of this accord is to make the recolonization more insidious.
    Where are things now?
Macron is keeping the pressure on the independence movement:
Although he delayed the modification to the French constitution to include the new text on the changes to the provincial electoral body, he gave the independence movement the end of June 2024 to reach a global agreement with the loyalists, settlers opposed to independence from France. This agreement, according to Macron, would enrich the text being added to the French constitution. However, he warned them that at anytime he can call for a national referendum that would also involve French people living on the mainland, most of whom never set foot in Kanaky and know nothing about France colonial history in Kanaky let alone the complexities and subtleties of the different accords(Matignon, Nouméa ) that were signed between the independantists, loyalists and the French gov't.
Additionally, the leaders of the independence movement have been placed under house arrest.
As of June 6 2024, a total of 84 Kanaks have been killed by the French armed forces in Kanaky.
Settlers are working together with the contingent of police forces(Gendarmes, CRS, GIGN, RAID)deployed in the archipelago to apprehend militants young kanaks, jail them and some instances kill them. Mobile police units are also assisted by helicopter with snipers ready to shoot at any moment(France24). There is a video circulating on Franceinfo of a settler going after and tackling a young kanak militant who was running away from the police.
According to a testimony from a young Kanak, he and his friends were arrested after the police planted evidence on them. They were transported to a police station and placed in police custody for 48 hours for destruction of public properties. The police interrogated them and falsified their dossier and threatened to kill them multiple times during the interrogation. Then they were made to pass in front of a judge immediately. It's unclear whether they have lawyers to represent them.
More testimonies are coming out from young Kanaks about police brutality. A young man testified that a policeman hit him with rubber bullet(s) while he was out in the evening to buy tobacco. He lost consciousness and was found the following day by passersby who took him to the police. A rubber bullet hit one of his eye and it is not clear whether his vision is still intact. There is a video of this young man circulating on UA-cam,
Not one armed settlers have been arrested.
A squadron of additional policemen will stay in the archipelago permanently.
The northern area where many Kanaks live hasn't received new food supply. People are sharing among themselves little they have.
Access to healthcare has also been limited to medics and volunteers. For example, Kanak dialysis patients are only receiving limited treatments. Kanak healthcare professionals including doctors and medical specialists are very few and far between. So Kanaks have always relied on settlers healthcare professionals.
Some in the French establishment, who originally may have backed Macron, are having second thoughts as they come to the realization it is going to be more difficult to promote the concept of "vivre ensemble/living together", "destin commun/shared destiny" that has helped keep the lid on the situation for 35 years in the face of mounting economic disparities, social and spatial segregation. They think that unlike their 1980's predecessors(Michel Rocard, Edgard Pisani, Christian Blanc and others, who were the principal architects of the Nouméa and Matignon accords, negotiated and implemented them ) Macron and his administration lack their intelligence and their 'grande finesse d'esprit', as they move unilaterally with police pressure and public pressure(some settlers and French politicians have falsely accused the independantists of anti-white racism) to reach their objectives.
Others on the right and far right of the political spectrum think Macron should tell the Kanaks, without any ambiguity, that they will never get their independence and France will never leave New Caledonia. It is part of France and part of the EU and it needs to be that way to protect Australia from future Chinese aggression, to benefit Western powers during their eventual confrontation with China and for world stability. New Caledonia is also part of the power play between the West and other regional powers in the region like China and India.
In case people are wondering where I get my info, I am bilingual which give me access to multiple sources of info on Kanaky.

Why don’t we tell them about the class action suits off limits due to king Henry clause in the Supreme Court so we can reverse the who’s savage image? We know America doesn’t pay tension to this bcuz it stopped using colonies. It’s only one letter away from what the natives are called in Hawaii kanak-a. I’m noticing you guys still don’t want to undo the gossip you did about my mom Buffy but I think it’d be productive and educational for the world to get her perspective even if it’s thru me. Thanx all. I might do my own show again pretty soon if ya wana come on.
